Day Three

"Changing someone else's life
positively,
changes yours for the better
as well."

London Is Truly A Beautiful City

Most mornings, I wake longing for a familiar 'bitter but sweet' liquid which fills my insides like a warm hug.

An elixir that jolt me into functioning being.

It's always been a cup of coffee for me.

For the first time, It's not...

My body feels electrified and excited to see him. Cameron made conversations with him seem so easy, his aura radiates a feeling of comfort and security.

Throughout the night, his dark-brown eyes plague my brain. Not knowing if that's a good thing but he seem to have himself imprinted deep inside my mind.

What's happening to me?

"Nothing tops that feeling, right?" Chase brows wiggles.

"What are you talking about?"

"First date at eighteen."

"It's not a date!"

He snorts a laugh. "If you don't text me often, I'm calling the cops."

"Yea, rain on my parade."

"Have fun." He wink.

Upon entering, I see him sitting in the same seat, with two cups placed on the table. My heart skips a beat.

"Hi."

"Hey Betty-Butter!" His lips curve, making my heart race.

"Ever think you'll use my real name someday?"

He smirks. "I'm glad to receive your presence."

"Do you like?" He offers me a cup of Tall Mocha Frappuccino.

"Yes, thanks." My cheeks heat up a bit. "So what's the story behind your scar."

"The game won't be fun if I just give you what you want in the first five minutes."

We go back and forth before I give in. "Alright, I'll start."

"I drink my coffee black, with three sugar."

"My sister prefers her hazelnut macchiato with no foam too, she claims it makes her feel bloated."

"Yeah." I say lamely, that's why I never had a boyfriend.

"Okay, I said that to make you appear less strange."

"Says the one who likes his coffee in the form of ice-cream."

He chuckles, "Fine, we're both strange."

Now a blush creep on my face. "I don't just enjoy masking the flavor of my coffee with milk."

"I've Epilepsy."

"What?" Asking in disbelief. He didn't answer, I didn't push.

"I've vocal cords paralysis."

"Born in Los Angeles, California, United States."

"East coast of Massachusetts, US."

"I have a dog named Cienna."

"Don't have a pet."

"Love playing basketball."

"Love swimming."

"I can break dance."

"I have two left legs." He smiles, revealing the dimples in his cheek.

"Sushi is my favorite."

"Tacos all the way!"

This may sound cliché, but the moment Cameron's hand touch mine, I feel sparks.

Did he feel them too?

Geez, I'm such a 'girl' sometimes.

"Hey, Betty-Butter?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You just did."

"An actual one." I smile.

"Um... Is there anyone who'll feel some type of way... about us going to dinner Saturday?" He scratch the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Yeah, my brother."

His eyes widens.

"I'm only messing with you!" I giggle like a sixteen-year old girl flirting with her crush.

My whole body warms. "Are you asking me out on a date?"

"Yes." He grins, leaning towards me. "So what type of food do you like?"

"Errm... I like anything really as long as it doesn't have Ketchup and I'm allergic to strawberries."

He makes a face, grabbing my phone off the table.

"What are you doing?"

"Exchanging numbers," He doesn't look up. "I sent myself a text, will save yours now."

Cameron walks me home, and I prepare myself for twenty questions with Chase.

"And thus, begins Chelsea's classic love story with freckle-face dude." Chase walks away before I can react.

What?

Um.
