"How come there's only the three of us at the Cafe and serving the guests?" I questioned.

"Because they are all on a holiday," Chris answered, "Well, but one of them is on a business trip, that's why."

"Sigh, such a stupid question…" Candice mumbled. However, I pretended that I didn't hear what she said.

Suddenly, there's some honking sound outside.

"Okay, please do your best!" Chris smiled.

It was 8 o'clock now, and I was extremely nervous, Chris told me that they were all high-level guests and we had to leave a good impression to them.

*Ding ding*

The guests who were walking in were all finely dressed: Women in elegant beautiful dresses, with diamond and ruby necklaces; men in neat suits and their hair gelled.

"Welcome to Cafe Rouge!" I greeted them politely, and I bowed as deeply as I could. But all I heard was a small chuckle from them.

"New girl… huh?" They mumbled, and I sensed that they were laughing at me. Not rude though.

In a while, I was running around the cafe like mad to serve the guests.

"Isis!" Called out Chris from the kitchen, "Take this to the guests in Antoine's office!"

"Yes!" I got the food and walked to Antoine's office.

"Um…" I raised my hand and wanted to knock on the door, but I hesitated.

"Should I knock or say 'excuse me' first…?" I asked myself.

"Okay…" I whispered. "Excuse me, I have brought your dinner."

SILENCE

I decided to open the door. I turned the door knob quietly.

"Huh…?"

There were two guests in Antoine's office. They seemed to be hugging each other, however, I saw some red liquid trickled down from one of the guests' neck. I also saw two pairs of sharp fangs pierced in her neck…

BLOOD
THAT'S BLOOD

I stared at them helplessly, I was bewildered. My conscious was floating away, my body became lighter…

"Mmm…"

I slowly opened my eyes, a bright light greeted me.

"Are you alright?"

I turned my head to my right, and saw Antoine standing beside the sofa that I was resting on.

"…What happened…?" I was so puzzled.

"You fainted, silly goose," He smiled.

"……When…Ah! I remembered, I saw the--" Then I stopped immediately and covered my mouth.

"……There's nothing to hide, you knew our secret, don't you?" A mysterious and dangerous smile came into view on Antoine's face.

"I…I didn't see anything…" I quibbled, of course, that's a lie. "Wait, so you… You are a…vampire too…?!"

"Hmph," He chucked, "Yes, Miss Black, this is a vampire cafe, we serve normal customers in the morning, but vampires at night."

I didn't said a word, I was terrified, he wouldn't do anything to me, would he?

"Well, I don't mind telling you our secret, but you have to pay your price in exchange for knowing it."

"………What price………" I whispered so softly that I could barely heard what I said just now.
