"done!" i gasped, i turned back to katie. she's cleaning up her station, damn she's fast.

"great! we should be done for the day." she walked towards the door and took a peek through the creak. "and it seems like the line died down a bit." she turned back to me with a big mischievous grin.

"what?" i stared at her confused, i don't know what's happening exactly? "is there something on my face?" i rubbed my hands all over my face, making sure i got anything off, but when i checked my hands again
, there was nothing there. katie flipped back around, her back facing me.

"what was that?" i asked her, but she didn't seem to care. she turned towards me once again and pressed her back and the palms of her hands again the door. katie looked up at me and i don't know whether to be scared or not. she opened her mouth to speak, but when she did.....

"katie? are you in there?" there was a fuzzed out voice behind the door and i couldn't tell who it was. i heard them try to push it open but with no success. "did you lock the door?!"

"shit." katie whispered so low that i almost missed it.

at this moment katie's face was flushed, it was beat red but i could still see her freckles. her eyes looked so relaxed too, as if she wasn't fazed by this but her face was telling a different story. she sighed in defeat.

"yes." katie said clearly.

"and why is that?" the voice just sounded like a low mumble, but i could interpret the words. katie's face stood still, she showed no emotion for a minute until she returned to talk again.

"i made this mess, you see, i don't want you to see it."

"katie, i've seen a lot of your messes. especially when you think of new ideas for inventions." inventions?

"listen. beezer, i'm not opening the door."
beezer? what kind of name was that!?

"why? got a boy in there?" beezer said playfully. katie let out a small meep. "no. don't tell me you actually do?!" his? i'm going with his, his voice was in a state of shock. he didn't sound like he was believing anything she told him. when katie didn't say anything back he started up again. "ok then, i'm going to go get the key."

i saw in pidge's that she was panicking. she pushed off the door and hurriedly walked over to me. she grabbed my collar and pulled me down for a kiss. it was sloppy, yes, but i did enjoy it. i didn't notice it before, but i was being pushed back. she broke from the kiss looking a little out of breath even though she kissed me first.

"wait for me at my house. ok?" she quickly said before looking back at the door than again towards me.

"ok?" i honestly am so confused in this whole mess.

"good." then she slammed the door on me, i didn't even notice that i was outside. when did that happen?!

should i head back to her house? i guess so. i started walking on the street until i realized something. i don't know her address!

[12:38] <pidge❤️>: ok then. send me your address and i'll meet you at your house.
[12:38] <lance>: my house!
[12:38] <pidge❤️>: yes your house.
[12:38] <lance>: but my parents are off!
[12:38] <pidge❤️>: ok?
[12:38] <lance>: that means you'll meet them!
[12:38] <pidge❤️>: lance if you don't send me that address!
[12:39] <lance>: why can't we just meet up at your place?!
[12:39] <pidge❤️>: cause i look like a hot mess right now.
[12:39] <lance>: what are you talking about? you never look like a hot mess, your beautiful every time i see you.
[12:39] <pidge❤️>: that's sweet of you lance, but seriously i need to change.

i sighed after grunting in defeat. i can't say no to katie. i texted katie my address and made my way to the house. it was a short
distance away from the café especially if i took the shortcut through the park.

i don't know how i feel about letting pidge come to my house, yes i wanted her to meet my parents and i already knew hers, but i wasn't worried about her. i was worried about my family, would she be comfortable around them? the twins are here today as well, surely they'll cause trouble. plus marco, luis and veronica was here too.

"this is going to be terrible!" i started panicking, i mean who wouldn't be if your crush is coming over to  your house by choice.

before i knew it i saw the twins sitting by the door.

"and what are you two doing outside?" i crossed my arms wanting a response and fast.

"abuela said we couldn't go inside unless we cleaned our shoes." the girl turned to her brother, wanting him to finish the rest. "and we left them in the neighbor's backyard." he sighed.

these two were trouble, i hope katie doesn't mind. i broke my serious manner and gave my niece and nephew a hug. i love them so much.

i passed them and entered the house where a crawling baby approached me.

"up! up!" she clenched her hands as if showing me what i needed to do. i couldn't say no to that fast so of course i picked her up.

"oh rose, you are too cute." i tapped her little nose before kissing her on her forehead. now where were the parents?

"marco! luis!" no response. "i know your here! the twins are outside and rose is just roaming around the house which isn't safe!"

"rose! thank god you found her, or i would've had an angry luis." veronica came running towards me and basically snatched rose away from me.

"so they aren't here?"

"no. they went out with mama and papa. they'll be back in two hours or so. did you need them?"

"no. no. this is perfect." i smiled. maybe things will turn out right.
