"hey guys, what's up?" i smiled.

"nothing much, what about you, sunshine?"

"sunshine?" hunk questioned. "when did you two start getting all lovey dovey?"

"i've always adored pidgey this way! isn't that right, holt?" lance smiled up at me.

"holt?" keith turned to us.

"long story. anyway, your orders?" i laughed it off.

"i would like a katie holt please." lance pulled me down to the floor with him. i fell right on top of him and stopped only a few inches away from his face.

"why don't you two just make out?" keith snickered. i mean i wouldn't mind it, plus my parents aren't at the café right now.

"oh keith, they just started courting. give them time." allura told her boyfriend.

"i already see those to all lovey, i can't see you two now!" hunk complained.

"you probably won't see anything since lance is a baby. they won't have their first kiss for awhile now."

"keith, don't be so rude." she lightly slapped him.

"i've kissed katie before!" lance whined, looking away from me.

"all the time!" he bit back. i feel like this will be one long argument if someone doesn't stop it soon.

"yeah, i've been calling you for a while now." i looked down at his lips then returned my gaze to his eyes.

"excuse me, but that's my sister you're devouring." matt tapped on lance's shoulder.

"she seems to be enjoying it." lance broke away to point out.

"mmhm." i agreed before continuing our kiss.

"i'm gonna go back into the kitchen, it's safer there." matt joked. "if you guys make it out alive from what looks like wild animals mating, i'll give you a free lunch to anywhere you'd like."

"applebee's?!" hunk gasped.

"do i look rich to you?" matt snapped. "no. so we'll go to mcdonald's and i'll let you get anything."

"off the dollar menu."

"matt, that's hardly considered a treat after what we're about to endure." allura whined.

"fine because the princess is here, we'll go to wendy's then get some ice cream. sound good?"

"perfect!" hunk yelped.

"using up all my money on some high school students." matt grumbled. "ok, i'm out."

"wait." keith stopped matt. "i'm lactose intolerant." he reminded him.

"oh i know. it's just one less kid to pay for."

"yeah, you're making me uncomfortable." keith cringed.

"oh i most definitely do, but keith and i are never like this." keith looked at allura confused. "well, at least not in public."

"who do you think will win?" i overheard hunk whispering.

"hunk this isn't some game we can bet on." allura hushed him.

"pidge. a hundred percent." keith chimed in.

"oh definitely. i just didn't want to be the first one to say it." she sighed.

"i think lance, my buddy here, is definitely gonna win."

"how much you wanna bet?" keith snickered.

"ten bucks."

"make it fifteen, and you got yourself a deal." allura added.

i was too caught up in what they were saying that when lance bit my bottom lip it took me by surprise. i broke away from the kiss to look lance in the eye. i knew my face was probably red since i felt it heating up. i touched my lip exactly where he bit it. that kiss was amazing.

"15 bucks, cough em up." hunk held his hand out waiting for allura and keith. keith grumbled before taking out his wallet and paying the man.

"will you accept monopoly cash?" allura took out her wallet filled with the game's money.

"what the fuck allura! why do you have so much?" lance shrieked. i looked back at allura.

"i don't know. after playing the game with keith i just stashed them in my purse." she shrugged.

"that's why you keep winning!" her boyfriend acknowledged.

"well i'll leave you guys then. i have to get back to work anyway." i got off of lance.

"yeah that's right! katie get your ass in here and finish these cookies!" my brother hollered.

"yeah yeah, i'm coming." i mumbled. i turned around and started heading towards the kitchen when i remembered something. "oh! i totally forgot, i came here to take your orders. it's november, so the menu changed."

"november already?! i could've sworn october just started." lance sighed. "what's on the menu?"

"don't you come here every day?"

"i swear it's different every year. remember last year the cranberry pie smoothie?"

"i wouldn't know." i sadly chuckled. i've missed a lot of things.

"you don't remember last year's menu?" the white hair girl asked.

"i wasn't here last year."

"that makes sense."

"yeah, so this menu is vanilla themed. so kinda like the basic flavors, but we do have some seasonal flavors."

"what's the seasonal flavors?" hunk asked.

"yeah so here's the catch. i can't tell you what it is, you'll just have to trust me enough to make your order." i grinned.

"that sounds scary." he quipped.

"we'll take 4." lance added. "i trust you."

"bad mistake, but sure. i'll be out with your drinks soon."
