I see but am not seen
I speak but am not heard
The echo is in me
but it doesn't get far

I am a ship in a bottle
sinking slow
All dressed to the nines
with no place to go

I feel but am not understood
I reason but am called a fool
There is wisdom here
beyond my years

but no one listens

I am an ocean at the edge
of an abandoned world
A flag for great causes
never unfurled

Now they laugh but I leave
They chase but I hide
There is no truth they hold
They are shallow inside
