Scenario 1:Baby Steps

Australia woke up with his head aching.He looked around and saw that he was in a dark room.

"W-Where...where am I?"

He looked around and frowned when his eyes had adjusted in the dark as he sat up.

"How did I end up here..?"

He doesn't have any recollections on how he even got here in the first place,but one thing's for sure.

He saw many countries lying there,and not breathing.This freaked him out.

Wy...

England...

New Zealand...

"As big brother...I wouldn't want to end up like them...so I should already take my leave!"

There is no time to be guilty...I could be the last survivor!

He looked at his side and saw his koala sleeping soundly.He gently shook him,causing it to hiss.

"Ssh...quiet down.We need to get out of here."

And he reached out for his lighter inside his pocket and opened it as he stood up dusting his pants,with his fierce koala hunched on his back.

Australia rubbed his nose as he smelled something awful.

"Geez...what the heck!This place should really need some  cleaning."

Australia went for the door to open it.

...but it won't budge.

"Dammit!It just won't open!"

"What are you doing?"a voice said from behind, which made the frozen Australian whip his head around in shock.

And he saw America.Australia sweat dropped and his koala went to go scratch the blonde at the face but Australia stopped his pet.

"America.You scared me."

"Bruh,like this place can't get more scarier!"America shuddered."I hate ghosts,"

"Do you remember why we're here?"

"I don't know!"America pouted.

"We need to get out of here,then."Australia said seriously.

"I know."America looked around.

"But the door's locked."Australia informed him.

"I know."America looked at him dead in the eye.

Australia narrowed his eyes at him.

"You know..."

"I know."America nodded.

"Really?You know you're annoying."Australia crossed his arms.

Objective:Find a key to open the door*

"I'm sorry,okay!?Let's just get this over with."

Australia ignored him and walked forward.

"There's got to be something to open the door."

Australia spotted a cabinet.

...and so he opened it and saw dusty,old clothes.He rummaged around,making the koala sneeze in the process.

"Haha...sorry."Australia petted his koala's head,which who grunted in response.

Australia can hear the shuffling and contact of things,indicating America is also searching.

"Nothing important in here."Australia sighed as he closed the cabinet.

"In here too..."America groaned."I'm hungry!"

"Really,now."Australia sweat dropped."But honestly I am too...and I bet koala is also..."

But I doubt there would be any food in this forsaken place.

America looked around the room with Australia.

He glanced at the unconscious bodies laying neatly in rows and saw England.

"England..."

Then his brother.

"Canada..."

Then his best friends.

"Japan..."

"Philippines..."

Tears formed at the corners of his eyes so he vigorously rubbed it away with his arm.

I shouldn't cry because I'm a hero!!!

He sniffed before nearing the large,glass window.

He suddenly got an idea.

"Hey Australia!"

"Yes?"

"Look here!"America touched the glass.

He heard footsteps coming closer,and soon he heard Australia talk beside him.

"What?"

"We can just wreck this wretched window and we can jump down to get out!!!Brilliant, right!?"

Australia glanced down the window and sighed.

"America.We're two-storey down below.We could break our bones.And...there are large spikes surrounding the first five meters of this house.We could get severely injured."

"Oh."America widened his eyes in realization."I didn't notice."

"It seems."Australia scratched his nape.

The two males proceed to searching.

America reached a suspicious-looking part of the wall.

"Hmn.It seems that some part of this wall is torn.But I have this weird feeling in my gut..."

America tore down the old print and saw a key hanging at a nail.

*Obtained Door Key

He used his signature laugh in victory,which alarmed Australia.

"America?Is everything alright?"

"The key!!!I found it!!!...Sorta..?"

Australia went near him and snatched the key from his hand and inspected it.

"Yes!It really is!Now let's go."he dashed for the door.

America stood rooted at his spot,with his head down which casted a shadow on half of his face.

"But is it right to leave them..?"

Australia stopped as he inserted the key in the keyhole.

He knew too well what the American was talking about.

"Alfred,"he said,using America's real name."I don't want to leave anyone here.But we should really get out to save ourselves:the last living people I think."

America inhaled sharply.Then after a few seconds,he spoke up.

"...You're right."

America went to Australia's side.

"Be a dear and open the door for us."Australia joked to lighten up the mood.His koala glared at America(oops Yandere alert).

America smiled as he gripped the handle.

"Thanks Aussie."

*Second Floor Hall*

Cold air greeted them as they exited the room they came from.

Just like the room earlier,the hall also had an eerie vibe in it.

"I'm starting to get scared."America whispered.

Left with no choice,Australia stepped forward to be the lead.

"H-hey!Wait up!"America called.

Australia rolled his eyes and continued walking as he heard America's running footsteps from behind.

This hall is longer and larger than I thought.And there are many rooms we could maraud...

"I just hope they're open."

"What?"America frowned,not hearing what he said.

"Nothing,"Australia face-palmed.

He proceeded to the nearest door.

"Shit."

"Hey,I'm hungry!Let's go find the kitchen and eat!!!"America suddenly complained.

"Ugh,you and your selfishness."

"Hey!"America pouted.

Childish.

"Okay,okay."Australia smiled as he raised his hands in the air as a sign of defeat,whilst his koala hissed at America.

"Geez...what's your Koala's problem...he also adds to the scary atmosphere."America hugged himself protectively.

Objective:find kitchen*

Get something to eat...or feed America*

"Help me open these doors first."Australia said as he moved away from the door and went to go for the other door.

"Okay,"

"Ugh,this thing's locked."he heard America say.

"This too."

Next door.

"This is getting ridiculous."Australia mumbled.

Australia backed away and noticed a dusty painting.

"Just an old,blurred painting of Mona Lisa.Who knows if this is the original or not."

Just after he said that,the eyes of the woman in the portrait looked at him.

"Eh!?Is it just me,or her eyeballs really seem to move to look at me!?"

His koala hissed at the painting and jumped to scratch it.

Australia reached for his temples to rub it.

Maybe I'm just hallucinating...yeah.Because I'm hungry.And this place is kinda dark ...

"Hey,here!"America declared.

Australia found America open two large doors and so he ushered in with him.

*Grand Staircase*

The staircase would've been very beautiful Australia could've appreciate it.But no,it looked like it hadn't been kept in years.

The staircase only leads to the next floor.

America dashed upstairs,with Australia on his heels.

*Third Floor*

"Is that the kitchen I see!?"America shouted in glee,pointing at a large doorway.

He dashed for it,leaving the Australian behind.

"Hey,Wait for me!!!"

Little did they know,someone heared them and is now heading their way.

*Kitchen*

America immediately went to the refrigerator to look for food.

A disgusting scent greeted his nose,and he saw rotten cheese and spoiled food so he shut the fridge as fast as he could.

"What the hell!?"

"What's that's smell?Awful."he heard Australia say from behind.

"Insides of this fridge."

He went to the counter and saw a couple of jars.

As he sneezed,the dust covering a faded pink jar disappeared a little,revealing a bunch of candies.

America grinned as he opened the lid and checked the date of when will it expire.

Yay!Next year.This would do...

"Hey Aussie!Want some?"

Australia appeared beside him with a grin.

"Thanks bro!I'm starting to think you're somewhat cool."

Objective:Get something to eat...or feed America*COMPLETED

Australia started to walk away and search for more useful things.

Then,they suddenly heard light tapping.

"Eh?America is that you?"Australia said as he stopped in his tracks and looked at him over his shoulder."Do you need anything?Or perhaps you found something?"

America frowned.

"Me?I was going to ask if it was you."

Tap.Tap.Tap.

"Footsteps?"America suggested."And it's coming this way..?"

"See?It ain't mine.My footsteps are not that light."Australia shrugged.

America's heart started to beat rapidly inside his ribcage.

Is it someone?Or...a ghost!?

"Australia...don't joke around like that!"

"America.Can't you see I'm just standing here?"

Suddenly,a hand grabbed Australia's hair tightly,making him yelp in pain.

"Aussie!?"America panicked.

From behind Australia,America saw a baby.

A baby with no pupils,which smile is stretched wide from ear to ear evilly,showing it's sharp,pointed teeth.It's head is also bigger than it should be.

It was so hideous America's mind turned blank as he shivered.

Australia's koala scratched the undead baby,making it hiss and stop pulling Australia's hair--but it grasped said animal.

"Koala!!!"Australia yelled as he whipped around to see his pet being dragged into the dark.

"Australia!Are you alright!?"America neared the Australian man.

Australia looked down his feet and balled his fists in rage and sadness.

"We're too late.He...he's taken.But...but he can't be dead..!I wouldn't allow it...I can't--"

America isn't used to these moments, so right now he just put a hand on his shoulder.

"He will be alright...he's a fighter.We're going to find him."his words rang hollow even in his ears.

Australia wiped the tears off his cheeks before fixing himself.

"My koala sacrificed his life for me...I shouldn't betray his expectations and carry on.I'm the adventurer,after all."

"And I'm the hero who is ready to accompany you."America gave him a small smile as he said words of encouragement.

Australia nodded as he shrugged America's hand away.

"Let's keep going,then."

Before the two left the kitchen,they decided to pick up some weapons,seeing that this place is dangerous.

Australia opened the kitchen cabinet which looked like half of it was eaten by termites and saw a kitchen knife.

"This might be handy."

*Obtained Kitchen Knife

He turned to America,and he saw him holding a hammer.

As the two walked outside the kitchen,they saw blood smears on the wall at the far corner of the hall.So they went to check it.

Australia widened his eyes as he saw blood.

"I hope this is not Koala's blood."

"No,it's not."America convinced themselves.

Australia touched the blood and brought his hand to his nose,sniffing it.

"It's not his."he sighed in relief."But whose blood is this?"

"I don't know.Maybe let's just leave it."

As the two walked away,the question inside Australia's head is to where is his Koala's whereabouts.

I hope he's fine.
