My alarm rang at exactly at 6 a.m. I yawned and it took me a few moments to realize that I was actually in Gary's room. I smiled and saw that my mom was still asleep on the bed. Once I got ready for school, I left a note for my mom and grabbed my bag. I slowly tiptoed out of the room, careful not to wake her up. Nobody else was awake yet. I went outside and started to walk to school when I heard somebody calling my name.

"Yah, Song Ji Hyo! Wait up!"

I smiled and turned around to see Gary running towards me. "You're up early. I thought you'd sleep in."

"Well, normally I do." Gary said when we started walking together. "But it's not safe for you to walk to school this early in the morning."

"Thank you." I said.

"No problem. The school isn't that far anyway, it's probably just like a 12 minute walk." Gary assured.

I laughed. "It's fine. It's been a while since I had some excersise."

"I heard that the test results might come in today." Gary said nervously. "You think we're going to make it."

I nodded, feeling confident. "Of course. We worked so hard for this day. It's all going to pay off soon."

"Ji Hyo, if we do make it... I should get a reward shouldn't I?" Gary asked with a smile.

"Of course. Anything you want." I smiled.

Gary nodded. "Okay. I get to ask you one question and you have to agree to whatever I ask you to do."

"What are you going to ask me?" I asked curiously.

Gary smiled, "You just have to wait." He started running.

"Gary! Kang Gary!" I ran after him laughing.

-Nickhun-
I sat down by myself in the cafeteria and are some rice. I looked around for my other friends, but no one seemed to be here. Then I spotted Lizzy looking over her textbook at me. When she saw that I was looking at her, she quickly covered her whole faces with her anatomy textbook.

I smirked and continued to eat my rice. When lunch was over, I headed to my locker and Noticed Lizzy following closely behind me. I opened my locker and glanced behind me to see Lizzy hiding behind a garbage can, probably praying that I hadn't noticed her. I smiled and tiptoed towards the garbage can and said, "HELLO!"

Lizzy stood up in shock. "You.. how did you..."

I smiled and held out my hand for her. "How about I walk you to class today?"

Lizzy looked confused, "Me? Why?"

I shrugged and started to walk away. "fine, if you don't want to..."

"No!"

Next thing I knew, Lizzy held my hand with a happy smile on her face. "Thank you."

-Song Ji Hyo-
"So you're staying at Gary's house?" Joongki asked. "How are you guys doing?"

"Well...my mom literally wants to murder Gary. But other than that everything's fine." I said as we walked down the grand staircase.

Joongki smiled, "That's good. Sorry you can't come over my place. I would, but my mom thinks you're a bad influence. At least you're not staying at Jong Kook's house. that would be a disaster."

I nodded. "Tell me about it." The minute we got in to the cafeteria somebody shouted, "THE RESULTS ARE OUT! The semester results are out! GUYS, LOOK!"

Joongki and I looked at each other with wide eyes and ran out of the cafeteria again. I spotted Nickhun, Lizzy and Gary and we all ran towards the large paper on the bulletin board. All five of us pushed through the crowd and stared at the list. At the bottom was Kim Woo Bin. I noticed him shrugging and walking away from the crowd.
My eyes travelled to the top and I stared at the paper in shock.

"Daebak, Kang Min Hyun got bumped down to number two!" Krystal said in shock. "He is not going to be happy about this. And... I'm number 43! That's amazing! But..." she stared at us, but didn't continue the sentence. All five of us were speechless?

How could this have happened? I told them that they should have confidence... we tried so hard and.... WE MDE IT TO TOO TEN! Joongki was number one in the whole school. Lizzy was fifth, Nichkhun sixth , Gary eighth and I placed third!

"This is incredible!" I cheered. "GUYS WE DID IT!"

The others still looked shocked, but they cheered as well after a few moments of realization. We gave each other high fives and a group hug. I smiled at Gary who looked just as shocked as the other students.

"I did it'" He looked at me and hugged me tightly. "And all thanks to you Ji Hyo! Don't forget my offer, okay?" Gary grinned.

I nodded and smiled. Then I turned around to look at the other students who were all talking amongst themselves. "So... we won. And you guys.... LOST! What did we tell you guys? Look at us now. Joongki over here ranked out Kang Min Hyuk. Now you have to leave us alone and treat us as fairly as the other students. Okay? Okay!"

-Kim Jong Kook-

"Yah, Jong Kook oppa."

I sighed and turned around to see Eun Hye walking towards me.

"Can you believe it? Joongki even ranked out Min Hyuk. So now we have to stop bothering them?" Eun Hye asked.

I shrugged. "That's what Ji Hyo said isn't it? To leave them alone?"

Eun Hye looked at me weirdly. "Something's up. You never let people tell you what to do... especially the students chosen during Jai Ho. What's up?"

"Why did you come back?" I asked. "Didn't you say that you're calling off the engagement? And since when did you start caring about my feelings?"

"Jong Kook. Just because we broke up doesn't mean that I don't care about you." Eun Hye answered calmly.

"You broke up with me." I said.

We both stared at each other in silence.

"You broke up with me." I repeated. "So you should stop worrying about me."

I started to walk away when Eun Hye said, "I see the way you look at Ji Hyo."

I stopped walking. "What are you talking about?"

"Usually you make other people bully the Jai Ho kids. But you've been taking care of Ji Hyo yourself. You never let anybody else bother her. Same with Gary. Because you know that Ji Hyo has more interest in him than you." Eun Hye said and if I turned around I bet she would be smiling.

"You don't know what you're talking about." I said, but I felt my face grow hot. What's happening to me? I can't have feelings for Ji Hyo. And even if I did I'm probably the last person that she'd go with because I've been such a jerk to her... .

"And you should get used to me caring about you." Eun Hye continued. "You and I are going to get married soon anyway. The engagement is still on. Your mom... last night we talked over dinner. She told me everything." She answered. "And I don't care if it's just for our companies. I'll have you because that means that Ji Hyo won't be able to be with you if we're together."

I clenched my fists. so that's why my mom didn't come home until late last night. She was discussing my marriage with Eun Hye.

"Jong Kook, maybe we can start over again..." Eun Hye started.

"No, we both know it's not going to work out. If it didn't the first time, the second wouldn't be any different." I said.

Before Eun Hye could say anything, I walked into the boys bathroom and stared at myself in the mirror. What was my mom thinking? I thought she was giving me until after I finished high school. I kicked the wall in frustration and sighed. At that moment, Gary walked inside.

When he saw me, Gary smiled. "Sis you see the scores? We made it."

"Good job." I said, managing a smile. I thought about what Eun Hye said about Gary. It isn't true. I don't like Ji Hyo.

Gary looked at me, confused. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?" I asked.

Gary shrugged, "I don't know."

We both stood there in an awkward silence.

"Well, I guess I'll go first. I have to go congratulate the other students too. Bye." I waved and left the bathroom, leaving Gary there looking clueless.

Fortunately Eun Hye was gone and I spotted Ji Hyo at her locker. "Ji Hyo!"

I walked towards her with my hand up to give her a high five, but she quickly closed her locker and stepped away from me.

"No!" Ji Hyo warned. "Don't come any closer. I made it into top ten, just like I said I would."

I smiled and put my hand down. "I know. I just wanted to tell you good job. I always knew you could make it."

Ji Hyo stared at me with furrowed eyebrows. "Why are you being so nice?"

"Just because." I smiled. "Oh, do you know where Nichkhun and Lizzy are?"

"I think I last saw them in the library." Ji Hyo answered.

"Thank you." I have her a high five and headed upstairs to the library.

-Yoo Jae Suk-

"Those exams were a piece of cake." Kwang Soo sat down in between me and HaHa. "I'm 26 in the whole school."

HaHa looked shocked. "Really?? I'm 57. What about you Jae Suk?"

"Eighteen." I answered. "Did you see Min Hyuk? He couldn't say a word all day because he was so shocked."

"I'm glad they made it." Kwang Soo said. "This school is so much more peaceful now."

"Until next year." HaHa reminded him.

"Not as long as Ji Hyo's around. If Jong Kook bullies the Jai Ho students next year, Ji Hyo will beat the crap out of him." I commented.

Kwang Soo sighed. "Ji Hyo is so awesome. You know when I had that dance battle with her in the beginning of the school year? Afterwards she told me how much she loved my dancing and she even wanted me to be her choreographer...."

"Kwang Soo, don't lie. After your dance battle she ran outside to the courtyard and attacked me." HaHa said sounding embarrassed.

I looked at Kwang Soo with raised eyebrows. "Kwang Soo, do you by any chance... like Ji Hyo?"

Kwang Soo looked at me with a serious expression on his face. "No."

I shrugged. "Looks like it. Anyway, HaHa. How are things going with the Haroro toy store?"

HaHa was about to say something when Jong Kook walked outside holding three bouquets of flowers. When Jong Kook saw us he waved and made his way towards our spot.

"Oh great. Time to get yelled at for nothing." Kwang Soo muttered glaring at Jong Kook.

"Who are those for?" I asked Jong Kook once he was in front of us.

"For you guys!" Jong Kook answered cheerfully and handed each one of us a bouquet. I glanced at HaHa who was looking at the flowers suspiciously.

"By the way Jae Suk. I love that color green on you! You should wear it more often." Jong Kook said, pointing at my plain green shirt.

I glanced and own at my shirt. "Thanks?"

"Anyway, I'm going go tell Teacher Park Jin-Young how much I enjoyed his class this year. "

The minute Jong Kook went inside, Kwang Soo asked, "Is he going through puberty or something? Why is he acting so kind and nice?"

HaHa was still examining the flowers closely. "I wonder if he did something to these before giving them to us..."

"Guys something is wrong with Jong Kook. He usually always complains about how I wear too much green. Now..." I stared at the flowers in confusion. "We should probably tell a teacher."

"Come in."

I awkwardly walked inside the counselors office and closed the door behind me.

"Jae Suk." In Pyo greeted. "How are you doing today?"

I sat down in the chair in front of his desk. "I'm good, but I wanted to ask you about something..."

"Does this concern Kim Jong Kook?" Counselor Cha asked.

"How did you--"

"Teacher Park JY just came in to complain as well. I'm guessing you want me to speak to him?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"Okay."

We sat there in an awkward silence.

"You can leave now." In Pyo gestured towards the door.

I nodded, bowed then quickly left the room. Gosh, was that awkward.
