"That's her?"

I glanced to my left and saw three boys looking at me. I know who they were since they went to my school. TOP, Daesung, and GD. GD quickly looked away when he noticed that I saw them.

I took my ice cream from the person at the stand and walked towards them. "Hi!"

"How could you refuse GD?" DaeSung squished GD's cheeks. "He's handsome."

GD pushed Daesung's hand away. "Stop."

"Sorry. But my mom set me up on a blind date while I already had a boyfriend." I answered.

"You're choosing Gary over GD?" TOP asked in surprise. "Dang. Guess you can't get every girl." Top told GD who looked annoyed.

"It's okay. I never wanted to go out with you anyway." GD said, but he looked upset afterwards. "There are plenty of other girls just as pretty as you."

"You think I'm pretty?" I smiled, blushing a little.

GD looked like he can't believe he just said that. Top and Daesung looked at him with wide eyes.

"Yah, earlier you told us she was the ugliest creature alive!" Daesung said then smiled. "Someone's got a crush."

"I said you're... Aish. Come on guys lets go." GD glanced at me one last time before walking away with his friends.

"What was that about?"

I turned around and saw Jong Kook. "Oh they were just saying how pretty they think I am."

Jong Kook smiled. "Really? Why? GD looked really awkward.

I walked with him through a park. "My mom set up a blind date with GD while I was still dating Gary. I refused him."

"You must really like Gary." Jong Kook said.

I nodded and licked my ice cream. "Yeah. So GD just said there were a bunch of girls as pretty as me. And when I asked him if he thought I was pretty he didn't answer."

Jong Kook laughed. "Well.."

I looked at him. "Do you.. Think I'm pretty?"

"You're so pretty." Jong Kook answered immediately then covered his mouth. "I mean.. I didn't say that."

I can't believe Jong Kook thinks I'm pretty! Why do I feel happy inside though?

"Just... Pretend you never heard that. Okay?" Jong Kook scratched his head then he took my ice cream from me and started eating it.

"Yah!" I tried to grab it from him, but he held it up in the air.

"If you can reach it then you can have it." Jong Kook smiled and watched as I jumped to grab the ice cream.

"JONG KOOK!" I said getting frustrated. "Fine. You can have it. Your mouth touched it so it probably has JongKookitis or something."

Jong Kook laughed. "That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard you say. Did you come up with that yourself?"

I pushed him, but Jong Kook didn't move an inch. "Yah, why do you feel like a boulder?"

"I work out." Jong Kook answered happily.

I rolled my eyes but I couldn't help laughing.

When we got to Jong Kooks house, I saw someone really familiar from school watering the lawn.

"Is that... Chanyeol?" I asked.

Jong Kook looked at him. "Yeah. He has a part time job at my house as a gardener."

"He's a gardener? He's one of the most popular kids in our grades." I said in shock.

"Yah! Chanyeol!" Jong Kook shouted.

Chanyeol looked at us and quickly bowed. "Hello."

Jong Kook walked towards him and I followed. "You missed a spot." Jong Kook pointed to a dry patch of grass.

"Sorry." Chanyeol quickly aimed the water hose on the grass and smiled at us. "Ji Hyo, hi. How are you?"

"Uh... I'm doing good...." I answered. Weird. This was the first time Chanyeol ever talked to me.

"Oh about this.. You probably thought I was the heir to a major company or something, right? Wrong." Chanyeol smiled a little. "My parents are actually poor and I have a bunch of part time jobs to help them pay for the house and everything."

"Oh. sorry to hear about that." I said.

"It's okay. Anyway, it was great talking to you." Chanyeol said.

Jong Kook sighed and went inside the house.

I followed him. "Jong Kook, what are you doing today?"

"I was going to invite Jae Suk, HaHa and Kwang Soo over." He answered.

"I thought they hated you..." I said, remembering what Jae Suk said.

"We made up." Jong Kook went into the kitchen and we bumped into his mom.

Jong Kook's mom looked at us. "Where did you guys go?"

"We went to go get ice cream." Jong Kook answered while filling himself up a cup of water.

"And?" His mom questioned.

Jong Kook glanced at me and looked at his mom. "That's it."

"Jong Kook, I invited Eun Hye to come over tonight for dinner." Jong Kooks mom said.

Jong Kook groaned," But mom! I already invited Jae Suk, HaHa and Kwang Soo."

"They can come as well." Jong Kooks mom said.

"HaHa and Eun Hye loathe each other. They're not gonna want to sit at the same dinner table with each other." Jong Kook told her.

"If HaHa can't deal with it then he doesn't have to come." Jong Kooks mom looked at me. "Your mothers in her room unpacking. It's right down this hallway."

It was obvious that she didn't want me in here while her and Jong Kook talked. I nodded and left the kitchen and went to my moms room.

I closed the door behind me and smiled, "How are you?"

My mom smiled and nodded. "I'm doing fine, thank you. Everything going okay with you?"

I nodded. "Yeah everything's fine. But I don't know if I can stay here for a week."

"Why?" My mom asked.

"I think Jong Kooks mom hates me. She always gives me the same dirty looks that you used to give Gary." I said quietly.

My mom looked embarrassed. "Yah, she doesn't hate you. How are things going with you and Jong Kook?"

"Um... Fine I guess." I asked, confused about why she would ask that.

"Good. I heard his fiancée was coming tonight." My mom said.

"They're not even engaged yet." I said as I walked into the room.

"Really?" My mom smiled. "That's weird."

I nodded. "Yep. Jong Kook's friends are also coming and if it feels a little awkward on the dinner table then it's because one f them hate Eun Hye."

"Ah. Okay, thanks for telling." My mom said then continued un packing.

Eun Hye was here and so felt really awkward sitting around with her, Jong Kook and his mom so I went into the game room with Kwang Soo and HaHa.

ᒍae Suk was in the restroom. i looked at HaHa and Kwang Soo and sighed.

"Hey HaHa... Why do you hate Eun Hye so much?" I asked curiously.

HaHa glanced at Kwang Soo. "There was this girl that I had a crush on during my first year of school. I think she might've liked me to because she always laughed at everything I said and she always wanted to hang out with me. But one day Eun Hye told her that I said she was the ugliest creature ever alive and no guy would ever want to go out with her."

"What?" I asked in shock. "Eun Hye said that?"

HaHa nodded. "And the girl came up to me crying and said she was going to.. Transfer schools. And after that I never saw her again."

I can't believe she actually did that. I looked at Kwang Soo who was watching HaHa sadly. At that moment, Jae Suk walked in.

"She's coming." Jae Suk whispered quickly and sat down beside me.

The door opened again and Eun Hye walked in with a sigh.

"So Ji Hyo... I hear you're staying at Jong Kooks house." Eun Hye looked at me coldly.

I nodded. "Yeah, i have no where else to go and he offered so.."

"Jong Kook offered?" Eun Hye looked surprised. "I thought you two hated each other."

I shrugged. "We're sort of frenemies."

"Well I think you should listen carefully to what I'm about to tell you. Jong Kook Oppa is mine, got it? If you try to do anything with him, you're going to regret it." Eun Hye warned and stomped out of the room.

Jae Suk, HaHa and Kwang Soo looked at me with their mouths wide open.

"What did you do with Jong Kook?" Kwang Soo asked.

"I didn't do anything..." I said just as confused. Why does everyone think something is going on between Me and Jong Kook?

I texted Gary when everybody went to sleep.
