'Etro placed a piece of chaos inside each human giving humanity a "heart," restoring the world balance while Etro held the rest of chaos under her control within Valhalla.'

"(Name)! Wait up!" You heard the familiar sound of Maqui's voice behind you. You paused before entering your cell to see Maqui skid to a stop in front of you, fairly out of breath.

"What's wrong?" You asked the shaken up boy.

"Y-Yuj. There's something seriously up with him. You probably already guessed from earlier, but I wasn't so sure at first. I-I came to you because I couldn't find Gadot or Lebreau." He replied between pants.

"Maqui calm down. I don't know Yuj that well, so you have to tell me, has he been acting violent lately? Or strange? Not like himself." You asked quickly.

"Y-yes! How'd you know!? He hasn't been himself at all."

"Right. Where is he now?" You asked, brushing off his previous question.

"He disappeared when we were gathered around in the mess hall. He probably went back to our cell..." The blonde trailed off.

"Show me." You said suddenly. Maqui's eyes widened at your quick words, and nodded, walking with a fast pace towards the direction of his cell.

"This way."

You matched his pace so you were walking side by side, him being a mere cm taller than you.

"W-what are you gonna do?" He asked nervously, watching the serious intent in your eyes, wondering what was causing it.

"He's possessed." You said bluntly, as if it were the most obvious thing. Upon hearing that, Maqui almost tripped over his own feet.

All of Yuj's actions and personality traits were the mannerisms of a person possessed by a spirit from the chaos. That and the fact that you could just feel it.  Even from the time when Yuj had cornered you against the wall, that look in his eyes was not his own.

"What!? No! That's not possible! It's not even remotely real!" Maqui objected with an almost angry expression. Sighing you knew that he would have to see it to believe it. There was no taking your words back now.

You didn't have to ask how much further to the cell, small dots of blood led to right towards Yuj's location. The air felt heavier as you neared Maqui and Yuj's cell. The thing inside of Maqui's friend was getting stronger.

Once a spirit from the Chaos had forced their host to kill, it granted them more control and power over their host's mind, which just made your job more annoying. Yuj had been the one to kill that man in the mess hall, there was no doubt in your mind about it.

You both slowed your jog to a walk and stopped just behind the wall next to the cell. Peeking from the corner you and Maqui caught a glimpse of Yuj, kneeling on the floor. Maqui gasped with a horrified look on his face and you grimaced at the blood he was tracing around on the floor with. He made strange symbols with the blood from his finger. His blood or his victim's, you weren't too sure.

You glanced around, hoping to Etro no one was around to witness what was about to happen and backed up and looked at Maqui.

Making yourself as clear as possible, you mouthed, 'I NEED YOU TO TIE HIM DOWN.'

"Me!?" He mouthed back with wide unbelieving eyes. You nodded. The look in his eyes was filled with worry and fear. The poor boy, he was still trying to process the whole possession thing.

'You hold him down, I'll tie him up.' You say silently. Biting his lip, the young blonde exhaled silently, and made a prayer to Etro before nodding hesitantly.

Mouthing a 3, 2, 1, Maqui shot into the cell straight at an unsuspecting Yuj. You ran in after, ripping the sheets from the beds to create makeshift ropes.

Tackling Yuj to the floor, Maqui held him down with all his strength.

"I'm Sorry Yuj! But There's Something Wrong With You! And I'm Gonna Help!" Maqui burst out, struggling on the floor with his friend.

"You really think you and that girl can do anything! You fools!" 'Yuj' spat out, a demonic voice lacing around his own.

Racing over to aid Maqui, you grabbed Yuj from behind, securing a tight knot around his arms in an uncomfortable position. He wretched and struggled against the two of you, a blaze of anger in his twisted eyes.

You tied up his ankles, rendering him immobile as he thrashed wildly in his bonds.

"Stand back, Maqui." You ordered as you crouched down in front of Yuj.

The blonde obeyed silently, questioning your actions, curious as to what you would do.

You cupped Yuj's face, his skin surprisingly soft under your touch and looked him dead in the eyes, hold his gaze with your own. Your eyes suddenly turned a blinding gold, as you muttered a few incoherent words causing Yuj to cry out in pain. 'Yuj's' eyes narrowed into slits, anger at a boiling point.

"Death awaits you within these walls!" He hissed, only loud enough for you to hear. His words sent a chill down your spine. What did that mean?

A black smog like substance started leaking from Yuj's eyes, nose and mouth, proof of the being that held his subconscious hostage within him. It shrouded around you, and began to dissipate slowly.

The creature snarled, lurched back and forth against the makeshift bonds. Maqui stared wide eyed, awe stuck and didn't know whether to hold his friend down or stand back as you did your thing, but, just what were you doing? Just how were fixing him?

"Oh My Etro!? Yuj, man! Are you ok?!" Maqui panicked rushing to Yuj's side as his cries stopped finally, in fear for his friend's mental and physical health.

His reply was a pained groan.

You felt the evil aura and presence disappear as you stood from your crouched position, your eyes dimming down to their natural colour.

You watched the inner conflict that raged in Maqui's eyes.

"I-I, I have to bring him to the nurse!" He choked, reaching to untie Yuj. Without warning you grabbed the panicked blonde the shoulders firmly, causing him to blush faintly at your close proximity.

"Maqui, you have to calm yourself down. I know this is a lot to take in all at once and so suddenly, but no one can know about this!" You said in a hushed tone. "No one." You repeated. "He's fine, he is just going to need a little rest is all." You didn't let go until the shocked boy nodded his head stiffly, agreeing to stay quiet about the incident.

Although he was exhausted, Yuj lifted his head slightly, enough to lock his tired eyes with your own as he mouthed a silent 'thank you'. You could see how grateful he was that you had freed him from that spirit from the chaos, a mere convict who deserved no pity or help from you. You offered a small forced smile before leaving Maqui to care for his friend.

The whole event had drained you, and all you wanted to do was sleep. Once you were sure you were out of sight of the two, you sagged against the wall, using it for support.

    "Need a hand?"

You froze at the sudden voice. You glanced up watching as the blonde stepped from the shadows with an indifferent expression on his handsome features. Seifer.

Had he seen all of that? Oh please Etro make it so that that wasn't the case!

Standing up straight, getting yourself together you shook your head in denial when really you felt as if you would drop to the floor any second.

"I'm fine." You lied brushing him off casually, not looking him in the eye.

"Doesn't look like it." he muttered almost to himself.  You glared at him softly.

"Its none of your business anyway. Now if you'll excuse me." You say plainly, taking a step forwards only to stumble, your leg giving way beneath your weight. Had that exorcism really taken that much of a toll on your body?

You braced yourself for the impact with the ground, that never came.

"That's the second time you've fallen for me."

Your eyes shot open to come face to face with a pair of blue ones. You shot a glare at the man who held you in his arms, inches from the floor.

Was this guy seriously charged for murder and rape? He honestly didn't seem like the person who would defile a woman like that. He seemed...almost innocent. You shook your head. No, he was here for a reason, obviously.

"Put. Me. Down." You advised slowly. An amused smirk dragged across his lips as he complied, dropping your limp body to the floor. You fell with a soft grunt, your glare turning into a menacing one.

"Funny." You spat, pulling yourself up from the ground, a task that wasn't too easy for you.

With one last menacing look you turned started to limp in the direction of your cell. You cursed when you heard his footsteps follow behind. What was he doing? Why was he following you?

He wasn't going to make sure you didn't fall again, out of the kindness in his heart.

"I saw what you did in there." You froze on the spot. Seifer crossed his arms with a bored expression on his face. "You're not normal..." He commented.

He was taking what he saw very...calmly.

"And what made you think anyone here is?" You countered, glancing back at the blonde.

A small smile pulled at Seifer's lips, causing you to eye them briefly. "I've been watching you."

"Well there's a comforting thought." You said sarcastically. "Why? Leave me alone."

"I knew there was something...different, the moment I saw you." He mused, turning to leave.

"What do you mean?" You questioned, narrowing your eyes at the man. He smirked at you over his shoulder before walking away.

"Hey!" You shouted after him weakly, as he ignored your question. You fumed, gritting your teeth at him.

I swear, the nerve in these egotistical people! You hissed in your mind. Just great (Name)! Someone saw! You idiot! You mentally groaned at yourself.

"From now on I'm not helping anyone else in this goddamned hellhole!" You mumbled angrily to yourself. By helping others you were only digging your grave deeper and deeper it would seem.

Once returning to your own cell just before the time of lock down, you didn't even glance at Fang as you reached your bed and fell right into it letting your muscles sag in exhaustion and sleep overwhelm you. What a tiresome day it had been, you could only hope that things wouldn't get worse.

Holy Crap! I've just realised that I started this story in 2015! But it feels to me as though I started it yesterday hahaha.

Ok guys be honest. Do you think I jumped in a little too fast with this possession thing? Well at least I'm keeping things within the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts universe, the Chaos is pretty much a hoard of souls/spirits after all (i'm talking about the Chaos in FF XIII, not the boss monster.) -Rikki
