Seeing the lights, I look over to Ariana to make sure we are seeing the same thing.

We both look at each other and realize, they're lights.

We squeal in delight and run to the lights as fast as can.

"Some on sel! We are almost free!" Ariana states and I giggle at her happiness.

Ariana's happiness was everything to me.

More time passes by and we are still running in the forest, watching our step and our faces. Until finally, we make it out and into a place that looks like a town, a huge one at that.

We stay away from the main roads to make sure we don't see the man. We came too far for him to ruin it and take us now.  Ariana is just too happy and that is never going away again, ever.

I quickly look for a less busy road and and slightly pull Ariana that way.

We walk down, what seems to be the hugest hill you should ever encounter in or even near a huge city.

Ariana looks at me and I look her at, both of us with smiles spread across our faces and I don't think hers is going to go anywhere anytime soon.

Carefully, we keep going down the hill, making sure not to fall or go too fast to where we can hurt ourselves.

The city is beautiful but I know for a fact this isn't the town I live in.

"Ariana?"

"Yes?"

"Do you recognize this city?"

"No, i thought maybe you would." She stated at me and started to look a little afraid that we are about to go into a city without knowing anything about it or who is going to be there.

I then hear a gasp to my right and I quickly look to see if Ariana is okay and she is pointing to the sky.

"SEL, SUN. I HAVENT SEEN IT IN FOREVER."

And sure enough, the sun is starting to come up, and some of the streets lights are starting to turn off showing the towns natural beauty and see the dirt around is become actually visible.

"Me either Ariana."

We finally make it to the bottom of the hill. I take her hand and it looks like we are standing on what used to be a dirt road. Knowing we are still kind of far out of town, I smile over in Ariana's direction and we start our journey to the big city.

"Selly. Selly. Selly." Ariana days quickly, happiness evident in her voice making me giggle at how wonderful she is.

"Yes Ari?" I ask her.

"I can't thank you enough, without you I would've been there for the rest of my life. "

Tears threaten to make an appearance on my face, "no no Ariana, thank you. You're the one who tried forever to open that window and you're the one who carried me out of that place. Thank you."

She looks at me in the corner of her eye, tears also threatening to spill for her, "don't ever worry about Selly, i was never going to leave you there to die anyways."

"Ariana i told you this before silly, it's anyway, not anyways." I said slightly scolding her but keeping my joking voice evident so she doesn't get scared or upset.

"Yeah yeah I just don't understand why anyways ain't a word."

"Ain't ain't a word either girly, okay?"

"Yeah yeah."

Still walking to town, I realize something. We are going to need water. The sun had made a full appearance now and it is starting to get hot.

Oh no. Please don't be summer time, we won't last in the heat.

"Selly, im happy we are getting away but I'm tired of walking and running. I have no energy to do all of this for much longer."

"I know Ari. How about we play a question game for a while to get your mind off it? If we aren't in town by the game is finished, then we will find a bush or something to hide so we can sleep okay?"

"No."

"No? Oka-" she cuts me off.

"No i want to play the game but I don't want to sleep, I just want to sit for a little."

"Okay Ari, we can do that. Do you want me to start the game?" I ask kindly, knowing she probably never done this kind of game.

"Ariana, what is your favorite color?"

She ponders on the question, "well It was pink but I haven't seen even a trace of that color for a while so I don't know if it still is."

"Pink is pretty, it is good for you. Now it's your turn to ask me a question."

"Well sel, let's see." She thinks again, " where were you born?"

"I was born in Texas. What about you Ariana?"

She gasps and I instantly turn around to her to make sure she's alright.

"Texas?" She asks

"Yeah, aren't you from Texas too?" I ask and she automatically shakes her head for no.

"Well where are you from Ari?"

"I'm from Florida." She says while gripping my hand a little tighter.

"Oh that's a bit of ways away from me."

"Is it? I'm not that good with my states," she starts, " my turn! What's your favorite color?"

Instantly I answer, "green."

"Green reminds me of grass and grass reminds me of water and water reminds me of rain and rain reminds me of spring so I guess green is cool." She explains, which makes me laugh.

"Me too Ariana, me too. Anyway, it's my turn. When is your birthday?"

" my birthday is June 26, 2001. When is yours Selly?"

"My birthday is July 22, 1998."

"Selly, i all really tired, can we sit down?" Ariana whines.

"Ari, no whining okay? But yes we will, let's find a big bush or something."

"I forgot," she starts, looking down, "i didn't mean to whine."

"Ariana look up, you have to always watch where you're going and it's okay, I'm not mad alright?"

"Okay Selena, oh and there's a bush up there, see?"

"I see Ari, wanna run?" I ask and before she gives an answer, she's running as fast as her little feet can take her and I quickly try to follow her but she's just too fast.

I finally make it to the bush where Ariana is already sitting. "Ariana, don't go to far away from me okay? You have to be close enough to where I can reach you if someone tries to get you okay?"

She nods and closes her eyes, "I needed to lay down for so long and sel?"

"Yes Ariana?" I ask her looking at her.

"I need to use the bathroom, where do I go?"

That question instantly made me remember the toilet paper I had stuck down my so called bra, the only thing I still have of my old life, before I was kidnapped.

I reach into my old shirt that I've been wearing since the first day in the basement and I take out the toilet paper and she gets immediately excited.

"Selly! You brought it! You're so smart."

I giggle and I get up from where I was, pain shooting through my body but I refuse to acknowledge it or let Ariana know I'm in pain.

I reach out my hand for Ariana to take, "come on, let's go find a place for you to for real quick. Then we got to start walking again okay?"

She takes my hand and I gently help her off the dirt and rocks, making sure to wipe off the dirt from mine and her so called shorts.

We quickly try to find a bush, a little farther from the old dirt road so no one sees her use the restroom.

We find a bush and automatically I hand her the toilet paper, turn around and stick my hands out for some kind of privacy.

She giggled at my sudden actions but she uses the bathroom anyway.

She finishes and hands me the roll back and I tuck it back to where it was.

"I found you."
