Saturday came around and I woke up early; not being able to fall asleep again I got up and started getting ready.

When 10 o'clock rolled around I heard a car pulling up in the driveway of my house, which I assumed to be Taemin.

I went outside to him and he stepped out of the car with a smile.

"Morning Jiminie, you look good." He said and I blushed.

"Thanks." I replied shyly.

"So where do you want to go?" He asked once we were both in the car.

"Well it's a nice day today, so why not go to the beach?" I suggested.

"Sounds good." He gave a nod of his head and started the car.

I made sure to turn my phone off so I wouldn't be bothered by any annoying texts from the unknown number. I wanted to have fun today.

Taemin drove us out to the beach and parked the car. We were close enough that we left our shoes in the car and only walked a few metres to the sand.

The sand here was nice and smooth, not too rough and rocky like other beaches. I liked it here. And today it was sunny and nice and warm. It was a good day.

We walked along the beach for a little while just talking when Taemin turned to me.

"Hey, why don't we go in the water?" He tilted his head towards the water lapping at the sand near our feet.

"It's probably too cold." I said.

"Psh, I bet it's not that bad." He scoffed and walked over to wet his feet.

He jumped up and ran out of the water back to me with a shocked look on his face.

"I told you. It's freezing, isn't it?" I raised an eyebrow in amusement.

"Nah, I was just acting, it's not really that bad." He smirked and I sighed.

"You should be an actor." I teased.

"And you should get your feet wet too, we're at the beach after all." He said.

"No thanks, I think I'm good." I shook my head.

"But you can't go to the beach and not get in the water." He pouted.

Taking me completely by surprise, he suddenly picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, carrying me towards the water.

"Hey!" I gently hit his back with a laugh.

He lowered me back onto the ground and I instantly shivered with widened eyes once I processed the icyness of the water on my feet.

"Unless it's this cold, of course." He laughed his head off.

I scowled and flicked water at his legs before running out as quickly as I could without splashing up too much cold ass water.

He followed after me casually, as if the water really wasn't freezing cold at all. He must have already gotten used to it.

"C'mon, it wasn't that bad." He was still laughing at my extra reaction.

"Says the one who did the exact same thing as me like thirty seconds ago." I stuck my bottom lip out stubbornly.

"Okay, you got me there." He chuckled.

"Ooh, let's get ice cream!" I exclaimed as I noticed and pointed to the ice cream stand further up the beach on the footpath.

"So you've frozen your feet and now you wanna freeze your brain too?" He joked.

"Yep." I nodded confidently.

"Okay," he grinned. "Let's go get some ice cream."

My smile widened and we headed over to the ice cream stand. But it was on the pavement and because it was sunny, my feet were burning.

I was hopping on the spot as we waited in line while Taemin seemed unbothered. He looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Tell me what flavour you want and I'll get it, and you can wait on the sand." He suggested.

"Blue heaven!" I said and when he nodded I rushed over to the sand again, feeling the relief in my feet almost instantly.

He came back a couple of minutes later, smiling as he handed me my ice cream.

"Thanks hyung." I beamed.

"Anytime." He smiled back.
