Douze

Taemin drove me back to my place late in the afternoon, and with my phone still turned off I was feeling good about myself.

When I was with others it was so much easier to forget about the unknown number's torments.

"I had a really nice day today, thankyou hyung." I smiled softly. "I think I needed that."

"I'm glad." His eyes lit up.

"To be honest I was kind of nervous," I chuckled. "But I had fun."

"You know I'd been meaning to ask you out for a while now, but I didn't know how to do it." He admitted.

"I guess the cafe was meant to be then." I beamed.

"I guess so." He agreed.

There was a moment of tense silence and I avoided his gaze. Instead I shyly looked out the front of the car.

"Jimin." Taemin spoke up and I nearly jumped but finally turned to face him.

"Yeah?" I asked innocently.

He leaned in closer to me but I remained still, feeling nervous and uncertain. I felt his hand meet my face and his thumb stroked my cheek.

I knew for sure what he was planning to do when he brought his face closer to mine, a deep look in his eyes. I didn't back away and let him come closer.

He gently pressed his lips to mine, kissing me, and I kissed him back. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest; it was my first kiss.

When he pulled away he flashed me a cute smile, and for the first time he looked as shy as me.

"Would you maybe want to go out with me again?" He asked.

I simply nodded in response and his smile widened.

"I gotta go, but we can catch up again soon." I said.

"For sure." He agreed.

I got out of the car and smiled at him before closing the door and walking up to my house.

I waved as he drove off and then turned to my front door to unlock it. I stepped inside and closed the door again, kicking my shoes off before finally looking up.

I dropped the keys and gasped, clasping my hand to my mouth in shock at the sight before me.

On the kitchen bench was a bloody, dead pigeon, and surrounding it where a bunch of polaroid pictures.

Unconsciously, my heavy feet dragged me along and brought me closer to the bench, where I could see the content of the photos.

My heart sank to my stomach as I took in the sight of Taemin and I all over the polaroids; photos of us on our date today. Most of the pictures were blood stained and I realised the stains formed letters.

I lined the pictures up to work out the message, even though my body was screaming at me to run.

I felt my eyes tearing up and I took a weak step backwards as I took in the depth of the message before me...

I WARNED YOU.
