Jadon might be born in 2000 and uses plenty of words that many of his slightly older teammates wouldn't understand, but still, he's nowhere as bad as Jude when he texts him

the boy scrolls through twitter in hopes of defining the word 'rizz' which one of his best mates jude had texted him the other day and he had zero idea of what it meant

as he's on the verge of giving up, he refreshes the search one more time

he sees a tweet with a picture, and begins to read it

Jadon sees that the girl tweeting has mentioned the oldham library, and that it was left in a copy of 'the book thief' and so him being only about 20 minutes away from the oldham library, of course the boy became curious and decide to get up and drive there

he gets into his G wagon and turns the GPS on and searches for 'oldham library' and begins to drive all the way there

it isn't big, it's a small stone building in between two office blocks, filled with shelves and stacked with books and cozy workspaces hidden in between

the young man walks up to the old lady at the main desk

"hello, how can i help you dear?" the old librarian who he identifies as 'Suzan' from her name tag mumbles quietly

"um, do you have a book called 'the book thief'?" he asks

"yes, yes we do, its down shelf 24" she says pointing to one of the signs hanging from the ceiling which marked the aisles of books

"thank you" he utters as he walks himself over to the shelf trying to make no noise with my footsteps as he notices how quiet the place is

he scans the books with his eyes, after which he quickly realises that they were ordered in alphabetical order of the author

he quickly googles 'book thief author' on his brand new iphone, who turns out to be Markus Zusak

he scans for M and there it was right in front of his eyes

the book thief

not expecting much, he opens the book and flips through the pages

however, as he flips through the pages, a small paper falls to the ground

he picks it up and sure enough, its the same note as the one from the tweet

he quickly scoots to the main desk and asks the lady for a pen, to which she hands him one and he fast walks back to the book

he turns the note over and cheekily writes

'wanna be friends then? -j'

Jadon puts the note back in the book, and the book in its same place on the shelf, and he internally prays that whoever it was who put the note there, is going to come back and see the note

he drops the pen back at the main desk and leaves, and he decides that he'd come back in 2 days and check on it

he drives back home, but as he pulls up to his drive way, he recognises his mate Marcus' car just there, and he's in the car

he parks his car and walks over to his and knocks on his window

he brings the window down and looks up from his phone

"oi? what are you doing here?"

"i thought we was going to watch the new love island episode together?"

"oh, OH yeah" he say as the realisation hits him "come in then yeah"

"where were you bro?" he asks Jadon as he gets out his car

"uh, oldham"

"what are you doing all the way in Oldham"

"the library there actually"

"yeah no im not buying it, i don't think ive ever seen you in a library"

"ill explain when we get in" he says as they walk towards his doorway

he unlocks the door and lets them in

"so explain why you were at a library in Oldham, im curious" Marcus asks

"well... i saw this tweet earlier that someone put a note in a book in that library"

"and you being Jadon went and found it"

"yes"

"was it a girl?"

"i think so? i don't think a guy would leave a sweet note in a book"

"you into her?" he asks raising an eyebrow

"heh? marcus i don't know what she looks like"

"well go on, open the tweet, we may as well find out who your drooling over" he laughs

he gives him a bit of a nudge of annoyance, yet he still open twitter just where he'd left it, but to their luck, the tweet had been deleted

"guess we'll never find out" Jadon shrugs
