Party Party Yeah.

After Daehyun bandaged her cut, Daehye managed to take herself to her room. She almost tripped on her way but her brother finally decided to lift her up or else she would've also injured her legs. The bitter taste of alcohol was behind her throat and her eyes stressed whenever she saw something bright.

"Wait, I wanna brush." Daehye stopped when he was about to drop her on the bed and stumbled her way across the washroom. After being done she took off her socks and jumped in the cold covers. "Sleep queen, I hate to see you like this." Daehyun brushed her hair off with his fingers and was about to turn off the lamp by the nightstand when she held his wrist.

"Happy birthday in advance I think I won't be able to wake up at 12." she said with an apologetic tone. "It's fine, just be there with me tomorrow." he caressed her forehead and quietly left.

--

The morning wouldn't have been that great if Daehyun didn't manage to get his hands on the hangover medicine. Turns out that a huge glass of baileys and a busted hand which led to headaches with complimentary feeling of nausea and pain wasn't under health goals.

"So what's the plan for today?" Daehye asked Daehyun, the siblings were currently having their breakfast and were just managing to not start an unprecedented banter. "Mom and Dad are still gonna stay in Daegu though." She continued and played with the milk in her bowl by cackling a spoon against it.

"Yeah so I was thinking that I have to meet my friends in the evening."

"Where exactly?" Daehye kept the spoon down and folded her arms. "In the house."

"Don't tell me it's an open party."

"What- no it's just three of my closest friends coming so no need to worry. And yes, let's go for lunch together." Daehyun introduced the plan as Daehye nodded her head since it was his birthday, well not just that but it had been an eternity since she actually hung out with him.

Throughout the day the replays of yesterday still played in her mind. Though she didn't want to, she couldn't help but think about how Jimin and her shared their first kiss in the club she just walked past from. Myeongdong street was still bustling and people were sharing smiles amongst them.

"Okay so just act clueless for some ten minutes and go to that restaurant and pretend like I don't exist and till that time I'll get your gift." Daehye plastered a smile on her face and looked over her brother who scoffed.

"Do you always have to be this straightforward?" he asked her as he walked off and she quickly ran off to the Balenciaga store. She was just praying that she didn't go bankrupt in order to get Daehyun a gift. In a matter of minutes she was walking towards the restaurant with a bag in her hand and the aroma of food welcomed as the glass door opened.

"Happy birthday bitch, mom dad didn't even plan you yet you are here annoying me. I fucking love you my cutiee-aaah." She back hugged and he smiled over his shoulder and took the bag from her. "I fought with mom to get me this." he flustered a little and tears appeared on the brim of his eyes.

"Wha- you are crying? Are you mad you should jump around bro this almost emptied my account, robbed me off my pocket money and all my part time's money gone with a swipe." he cracked up while wiping his tears

with his sleeve and she smiled at him.

"These are tears of happiness." she was actually forgetting about yesterday when suddenly he asked her something. "D-noons why were you crying last night?" her smile dropped as sudden memories of harsh words getting exchanged came back to the surface.

"It was nothing."

"Lies."

"See Daehyun just don't- i picked this positive energy after many tries just for today leave this topic."

"Okay." he quietly said but in his mind, he was in no mood to drop this topic off.

And just like this with Daehyun shutting himself up and with Daehye ignoring the topic which kinda managed to trigger her brains the day went on. It wasn't until evening when Daehyun was playing video games on the big ass TV screen with his friends and the food was just overflowing nonstop.

"Wah." one of his friends said and turned back, "ah Ara noona." Daehyun stood up and bowed to the older woman as she smiled and handed him a paper bag.

"Happy birthday Daehyun, where's Daehye by the way?" Ara asked and saw Daehye waving at her from the first floor's railing.

"Yo Tae bitch." She teased Ara and  his friends just exchanged quick talks with each other. "Is there a chance to impress Ara noona?" one asked Daehyun from his shoulder and meanwhile he just glared at them.

"Wanna get your ass beaten?"

......

Ara laid down beside Daehye as she just continued to go through her phone. "What's up?"

"Nothing." Daehye locked the phone and kept it on her side, covering herself with the soft duvet. "How did you get hurt?" Ara got overstricken with panic as she saw her sister's hand covered with sash like bandage.

"Nothing it's just-" Daehye stopped mid-sentence because there was no use of framing up a lie in front of her, she was well aware of Daehye's all phases. This wasn't done regularly for some time but now that it happened once in a long duration there was a risk of it happening again.

"I have an idea, I think." Ara whispered and pulled her in her embrace, Daehye's eyes going, Niagara falls immediately, she blacked out and let the tears fall. Did she really like him that much?

'I'm not one of your vases.'

'I don't even have feelings for you.'

His words echoing at the back of her head, her expectations were raised and then they struck an unbelievable low before they went sky high again and now hit rock bottom. Yet again.

"I wanna murder him." she hiccuped as Ara just softly rubbed her back. "I know. But I don't get you guys."

"What do you mean?" Daehye wiped her tears away and looked at her. Of course, how would she get it? Kim Ara has had perfect or an almost perfect relationship for the past nine months now.

"You guys harm each other, and then you keep running back to each other- one says that they don't have feelings, the other wants to kill them half of the time, yet you look at each other like- you're in deep shit called love." Ara's words were bitter, because they were the absolute truth without a doubt.

Why exactly was all of this happening anyways and why the fuck is the stupid narrator narrating this whole thing?

Perhaps they were pushing each other because the past experiences didn't go according to what they planned.

"How would I know?" Daehye acted dumb to her questions. "All I know is that I don't think something is up from his side at least, yes I like Park Jimin as much as i wanna deny it I cannot. But him? No, I was just a card he was using." she shrugged off and deeply sighed. This time even Ara wasn't sure about what she should say.

"Leave it, you know. It's the past now." Daehye tied her hair back.

The room got filled with dense air, the only sound coming from the AC and that also almost inaudible. "Will you accompany me somewhere?" Ara asked Daehye as she swept her head sideways.

"No social gatherings for fucks sake." she glared at her, she was pissed off at her question and her RB face wasn't exactly even preventing from showing.

God, where is the Daehye who has the most beautiful smile? Ara asked herself before clasping her hands. "Bae you can't be in this room."

"I'm not going, what is it even related to?"

"It's a party, BTS is hosting it-" Daehye showed her palm to Ara and signalled her to stop where she was. "Which means that all their rich kpop and industry friends are coming." She said to Ara and she nodded her head yes.

"You know what? You're thinking of me to accompany you when in reality you'll be just latching on to your Taehyung oppa's arm the entire time as you introduce yourself and I'll be left alone with awkward eyes wandering around."

"That indeed has the possibility."  Ara's eyes downcasted and Daehye just scolded her like she did a few minutes ago. "Why so selfish?" she whispered to herself and once again pulled the duvet over head, this time she ignored the fact that maybe she went a little too harsh on someone who left everything at home just to check up on her.

Meanwhile Ara blamed herself when she realized that it wasn't exactly right to have had that question raised. "It's fine, call me if you need anything." she patted her sister's back before quietly dragging herself out of that door.

---

After bidding her sayonaras to Daehyun and Choi imo Daehye decided to go back to her reality. As she opened the door of her large studio house she was greeted by the familiar scent of coffee and fresh books' pages. She was alone for sometime here, university was closed for the rest of the weekend and there were as such no assignments piled up.

No kdramas piled up or no will to start a new novel. She would either watch a series and read a book in less than three days or would take three months to complete them just for the sake of it.

She had time for a moment and time would leave spaces wandering for thoughts.

She didn't want to think because deep down she knew she would rather replay her angsty late teen years or would think about how there was at least no mental turmoil from the past one year, until that decided to change too.

She took out a course book from her book shelf when a polaroid fell. A light smile plastered on her face. It was her and her first proper two sided love smiling right at the camera shutter.

She treasured those memories, she could still at times feel his touch on her lips, or how he would hug her after a full day of practice and give all his weekends to her. She asked the universe whenever she looked at the stars that when everything was so perfect why it took a wild turn out of nowhere in less than twenty four hours.

Do you still think about me the way I do?

Probably not.

Everything changed suddenly, she was gloomy and desperate for a touch but she fought against that at the same time. How at the present time she decided to run away from her feelings for Jimin, until she confirmed that maybe risking your heart won't be that bad.

Turns out it was, Jimin slammed her on a wall twice- first was when he desired and craved for her lips like a wild beast and the second was when he saw someone else in her but at the same time didn't, he slammed her again only to leave a concussion and broken fragile state by spitting cyanide out of the same mouth which sang 'serendipity' and the same mouth which talked so dearly with others- except her and according to his mood.

'You can never be her.' His words echoed at the back of her head and a sad smile crept her face yet again, "guess I cannot and I don't want to be." she sighed in before a phone ring interrupted her.

"Hey ma." she said as she answered the phone call, the flipping of papers clearly audible from the other side.

"Hey I'm sorry I have to get straight to the point, we basically need a favor."

"Go ahead."

"You have to go to one of these lavish industrial business parties, a CBO called...." there was a constant clicking of the pen- "yes, Min Hee-jin. She expected us to see personally but we won't be able to make it till tomorrow-" Daehye interrupted her mid way.

"Wait- it's tomorrow and you're telling me this now? And why don't you send someone from the office, why me?"

"Daehye we're sorry but she expects to see a family member since we're basically buying a big piece of their stock and we have to prove ourselves as trustworthy." her mother had a valid point but god- business party just to convince someone, that was too much of socializing all together.

"Uhm okay just send me the details." she rubbed her temples. "Okay I love you, let's talk when I'm free." before she could say anything the call declined. She sure was busy but Daehye never did any of this, it was more like Daehyun alway went to them because he had this in his blood. Whereas for her- the genes just kicked more in things out of business, be it bio genetics, MUN debates or dressing to her aesthetic.

"Life wasn't meant to suck this much."

Of course it wasn't meant to but if even the richest of people had their problems then you don't have to fight rather just embrace the flaws.

She was mailed in the details of the deal or the agreement and Daehye just went through them once before reaching on to the conclusion of how they were just stats, she had to convince that Hee-jin woman more personally rather than show her how much money the whole Min services earned in the last year.

As she took a bath the doorbell forced her out of the bathroom, she put on the bathrobe and walked as the water dripped off on her way. "Annyeong."

"Oh Choi imo, what brings you here?" she asked at the sudden sight of the bubbly middle aged lady. "Darling sorry to disturb you but this package was sent by your mother and you have to wear this." She took the bag and looked in for the contents.

"Imo please come in, it must've been tiring to come all the way here." she suddenly felt a cold breeze strike her wet body beneath the robe.

"Aniya- i came with the driver. make sure to dress nicely. I'll see you some other time.'' Before Daehye could revolt she received a pat on her head and Choi imo ran down the entrance stairs and sat back in the white sedan.

"Fuck did mom just send me a pair of red soles." her eyes widened, not really giving care a about anything, she started to dry herself and then proceeded to do her makeup according to her outfit. She just decided to stick with golden highlighter and excess of it on her eyes and a nude lipstick with minimal blush.

"Mom are you sure this is a business meeting, cause I thought that i could  finally wear that black suit i got for myself but here you sent me a blood red lace and silk dress which has a v-shape so deep that almost my cleavage is visible and it only touches my mid thigh like what the literal fuck is this?" Daehye hissed through the phone because now she thought she was just being lied to and moreover she had to wear this uncomfortable dress.

"Daehye we have to make sure that you make an impact."

"Sure to make an impact and to have hungry eyes staring at me. Mom for starters let me tell you, I'm good by myself and I like this independent shit I am in, second I'm gonna cover this whole dress with a light calf length black overcoat, see your plan blew now just pray that i don't get this infuriated in front of the CBO."

"Don't disappoint us." Her mom said in a sleepy voice, all this time her daughter was venting and she was just listening. Why? Because she was in the habit of this now. Daehye declined the phone call and smacked her head with the phone repeatedly against her forehead.

"You're the one who disappointed me last minute." she grabbed off a black overcoat as she said and covered herself with it. The disappointment is real when you think that parents did everything out of love but in the end it's just the bitter realization of the fact that it was everything done to make an impact. That also in front of their business rivals.

Rather than getting upset over a small bicker Daehye decided to just calm her nerves down by turning on the music in the car. After a whole hell lot of driving for forty five minutes or around she wasn't surprised at all that it was hosted in a big ass fancy mansion. It must've been so big that someone could've gotten lost in it. It was located in the less visited part of town, even though they wanted to deny the clicking of any camera shutters and as a result even the security was tight.

The waiters were swarming around with wine glasses, the golden chandelier which hung from the room and the curtains' height which looked neverending. "Oh universe." she gaped at the sight and the richness which was literally dipping from the crowd but all stopped at one when she saw someone rushing to get a phone call.

"Lee Taemin." she almost choked on her saliva but before she could even do that she saw the whole TXT fighting over the last glass of champagne left on the waiter's tray- they were not in close proximity but she still heard Soobin almost yell. "I'm the leader and the most handsome of this group so this will clearly come to me."

"Man attained the sheer enlightenment of loving yourself." Daehye's eyes widened at the sight, what the in the flying fuck was even going. She took out her phone from the clutch and was about to dial a number when another thing interrupted her.

"Daehye?" a familiar voice called from behind and she turned her back to see the Kim power couple. "Ara? What the fuck?" she almost cracked up due to the amount of unexpected revelations coming.

"What are you doing here?" Ara walked towards her sister in utter disbelief and dragged Taehyung along with her. "My mom sent me here, she said there are some CEOs swarming around this party but all I see is Kpop idols."

"Yeah this was a party hosted for the Guinness records we held but there are indeed some deals happening, who do you wanna meet?" Taehyung interrupted them and Daehye felt thankful that she wasn't at the wrong place. "Some CBO called Hee-jin." she flipped through the pages of the document she was holding and looked at Taehyung.

"Aahhh her, come I'll take you there." Taehyung held Daehye's arm and before she could even say anything she was being dragged by him to the other part of the mansion. She saw how there were two pairs of royal staircases at the edge of the mansion and how they met at the center of the first floor which proceeded to make a beautiful railing. This property was an art.

Taehyung stopped when he saw the woman in front of them engage in a conversation with Bang si-hyuk as she calmly sipped the wine and how despite being not that young she looked filled with enthusiasm. "Oh my stars that's PD- nim oppar-" Daehye had no hold of her excitement but Taehyung covered her mouth with his gigantic hand.

"Don't lose your senses, calm down and all the best." Taehyung pushed the brunette when the woman was left alone. She cleared her throat and approached her, the clicking of her heels immediately dragged her attention.

"Good evening miss." She bowed a little and received a smile from her. "Good evening too, you are?"

"Im Min Daehye, daughter of Min Jiwon." she smiled back at her and the lady in front now seemed to recognize her. "Oh Jiwon- he called me yesterday saying how won't be able to make it."

"Yes Dad should've sent someone more experienced than me obviously." Daehye scoffed and controlled the urge to just get to the point and just leave this place already.

"I'm not gonna waste your time Min Hee-jin ssi, I don't know much about dealings- honestly my brother is far better at this but I can assure you one thing that Min services won't disappoint you. I could get straight down to facts but I won't, I'll just say that while building this company twenty five years back in the US my parents worked hard and earned trustworthy people on the way."

"Daehye you do realise that there are better companies in the market right?" Hee-jin spoke up and Daehye just nodded her head

We are not that big compared to other companies in the market but we are someone who doesn't fiddle with our work. Moreover, talk is cheap so you can view our progress here." She handed her the file and stared at her.

"Us buying a piece of your stocks is gonna benefit both of us." she continued and for the first time the lady nodded her head. "Daehye, I'm gonna talk to Jiwon on a video call once too but let's just say, more or less you were good." she quietly patted her shoulder, "and yes please get something to drink.'' She walked off and sent a waiter to her.

"Uhm do you have strawberry champagne?"

"I'll be here in a minute maam." she sighed and stood in her high heels typing something on her phone screen. After getting a glass she decided to search for Ara. as she walked while occasionally sipping from the glass she stopped when she came to the other edge of the mansion and Ara and Taehyung were still missing.

"Well, it looks like I have to call her." Daehye turned from the window but saw someone else.

The same pair of eyes were staring at her, the ones she wanted to avoid. He stood in full glory dressed in black attire covered with a blood red jacket coat. For a second without any words they exchanged their glances but suddenly his eyes travelled to her hand and then his. Both covered with white bandages.

She was about to ask what happened but a flashback hit her and then she took a step backwards before just walking off and completely ignored his presence.
