You trembled and your hands felt your cheek, you couldn't control the shaking. You felt tears fall.

Sans pulled away from the hug and held your face in his hands and leaned his forehead against yours. He stared into your eyes wandered from anxiety he muttered a soft "Hey, i'm right here" or "C'mon keep those eyes on me okay".

Your breathing was slowing down and you felt your muscles calm, and your adrenalin fall. Sans smiled and looked relieved "You chilled me to the bone kiddo" His smile was gentle and he looked less anxious "There you go, come back down to earth" He saw the light come back into your eyes and the life return.

"I'm sorry" your voice was gravely and you hugged the skeleton tightly "I'm so sorry". He hushed you quietly and laid you back down on his bed coaxing you back to sleep with soft words.

Long story short the lazy skeleton easily fell asleep but you stayed awake; your arm wrapped around the sternum on the skeleton facing you. You tried to match his slow breath but all you could remember was the way that monster smiled at you, the way he cried.

You felt the arm around your waist move and Sans breathing hitched and he flinched awake, his eyes wide. He snuck his hands up and cupped your cheeks, his eyes seemed to search yours. His face moved to your and he whispered a soft " I believe in you." before kissing you.
