1. C-5 & Clara

"... and since then, when the clock strikes midnight, she travels to the world of nightmares!" Reading these last words Clara closed the book, she was reading for the orphans.

"It's night kids, off to your beds now." She commanded and each one of them followed obediently.

"Clara, what happened next?" A little girl with blue eyes and brown hair asked her. She probably was 7 years pold.

"That's a secret, I'll read it out tomorrow." Clara convinced the girl and carried her to her bed. She laid her there and kissed her forehead.
"Good night Ruby." She whispered in her ears and switched off all the lights. There were 7 kids under her charge. She use to treat each one of them like her own kids. She locked the door of their room and went back to her room. She kept the story book on the table and pour a glass of red wine for herself. She drank it and then took a deep shower.

As the sun rose up the next morning, the wind enjoyed a flip and trap play with the long brown hair, the shining rays of sun tried to peruse through her deep emerald eyes. The weather being brutal decreased it's temperature turning her cheeks cherry red and her nose soft and pink.  She hugged her furry overcoat tightly while walking around the apple orchard. Her rosy lips turned pink with her ears turning red responding to the chilly weather. She had a perfectly toned body and her hight was commendable.

"Clara Lorington?" She heard a manly yet scary voice call her from back. She turned around flipping her hair and said, " Yes?" .

"Father Demelow, wants to see you in his cabin." He said and walked back to the church. Clara recognized him as a clerk who use to work in the church and was closest to Fr. Demelow.

She somehow had an idea what Fr. Demelow wanted to talk to her about. She clichéd her shoulders and gave a sigh.

"May I come in Father?" She asked entering his cabin.

"Yes, please!" He replied in his manly yet strong voice. Fr. Demelow was the priest of St. Stephen's church. He found Clara on the stairs of the church 18 years back while he was returning from a conference. His grey hair and brown eyes were fighting with each other while he was busy reading newspaper. He was tall indeed and fair enough to light up a whole room.

"Clara, I hope you know what I want to talk to you about? " he said as if sighing.

"Yes Father." She replied in a depressed tone.

"Girl you are 18 today and as per the rules of the Church, you are an adult and... and we can't let you stay here anymore. I hope you understand. " he sighed, getting up from his seat. He walked to Clara and kept his hand on her shoulder.

"Perhaps, I don't know why but I feel destiny has long plans for you which you can never win so easily at least not by staying here. You can ask for any help that you need anytime to me or the church. We also want you to come here on Saturdays and take humanity classes for the primary kids. Hope it's okay with you." He added. Clara suddenly turned her face towards him in complete astonishment.
"Don't worry you'll be paid." He said laughing.

Clara gave him a fake smile and walked out of his cabin. She went back to her room and packed her bags. She touched each and every corner of her childhood and then took her bags and walked out. She by mistake dropped her locket inside the room.

She joined a lady in the same town in a flower shop, working there part time. Mrs. Umney was in her mid 40's. She was calm, sweet and also lived a simple life. Her curved body and small height didn't allowed her to peruse her carrier in modeling. She was beautiful, her face had sharp edges and her dark colour gave her an Intense look.

Clara told her about the problem she was facing in searching a house for herself.

"Baby, relax. I'll help you find one." Mrs. Umney assured her. While the ladies were talking a teenage girl may be of eleven, entered the shop. She had cold sarine blue eyes and brown and red hair. Her fair skin tone was shining in the lovely weather.

She gave them both a smile and kept on staring them. She used her hands to express something which Clara wasn't able to understand.

She saw Mrs. Umney getting up from her chair and plucking some carnations with daisy. She made a beautiful bouquet from it.

"Daisy, here are your carnations and daisy!" Mrs. Umney said forwarding the bouquet. Daisy's smile widened on seeing the flowers. She hugged her tight and pecked her cheeks.

After Daisy left Clara looked at Mrs. Umney with a slight afraid look.

"She is Daisy. She is not an orphan, but destiny planned her life as orphan. She is unable to speak, though can listen to whatever we say." Mrs. Umney answered Clara's Un asked questions.

"Poor girl." She sighed.

Days were passing. Clara started to live with Mrs. Umney for few days.
An evening, one of Mrs. Umney's friend adviced Clara to stay in his rented apartment. She happily agreed.

Clara accepted this new life as her fate. For her working in flower shop and teaching kids became a daily routine and now that she had a house of her own, though rented she was more than just happy. She decided to shift to the house as soon as possible.

"Excuse me, where is B-14, Sidhharth Enclave?" She asked a passing by old lady.

"In your grave!" The old lady said scaring her.

Clara was taken aback. She started to avoid the lady but the lady being stubborn followed her.

"Listen to me, listen!" The old lady kept on repeating.

"Don't go there, that place is not safe for you!" She added. Clara stopped at her place and turned back to see that the lady was already gone. She was quiet shocked with this sudden twist in her tale.

"Oh God, please don't let anything ruin my life anymore!" She murmured. She bent down to pickup her bag when she saw a name plate laying on the floor.

"C-5! " she read.
