The sound sounds more closer now. Just as if it's emanating from the air beside my bed.

Sshhh....Sshhhh.....

A lump forms in my throat. I try to gulp it down, but it just won't budge. My heart is racing. Faster than ever. I'm breathing heavily.

Sshhh...Ssh...Sshhhhh....

The sound now comes from behind me. Behind my bed. I think of turning my head back to look at the source of sound. But I fear I might see something which I will never want to see in my life. Like they show in horror movies, you turn around and find a horrific face grinning back at you. Alicia! I scold myself. This is a very wrong time to think about those horror scenes.

Sshhh...Sshhhhhhh....ssShhSshhhh...Shhshhh....

The sound now seems to be circling around the bed. There was no one to be seen. The darkness engulfed my room. My head was throbbing again with pain. The sound seemed to increase in frequency. Where was it coming from?

My heart was beating faster than ever. My limbs seemed to be paralysed. My heavy breaths could be heard over the eerie sound. This couldn't be happening!

I screamed with all my might.
"MOM!"

"DAD!"

"DOCTOR!"

"NURSE"

I screamed with my hands over my ears so that I can't hear the eerie sound. I continue screaming hoping someone nearby will come to rescue me. The screaming helped. It suppressed the strange sound.

I saw my room lit as a doctor switched on the lights. I can see him coming towards me. But I'm trembling with fear. I'm still screaming my lungs out. As if screaming will not allow the petrifying source producing strange noises, to harm me.

The doctor tried to ask what's wrong with me and calm me down. But I just jerk him away, too frightened to calm down.

"What's wrong, tell me ?"
"What happened?", he asks pleadingly.

"w-Weird n-noises", I stammer "t-there ww-was s-someone! weird noises-s"
My voice is shivering with fear.

I suddenly feel a prick of needle in my arm and realise the doctor sedated me. And I cross into oblivion. Atleast I was safe there. No eerie noises. Unaware of my surroundings. Unaware of my problems. Unaware of people around me. Unaware of MYSELF.

Alicia's Mother's POV

Harry and I reach the Red Cross Hospital, exhausted. We went to the home to collect some supplies as Alicia's longer stay at hospital is expected.

I denied to go and asked him go by himself as Alicia needed someone near her to take care of her. But, Harry didn't like the idea . I was worried about Aly the whole time. I called her 'Aly' out of love.

God forbid, if something would have happened to her, I swear, I would have died with her. My eyes were sore and swollen because of crying.I hadn't ever seen her in this situation .She didn't wake up for three whole days. But now that she was well, I was relieved.

But, my relief lasted for only a shorted time. As I reached the hospital, I was greeted by a bad news.

"I don't know what caused her to behave like that. I heard her screaming and immediately went into her room to check upon her. I thought, maybe she was in pain. But, when I reached there, she was quivering with fear, I guess. She couldn't tell what troubled her. I tried to calm her down, but she just won't stop screaming. So, we had to sedate her", explained Dr. Harold.

"How is she now?", I ask. I was just too dumbstruck to say anything. I shouldn't have let her alone in this hospital. I realise I was sobbing. What caused her to scream like that. Oh! My child! Only person in this world whom I loved more than anything ! She is my everything! She is in pain. I was sobbing too hard now.

Harry placed a protective arm around my back. I buried my head in his chest.
"Harry! What happened to her? Will she be fine? I can't lose her! I can't see her in so much pain"
