Y/N's POV

My head hurts.... I slowly open my eyes and yawned. I blink mindlessly and realize I was sleeping on a chair.
No wonder I didn't sleep very well. My eyes wander to the front and there I see, this skeleton looking back at me.

Wait... who is this guy?! Why am I sleeping on a chair again?! He looks at me rather confused. He didn't feel threatening though... he was bandage all over.

"Who are you???" I ask and he suddenly snorted. I look at him with a displease expression.

"You really are forgetful aren't you?" The black skeleton said and I rose a brow.

Realization hits me as I remeber I save this stranger from dying. No wonder I hid him in my secret room! Ah... I don't wanna remember that frog scene anymore. Disgusting...

"Ugh I'm not forgetful! My mind was just a bit fuzzy" I muttered as I lay back on the chair. I don't think I had enough sleep at all.

He started to laugh lightly... ugh he's gonna tease me about this again. I'm not that forgetful! It was just in a split moment because I just woke up. I glare at him because of that stupid grin he is having. I inspect his body and he seems to be doing well. I'm glad I have a spare bed and a small room. My bedroom was rather big and its almost like a small house.

I hid him at my 'not' so secret room. This small room inside my bed room is a spare room. Man.... that sounded kinda complicated. Well, this is where my mini library is and my spare bed. Its not like I would want to sleep with a stranger after all. Anyways... what time is it?! I didn't stay up that late didn't I?

I panicked as I quickly check the clock and it was 9. I sight as I realize that I still have more than half an hour to spare. I look back at the skeleton and notice he was wearing a bored expression. He's not able to walk at the moment and his magic is probably too exhausted.

He's getting very well fast in fact. I can sense that this guy has quick regeneration after all. Does all monster have that?? Who knows. I don't think Asriel or Dreemur family have this kind of thing. Usually, they need to eat in order to heal.

I didn't even give this guy food. Alright, I need to know his name and why the hell is he that injured?! What kind of war did this guys got himself into? Not to mention, how did he end up in my garden?? I slowly stood up and stretched my arms above. I'm ought to go soon. I gaze back at the skeleton who was looking at me intently.

"So what's your name, good sir? How did you get yourself in such mess?" I ask and he look down. He grip on the sheets as he seems to be angry. No kidding though, this guy seems strong. He was emitting negative energy that strong mages like me can sense. Er- I did sound a bit boastful there did I?
Anyways, his aura is so dark and scary. I still had issues if I should trust this person or not. The negative energy that was emitting him soon disappeared as he made a sight.

"Its nothing you should be so concerned of" He said as he pinch his nose in annoyance. I raise a brow, this guy seriously... Getting more mysterious as time goes by.

"Well may I at least know your name?" I ask and he look back at me seemingly hesitating to say his name. Why?? Is is that hard to say your name?

"Its Nightm-... no just Night" He said as he made a sad expression, rather like he pity himself. I don't even know what to do with this guy anymore? He feels so distant and so sad. I close my eyed as I took a deep sight. I gave him a kind smile as I prepare myself to give an introduction.

"Well nice to meet you Night! I'm Y/N. I'm actually kind of curious why you don't know me... Are you perhaps from a foreign place?" I ask. I think my family is quite well known both to human and monsters. Night... however doesn't seem to recognize me.

"Eh... no more like very far away. You won't understand anyway" He said and I start to get annoyed. What is wrong with this guy's rudeness. I sight as I look at his clothes. These clothes...  I've never seen them before. What era did this guy come from?? I haven't ask him how he ended up in my garden but I'm gonna end up late. So I'll talk to him after I comeback.

"Okay... so anyways I'm gonna have to go to my training or else I'll get late. Just stay in this room okay? I don't have anything entertaining or some sort. I do have my favorite books in there! So just read it whenever you feel like it." I said as I point at the big shelves. I have a lot of books in fact, I love reading stories after all. Night nodded as he sight.

"Alright... just go before you get late" He said and I gave him a small smile.

"Okay, see you later!" I said as I turn my back and walk away. I close the door and wave at him before closing it fully. I sight as I made got out of my bedroom. I'm definitely late...

Anyways, I think I'll trust him for now. He doesn't seem like a thief or an assassin. I even left my crown in my room but he's injured so... its okay.

-Timeskip!-

I pant as I almost passed out on the floor. My instructor is sooo mean! I got a bit late, well an hour late and she made me ran 10 laps. She scold me for being unprepared and irresponsible. Its not my fault I woke up late! I had to heal Night for the whole night!

(Nooo its not a pun! Hahaha)

I sight as I sat on a chair. I haven't eaten lunch yet even though it was 3pm. I'm glad our training ends early which means more free time! Well maybe being grounded doesn't seem so bad. This is the only good thing when being grounded.

At least, I don't have to deal with my parents and I don't have to act in front of my relatives. I absolutely hate attending social gatherings but I can't refuse them as always. Its only fun if Frisk and Chara are there.

Its pretty boring without them. I had to fake my smile and pretend to enjoy those noble girls' company. Those people just want friendship because they know I'm next to the throne. Eh... I'm not that easily fooled.

Social gatherings are exhausting and its like a WAR. The battle of wits and insults. You must never lose patience if people get under your skin. Those girls I always encounter, I'd always avoid talking to them. A lot of people raise their hand to slap them but most people are great actors. They act like they are the victim even though its their fault that they piss off people.
Anyways, I don't want to deal with those kind of people.

Either way, the royal family's social status is so high that no one dared to mess with us. Social status is the most important thing in this kingdom. You must never ever mess with those higher than you.

We are always target by assassins. Once, one of the maid poisoned my father but father is immune to poison. My mother is an expert at poison, so she'd knew the antidote either way.
I... I was trained to be immune to poison too. It was horrible of course! A lot of times as a kid, I almost died from that training. That maid was done for, she was.... I don't even wanna think about it.

My thoughts were interrupted when my maids place food in front of the table. Ah yes, its (favorite food) and (favorite drink). I smile, thanking them in the process. My maids stand beside me and they started talking with me. I laugh along with their jokes as I eat my food joyfully.

"So... miss, do you perhaps like someone?" Anna said as the other girls tease me about it. I choke on my food as they started saying names. I don't even like anyone!

"Nooo I don't like anyone." I said as I whine. They laugh as they gave me a cup of water.

"Yeah now that I think about it. You don't seem to bother with any guys wooing over you" Nana said as she raise a brow. I laugh as I drink water before answering.

"I'm just not interested in a thing called "love". Its so complicated! I don't wanna deal with that" I said as I grab a napkin to wipe my lips. They started cleaning and I stood up to walk back into my room and enjoy my afternoon. My maids bid me a goodbye and I smile at them.

Hm... I think I forgot something. Oh! Man... I'm soooo inconsiderate! I didn't even bring Night any food. Ugh.. what do skeletons eat anyway? Do they even eat? Where does the food go? I should really stop thinking about random nonsense.I quickly walk back into the kitchen and my maids look rather confused.

"Do you need something, princess?" Lily ask and I nodded.

"Can you guys bring me food at my room? Any food would do. Also! Make me some tea too." I said and Lily nodded happily.

"Alright, do you want it right now? Princess" Lily ask and I nodded. They made a salute pose and I laugh. I walk away and slowly made my way into the stairs.

My mansion was big but it was only two storey. My maids have their own rooms in he first floor but the 2nd floor was spare rooms. My room is so big that I can have a small house inside. Man... I am spoiled aren't I?

Nightmare's POV

Stupid star sanses, stupid Dream. Everything is so fucking annoying. I groaned as my body still hurts like hell. Dream's arrow stop my regeneration and Ink was the one who injured me the most.

I can't fucking believe those jerks ambush us. Isn't that amazing? They are using the tricks we always do. Simply annoying, I almost died for damn sake. That's how I ended up in this comfty bed and had to deal with someone's kindness.

I sight as my tentacle reach out to another book. I can't deny, that girl saved me though. It was the first time I hesitated killing a damn human. My hatred for humans is unbelievable but I can't believe I spared someone.

I didn't expect that spoiled brat to save me. It... it was the first time a human treated me with kindness, helped me, and well take care of me. Humans in DreamTale are far from that. Now that I think about it, what fucking AU is this?

How did I end up here again? Ah... right. The star sanses ambush as on the AU we were destroying, my members were knocked out and only me and Error was left. The reason we lost was because Ink supposedly got help from other AUs.

There was a lot of AU Sanses in there. I don't even remember their faces but that doesn't even matter. I feel so pathetic, I hope my members are safe. I know Error would bring them back himself.

I almost got myself killed trying to save those idiots. I admit it, I care for my members. I used to see them as a tool but the longer we spend time together... I started to feel like I had friends. Ugh.... what am I so emotional about? I need to heal faster so I can leave this place.

Author's POV

Nightmare was snap out his thoughts when the door suddenly opened. He look back at the girl who went inside the room excitedly. She was holding a tray of food and tea. Y/N smiles at Nightmare before placing it on the small table beside his bed. Nightmare was rather confused as he raise a brow.

Her outfit was rather like a prince? She looks quite tired too. Her hair was braided so it won't bother her during her training. She smiled at him, and he felt weird.

"Nighty! So... how are you feeling?" Y/N said as she sat on a chair beside his bed. Nightmare... felt so weird, its very very weird for him to be treated with such kindness. This girl doesn't seem to have a motive, hell she even brought him in even though he's a stranger. She probably doesn't even know that the threat of the multiverse is laying on her bed. Also... Nightmare squint his eyes from hearing the nickname 'Nighty'. Hell he doesn't like it when his members tease him with nicknames.

"Well..?? Is something bothering you?" Y/N ask as she pout her lips. 'God, she looks so cute'. Nightmare rolled his eyes insistently because he thinks he is losing his damn mind.

"Why....why are you so kind to me" Nightmare ask lowly as he look down and grab the sheets tightly.

Kindness? Generosity? Anthing near that emotion simply disgust him. Despite that, he can't just do something bad to the person that saved him. So he'll do a tiny little favor, he'll spare her, spare this AU, and let this girl live her life. Y/N look back at him, thinking thoroughly about the question. She giggles lightly as she lay back on the chair.

"Well, didn't I tell you that last night? You don't have any reason to help someone. Kindness is free, right? So why not help someone in need. Especially if a certain skeleton was just laying on your garden like that" She joked, and Nightmare felt a small smile forming on his mouth. He felt ridiculous for even smiling about this stupid thing.

"Also... I don't know why but when I saw you. I wanted to help you! Although I didn't even know what you are or where you came from" Y/N mumbled kind of shy. She was mesmerize by the color of his eye, well eye sockets. Nightmare felt his soul throbbing and he wanted it to go away. He despise feeling happy like this.

"Th... " Nightmare muttered and Y/N raise a brow. His voice was rather quiet and he seems to be shy about something. A small blush of embarrassment run through his face as Y/N look at him confused.

"What?? I didn't quite hear what you said." Y/N replied.

"Th... thanks" He mutter and Y/N blink mindlessly. Suddenly, a fit of laughter was heard. Nightmare starts to feel more embarass about this. Why is this girl laughing about him being thankful again?

"Why are you so shy about it? It's pretty cute seeing you get embarass about that" Y/N said after laughing for so long. Nightmare only look down, he doesn't even know if he had said that word "thank you" anymore.

"Alright, you don't have to be so shy with me. I'm gonna ask you a lot of questions but let me just change my outfit. I also brought you foor, er- sorry I don't know what you like to eat" Y/N said as she place the tray on Nightmare. She laugh as Nightmare seems to be confused.

"Here! Its my favorite pie and tea. For now, just eat it. I'll bring you food that is to your liking next time" Y/N said as she stood up from the chair and walk her way into the door. She smile at Nightmare before closing the door shut.

Y/N's POV

I thought it would be awkward and all. He's just a shy skeleton, isn't he?
I...  I feel like I made a new friend. I felt myself smiling as I changed my outfit and undone my braided hair. I brush my (hair color) hair and decided to put it in a bun.

There we go... I think I look great! I wore a comfortable dress and I felt like a simple girl. Ah... its been a long time since I have wore simple outfits. Instead of those frilly and puffy dresses, expensive jewelries, and that heavy crown in my head.

I sight as I heard a knock from the door. I opened it and my maid greeted me. She place a box inside my room and I thanked her. She bow before going out of my room and I look at the box.

I didn't order something or bought something. What is this?? I carefully open the small box and inside was a book. A book?? I also saw a letter place inside. This book was entitled "The Touch of the Sun". Huh weird...
I open the (favorite scent) scented letter and a smile went on my face when I saw who sent it.

I know its our fault you got in trouble again, we are sorry. Me and Frisk decided to give you this book. We know you'll get bored getting stuck inside your mansion. Mom recommended this book to us. She said you'll like it for sure since we know... you like romance and these kind of things so much. But hey! We ain't judging you. Anyways, take care of youself! We will miss you. I smile as I place the letter inside my drawer along with the other letters. These letters are mostly from my admirers and my bestfriends. I sight as I held the book gently. The cover was already pretty and I know this would be a good book.

I took the book and decided to go back to Nightmare. I probably took long, and well I need to talk with him. I don't want anyone finding out he's in my room. People would misinterpret him as a threat. Don't wanna start a war with monters after all.

I open the door and I saw him, reading a book. I smile, he probably ate the food already. He look back at me, and gestured me to come in. I sight as I walk and put my book along with my other books. I wonder what book Night is reading?

I sat on a chair beside him and he close the book, looking back at me.

"So...  what book are you reading?" I ask as he place a book in the table. He lay back comfortably and I felt relax with this kind of atmosphere.

"One of your books I guess." He said and I giggle. Why is he so shy anyways? The question is why am I so comfortable around him?

"Do you like reading books as well?" I ask and he nod. We started a conversation about books and everything went well.

"Oh look at the time? Its almost night time. I guess we did talk a lot huh? I'll call my maid to bring us dinner." I said and he nod. I'm glad he's getting more comfortable with me. I want to get to know him more! Everything about him is so mysterious after all.

I called my maids and I brought Night dinner. It was (another favorite food) and (favorite drink). My maids even ask me why I got 2 set of foods and I told them that I wanted to eat more than usual. Well they don't seem to question my love for food.

"Here! I'll just eat beside you." I said as I put the bed tray on nightmare who was sitting up. I got another tray and put it on the table beside him, well I remove the things before ofcourse.

"Uh... thank you" He said and I started to giggle. I really wanna hear that from him more often.

My training was done and I wanted to ask Night to take a walk with me in my secret garden. I wore a (F/C) jumper dress and a white blouse inside. Does that make sense? Hahaha.

"So can you walk? Even just a bit?" I ask and Night stretched his legs.

"Yeah, I guess I can walk a little" He said and I smiled. He's healing faster than I thought. Its only been 4 days since I found him. We've been getting closer and I feel kind of proud about it. Night is the first monster who became my friend. Well... Asriel? I'm not really close to him like Chara and Frisk.

"Alright, so do you wanna walk with me?" I ask. He seems to be stuck in this little spare bed of mine. I want him to see the outside a little bit. Well, he's still injured but I can always help him with my powers.

Night seems to think about something before agreeing. Ah, I forgot about one little thing. How do I get him out?

"Wait... I don't want anyone finding out. My father would want to kick you out and I don't want that" I said as Nightmare made a small smile.

"No wonder you had to use your magic to go to your room when you save me" He said as he remove the sheets and started to stand. I can't believe this guys is already walking from all of that injuries.

He's also wearing clothes I ordered from my maids. He looks good in those, not gonna lie. He looks like the prince of monsters, well an attractive octopus skeleton prince. I giggle and he raise a brow.

"How are you healing so fast?" I ask and he chuckled.

"I have regeneration magic, Y/N" He said and I nod. Well, he's healing faster than I thought.

"Alright, so what's your plan?" I ask and he blink for a moment.

"You know, I could use our levitation to get us out here. I'm sure no one would see us to my secret garden!" I said and he shook his head in disapproval.

"Its fine, we can get there easily. I don't know where that 'secret' garden of yours but we can go in the forest with my powers." He said and I get confuse. What power is he talking about?

"How?" I ask and he look at me. He seems to laugh a little when he saw my confuse face.

"Magic of course"

"That's exactly what I am asking. What kind of magic?" I ask and he made a grin.

"Well that's easy, Teleportation" He said and I felt his boney hand held my hand. My face starts to heat up from the sudden contact. My mind started to become dizzy.

Oh my head is spinning. I look around and blind mindlessly. Wait- What- How did we end up in the forest again? Oh right. I look at Night who seems to be pretty chill.

He was still holding my hand... I shook my head to stop daydreaming. I can feel myself blushing as my heart started to pound. Since when did I ever felt this kind of feeling? Arghh I'm going crazy.

"Wait... How can you do that?! That magic is forbidden" I said and we started to walk. I know where my secret garden is which is not really a secret. It was in the middle of the forest.

"Well, Really? I think its pretty easy to use." He mumbled with no care. I start to face palm internally.

"Its forbidden for people to learn because without perfect knowledge of time and space. You'll be teleported to god knows where" I said and he laugh lightly. After walking into my small forest, I started to see the path way. Trailing into my rose garden.

I smile as I held his boney hand tightly pulling Night with me. The scent of the roses filled the atmosphere.

"You... own this?" He ask and I nodded excitedly.

"Its beautiful right?" I answered and he nodded in agreement. Night seems to be walking fine and I smiled. I was slightly sad for a moment. A frown went on my face as I thought about something.

Is he gonna leave soon?
