The Proposal
Their clothes and armor lay discarded on the ground by the bed. Din's steady breathing and thumping heartbeat vibrates in Kia's ear as she lays her head on his chest, sticking to him by the sweat from their bodies. Their minds are blissfully quiet as they match each other's breathing in unison. His fingers are still entwined in her hair, her arms and legs still draped on either side of his torso. Each time she shifts on top of him or tries to move, his arms move to grip her tighter, anchoring her down onto his chest as he softly whispers "no."
"Din, I really need to shower," she says softly with a grin. "You can come with me."
"No," he breathes out sleepily. "Stay."
"You keeping me prisoner now?"
"Yes."
A soft laugh escapes her mouth as he watches her jiggle up and down on top of him. He replays her voice in his head over and over again. How she spoke to him in their native tongue. How she called his name as they followed each other into euphoria. She grazes her hands up and down his shoulders, kissing his sweaty chest as she hums a lullaby.
"What's that you're singing?" He asked after several minutes of quietly listening to her humming.
"Just a song a woman in my covert would sing to me when I was a child. Anytime one of us would get injured, she would sing it as a way to soothe us. She was like a mother to me."
"Do you know the words?"
"Oh yes."
"Can you sing it to me?"
"Sure," Kia says as she begins singing in Mando'a.
"You have a beautiful voice," Din says once Kia finished the song.
"Thank you," she smiled as she looks up at him. "You know Din, there's no rule where it says you and I aren't allowed to form our own clan. The Manda'lore needs one."
After spending the past several hours here with her, he hasn't felt this way about another person in his entire life. He wants a family, but he wants her in particular. Although it could just be the remnants of their lust still pumping through his veins.
At the same time he knows they just met, but he couldn't help it. He has fallen for her. She has given him warmth and adoration, and shown him things no one else has. This Mandalorian Jedi who was sent to help him, is naked on top of him after she made him cum, not once, but twice in one night. But she's right, he needs a clan of his own after being excommunicated from The Tribe.
She could tell he was in deep thought, and when he didn't respond right away she says, "You know, you don't have to decide right now. You can always tell me later," she says as she rests her head back down onto his chest. Din responded with a simple 'okay' before closing his eyes.
She didn't need an answer right away. She was perfectly content with the idea that he's at least thinking about it. Being a Jedi Knight was a position of power, and she cared a lot about the well-being of her Mandalorian comrades. Kia imagines a life with Din and Grogu, being a part of a family and raising foundlings, which excites her more than ruling a planet, or even being a member of the New Jedi Order.
Luke will understand, she thinks to herself. But even if he won't, she doesn't care. She is a foundling and she knows a Mandalorian is nothing without a clan. Being with Din felt natural, like it was meant to be. She understands they just met and she shouldn't give in to her emotions so easily, but she couldn't help it. She has fallen for the man named Din Djarin.
Din was quiet for several hours as he thought about her proposal. The sudden change in his life has left his mind racing. Creating a new clan was not part of his plans, yet he cannot view his life without Kia and Grogu by his side. They both have melded themselves into his existence that he is unable to break himself free from them, not that he wants to. It makes sense for him to include her as a member of his clan. Rumors will spread about their scandalous affair and it won't look good for either of them, especially for those Mandalorians who are very strict with old traditions and the code.
For right now, it's only two of them, their bodies twisted together, love and passion fills their minds. There was no hurry, no interruptions, nothing but their warmth and affection as they spend the entire morning together. The logical part of Kia tells her she needs to fulfill her duties, but the emotional part of her simply wants to be with Din and stay concealed in the hotel, far away from the prying eyes of others.

After they take their first shower together and armor up, she notices he is quieter than usual, "How are you feeling, Din?" She asked him as they pack up their belongings.
"Great. Today is a good day. I'm happy for once. I never thought I would ever feel this way. What about you?"
"I'm happy too. I promise to be loyal to you. I'll always be here for you and the kid."
"Good, because I don't like to share. And I promise to be loyal to you and the kid as well," he says back to her in a serious tone as he puts his helmet on. It wasn't a declaration of his decision to join her clan, but it was enough for her to feel quite relieved. His statement and confident demeanor made her feel quite pleased and worry-free.
Din has never felt this confident and satisfied in his life. Almost like he has a skip in his step as they leave the comfort of their hotel room. For the first time since Sorgan, he wouldn't mind retiring from bounty hunting in order to be with her and the baby for the rest of their existence. He hasn't decided whether to join her clan or ask her join his, but one thing he is sure about is how he feels about her.
Even though it was morning, it still looked like night on the space station. Citizens of all types are seen exiting and entering a public transport vessel. It was another busy day as Kia placed her hand on Din's side, signaling him to stop.
"So, where are you off to next?" She asked through the filter of her helmet.
"I have to see someone about a ship," he tells her.
"A ship? You mean you don't have one?"
"No," he says shortly.
"Oh maker! Someone like you taking public transportation..." she says with a light chuckle as she shakes her head. He released a heavy sigh and crossed his arms in frustration. "I would give you a ride, but my X-wing only has one seat."
"I'll be fine," he says roughly as he uncrossed his arms, not looking at her as he returns to his normal stoic behavior.
"So, I'll see you soon?" She asked as she moved to place both her hands on his chest plate.
"Yea," he quickly replied as he wraps his hands around her waist to pull in her close, and lowers his helmet down onto hers. "I'll see you soon."
After several minutes, they step away from one another and look into each other's eyes through their helmets. This was not easy for them to do.
"Have a safe flight, Mando," she says, not wanting to use his real name in public.
"Where are you headed?" He asked.
"Back home," she answered. "Luke is waiting for me."
"Be safe," he says.
"You too," she says as he watches her spin around and disappear into the crowd. Leaving the comfort of his arms was hard, yet she had to do it. And she knows she'll see him again.
