Chapter Three
"Where do you want me to put this?"
Your eyes snapped up at the sound of Jungkook's voice, a smile forming on your face as you watched him eye the lamp that he was currently holding.
After moving past your awkward first meeting, you and the two room mates had hit it off right away.
They told you that their other room mate-Kim Seokjin- was currently in town shopping for groceries and that he would be back soon.
All of you sat around and talked for a few hours, each of you getting to know one another. You had come to learn that Jungkook was a college drop out and that he was working as the caretaker of the house for Mrs. Kim, who, in return, shaved off his part of the rent.
Hoseok worked in the town as a mechanic, fixing up cars and building motors..stuff like that.
From what you had gathered, you could tell that Jungkook was definitely a flirt and a playboy, he hit on you countless times and each time, Hoseok would shut him down by either jabbing him in the ribs or slapping him upside his head.
But you didn't mind his behavior. It may sound terrible, but it felt good to have someone's attention on you. You knew that the flirting was harmless and wouldn't lead to anything, so you didn't mind when he sent you a suggestive wink or entered a dirty joke into the conversation.
Hoseok was a bit more reserved though, and managed to keep the younger boy in line. He had told you that he had also come from California and when you asked why he moved, he told you that he and his parents didn't get along very well.
You felt stupid after that.
However, he reassured you that you weren't crossing any lines and he was completely fine with you asking him questions.
The two young men put you at ease and made the thought of living here a little more bearable. You honestly didn't think that you would be able to enjoy moving here, but the three of you were fast friends, and from what they told you about Seokjin, the two of you would get along as well.
After a few hours, you reluctantly said that you needed to get going, telling them about the numerous boxes you still had to unpack.
To your surprise they actually asked to help you, and you quickly turned the down, not wanting to put them out.
However, they insisted.
You pointed over to one of the corners of the room.
"You can put it right there." You said softly, glancing at your boyfriend, who was still hard at work in the kitchen, not paying you any attention.
You bit your lip.
You had wanted to introduce Hoseok and Jungkook to him, but knowing him, he would just brush them off and you didn't want them to perceive him as rude...even though, in all reality, he was.
You missed the days when you didn't have to be afraid of talking to him. You missed not having to worry about when he would snap or scream at your face...being with him was exhausting.
And you were beginning to grow tired.
Hoseok took notice of your longing gaze, his expression turning sympathetic.
Although, you had never mentioned having any problems with your boyfriend- he believed his name was Jimin- he could tell that you and he weren't on the best of terms...
After all, what kind of boyfriend doesn't ask questions when his girlfriend brings in two, good-looking, male strangers?
"Jungkook," Hoseok whispered out his room mate's name, grasping his attention.
The younger male walked over to him, giving him an odd look.
"What?" He asked.
Hoseok motioned towards the blond-haired man in the kitchen, his brows furrowed.
"What do you think is up with him?"
Jungkook moved his gaze to your boyfriend, his arms crossing over his chest as his eyes did a once over of the man.
"That's her boyfriend?" He asked. "I'm so much hotter than him."
Hoseok nudged him harshly.
"I'm serious." He scolded. "Don't you think something is up with the two of them?"
The red-head, rubbed his now sore arm, his eyes hardening on the brunette.
"First of all: Ouch." He said. "Second of all: It isn't any of our business, so we shouldn't be getting involved."
"You don't- You don't think he's hitting her, do you?" Hoseok questioned.
Jungkook's brows shot up at the suggestion, gaze moving back to the blond.
"I sure hope not." He said. "I'll knock all those teeth out of his mout-"
Jungkook's words caught in his throat as Jimin's eyes suddenly raised from the screen, his dark orbs landing directly onto the two whispering males.
The red-head choked, coughing violently.
Jimin sent him a questioning look before standing to his feet and closing his laptop.
The young men watched at your boyfriend approached you, staring down at your figure as you wiped off the china plates in your hands.
"I'm going to get a shower." He said. "There's a Chinese restaurant down the street, we can call in something for dinner."
You nodded your head in response, not even bothering to look up at him.
Jimin moved his eyes to the two men that stood on the other side of the room, his gaze hardening slightly.
"Who are they?" He asked.
You finally looked up at him.
"They're our neighbors. The blond is Hoseok and the red-head is Jungkook."
The blond frowned as the two sent him a friendly wave.
"Why are they in my house?"
You raised an eyebrow at that, sending him a stern look.
"They're helping me unpack, since you can't be bothered to look away from your stupid laptop." You spat.
Jimin bit back a snarky response, instead giving the men one last glare before making his way up the staircase, towards the bathroom.
You sighed heavily, shoulders slumping as the bathroom door slammed shut, sending an echo throughout the dreary house.
"Sorry about that." You said softly. "He's like that sometimes."
The two men shared a knowing look, before Jungkook finally spoke.
"The Chinese place sucks." He popped.
Your eyes snapped up to him, brows furrowing.
"What-"
"He's right." Hoseok reasoned. "It's really bad."
You frowned in confusion.
"You know," Jungkook dragged. "Our room mate is a really good cook, I'm sure he would love to have you and your boyfriend over for dinner."
A soft smile spread over your face at their words.
"I wouldn't want to put you out-"
"Nonsense!" Hoseok exclaimed. "You're our friend now. We should be able to have you over....think of it as a "Welcome To The Neighborhood" party."
You bit your lip.
"I don't know.." You said. "Jimin may not be willing to go."
"Then let him starve." Jungkook chimed. "I'm really only interested in you being there anyway."
The brunette sent him a warning glare, before moving his eyes back to you.
"We would really love it, if you could come over." He stated. "Seokjin is going to love you."
You couldn't stop the warmth that spread through your heart at their kind words, a smile pulling on your lips.
In all honesty, you would kill for a home-cooked meal. You hated eating take out food, and that seemed to be the only thing you ate for the past month...Besides, these men were both such sweethearts and maybe, if Jimin spent enough time with them, their nice behavior would rub off on him.
"Okay." You said. "We'll be there."
"Great!" Hoseok exclaimed. "I'll make sure Jin makes enough for the two of you."
"Do you need me to bring anything? Drinks? Food?"
Jungkook bit his lip seductively.
"Just bring your fine body and I'll be satisfi-"
Hoseok elbowed him in the gut.
You chuckled at their brotherly behavior.
"Cute."
The three of you continued to laugh and make jokes,
Each one of you completely oblivious to the e/c button eyes that watched your every move.

"Is everything in place, brother?"
The dark-haired man nodded his head slowly, his eyes watching as you laughed alongside the two men in your living room, jealousy beginning to flow through him.
"Yes." He stated. "She didn't like our gift too much, but that doesn't really matter. As long as she doesn't know what the doll is capable of, she shouldn't give us any problem."
"I am beginning to grow impatient." He growled. "Her scent is all around us and it is driving me mad."
The dark-haired man nodded his head in understanding.
"I know, brother. But, we cannot act too swiftly." He stated. "She must want to be here."
An inhumane sound escaped the older man's mouth, his hands tugging on his black locks in frustration.
"I cannot wait much longer for her."
"You will wait your turn." He snapped back. "You forget, that I claimed her first...You and the others are lucky that I give you any chance at all."
The older male fell silent, his head bowing as he stared at the grown silently.
A cocky smile formed over the younger's face at his brother's actions, his dark, dull eyes moving back to watch your form.
"Tonight."
He smirked.
"I'll see you tonight."
A/N,
Eye-wow.
Jungkook is a cutie in this book and if you don't think so then FITE ME!
Just kidding, please don't hurt me, I'm a fragile human being.
I love you guys.
