Chapter Six
"W-Who are you?"
Your voice came out in a breathy whisper as you stared at the man in front of you, your body moving away from his in a mix of fear and uncertainty.
The way he looked at you almost made you go weak in the knees. His black iris' were filled with nothing but love and adoration as they scanned over your features.
"I'm your boyfriend." He stated, smiling sweetly.
You shook your head, taking a small step backwards.
"You're not my boyfriend." You deadpanned. "I know my boyfriend...and you are not him."
The black-haired man chuckled heartily, his smile never faltering.
"I'm your "other" boyfriend." He said, his hand grabbing yours.
You raised your eyebrows, pulling your hand away from his slowly.
"Right.." You dragged. "I'm dreaming, aren't I?"
He tilted his head at your question.
"Do you want this to be a dream?" He asked innocently.
A sad laugh left your lips as you glanced around you, taking in the numerous shades that colored the house you stood in.
"No." You said honestly.
Jimin smiled, his hand reaching out and grabbing yours again, pulling your body closer to his.
"Then this isn't a dream." He hummed. "It's as real as you want it to be."
His voice was sweet and melodic as he spoke to you, black eyes never leaving yours as he slowly wrapped his hands around your waist and suddenly pulled your body into his, an action that caused you to gasp softly.
You couldn't remember the last time Jimin touched you on purpose, let alone held you like this...although it was a small action, it was refreshing to have a feeling of spontaneity.
You could only wish that your Jimin would hold you like this.
You stared up at the man in front of you with widened eyes, e/c clashing onto black as you two gazed at one another.
He moved his face closer to yours, his nose bumping against your own as a contented hum sounded from him.
"I love your eyes." He breathed, bringing his hand up to caress the skin of your cheek. "So beautiful...So perfect."
You sucked in a breath, something about his words sending a shudder throughout your body.
Slowly pulling away from him, you turned your attention to the kitchen, where the sweet aroma had been emitting from.
"What's that smell?" You asked nervously.
Your "boyfriend" sent you a million-dollar smile before turning on his heel and walking into the large kitchen, pulling you along with him.
The scent only got stronger as he pulled you into the dining room, helping you sit down in your chair and taking a seat across from you.
You would be lying if you said that the food in front of you didn't make you want to divulge yourself into the numerous dishes that had been prepared for you. The scent alone was intoxicating, but the way the food looked only made you feel even more hungry.
But you weren't going to eat any of it.
You couldn't explain it, but something about this place was...off.
You knew you were probably just being paranoid, in fact, this was probably all just a dream....but that didn't stop you from feeling worried...
You weren't an idiot. Taking food from a stranger is a big no no...no matter how my that stranger resembled your boyfriend..
Jimin frowned at your lack of response as you stared longingly at the food before you.
"Aren't you hungry?" He asked, placing his hand over yours.
Your eyes snapped up to his, head shaking instantly.
"I had a big dinner before I went to bed." You lied.
The black-haired man nodded slowly in understanding, a pout pulling on his bottom lip.
"I wouldn't have made all of this food if I knew you wouldn't eat it."
You eyed him warily.
"I'm sorry." You said.
His pout disappeared instantly, excitement and happiness filling his black iris' once again as he stood from the table.
"That's okay." he said. "This will give us more time to be together...More time to talk."
You opened your mouth to speak, but your words were cut off as you were pulled from the room, once again.
Jimin's grip was gentle yet firm as he pulled you back up the stairs, into your bedroom.
You furrowed your eyebrows at his behavior, watching as he took his spot on the bed in front of you.
Jimin opened his arms to you, motioning for you to move closer and fall into his embrace.
You bit your lip, glancing around the room nervously.
He chuckled at your reaction.
"Don't be scared." He said softly. "I won't bite....unless you want me to."
Heat spread over your face, bringing a light pink tint with it as you slowly moved closer to the dark reflection of your boyfriend.
Something in your mind was screaming at you not to allow him to hold you...your loyalty to your Jimin pulling at your heart.
But you ignored it, you decided that this was your dream and you were going to enjoy the affection and love while you had the chance.
A sigh of relief left Jimin as you leaned into him, his eyes closing in bliss as your body made contact with his.
He leaned back, taking you with him until both of you were laying down completely on the couch, your legs tangling with his and your head resting on his muscular chest.
Jimin planted a soft kiss to your hair, his fingers intertwining with yours.
"How was your day?" He asked, eyes staring at the ceiling above the two of you.
You sighed heavily, watching as his fingers played with your own.
"Not that great." You answered honestly. "It started off alright...but then it went downhill really quick."
Jimin raised his brows.
"What happened?"
Deciding that it was best not to give out too much information, you shrugged.
"You happened." You stated, a yawn moving past your lips. "Well, the real you, anyway."
He chuckled, moving his eyes to you.
"Oh really?" He asked. "What did I do?"
You sighed heavily, images of your real boyfriend filling your head as his darker self held you.
"Nothing out of the usual, I suppose." You muttered. "You're kind of a dick in the real world."
"Is that so?"
"Yes." You popped. "You have no idea how many times I have wanted to kick you in the throat."
A laugh rumbled through him, clearly he was amused by your words.
"Hey!" You scolded playfully. "I'm sharing my heart and soul here!"
He shook his head, his laughter only growing louder.
You slowly began to chuckle along with him, an unfamiliar feeling of happiness beginning to bloom in your chest as your own laughter began to mix with his.
"I-I'm sorry." Jimin said, his playful tone seeping through his words. "I didn't mean to laugh at your pain."
Your smile slowly faltered at his words, heart plummeting into your stomach as your mind began to take in your situation.
You had forgotten how good it felt to be appreciated-to be loved.
You hated the fact that this was just a dream...you knew that when you woke up, you'd be all alone again. Stuck in a loveless relationship with a man who couldn't stand you.
Moving back home wasn't really an option at the moment either. You cut off all ties with your parents years ago and you never really had any friends before you met Jimin...
You quit your job so the two of you could move here. You gave up on your dream just so you could be dragged across the country by your ungrateful boyfriend...
You wished you could stay in this dream forever.
But, you belonged in the real world...So "dream Jimin" would just have to remain as a happy memory in the back of your mind.
"What are you thinking about?" Your boyfriend's soft voice broke the tense silence.
You shook your head.
"Nothing." You lied.
Jimin didn't miss the sad tone in your voice. He repositioned himself, turning to lay on his side as he held you closer to him.
"I'm not him." He breathed quietly, hand petting your hair. "I won't be angry at you for speaking your mind. If something is bothering you, I want you to tell me. I want to be able to fix it for you."
A sad chuckle left your lips as you buried your face in his chest.
"Don't worry about it." You dodged. "Just hold me."
The black-haired man tightened his hold on you, placing a tender kiss to your hair.
"Okay, baby." He whispered.
"I wish you would still be here when I woke up." You stated sleepily. "I don't think I can face him again."
Jimin sighed deeply.
"Don't worry." He started slowly. "We will see each other again."
You nodded slowly, tiredness suddenly beginning to overtake you.
Your eyelids began to droop as Jimin held you. His skin felt cold against your own, but you didn't mind it. The coolness of his flesh balanced out the warmth of the home that surrounded you.
His scent was sweet, almost overly sweet...like he was trying to mask something else.
Your eyes finally closed, sleep beginning to whisk you away.
Jimin pulled back slightly, his dark eyes scanning over your features as you slept.
"I promise that things will be better here," He started slowly, fingers brushing over your skin.
He placed another kiss to your skin.
"You won't have to deal with that boyfriend of yours for much longer."
A/N,
I AM SO EXCITED
BUT ALSO SCARED
This is not gonna end well.
I love you.
-Max
