Chapter Four

"You must be Y/n."

A large smile covered your features as you took the man's hand, eyes scanning over his handsome features as you nodded.

"That's me." You confirmed. "And you must be Seokjin."

He nodded, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Call me Jin." He winked, moving his eyes to the frowning blond beside you. "And you must be-"

"Jimin." He interrupted coldly, ignoring Jin's attempt to shake his head. "Her boyfriend."

You sighed heavily at his rude actions, mentally wishing you had just left him home.

Jin eyed him for a moment, before stepping aside, giving the two of you room to enter the small apartment.

"Come in." He said. "Dinner is already prepared. I just need to set the table."

You nodded as the two of you stepped inside, watching as Jin walked into the kitchen.

As soon as he was far enough away from you, you sent a hard glare to Jimin.

"Was that really necessary?" You whispered.

He huffed, peeling his coat off his body.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He lied. "I don't see why we couldn't just order in."

You rolled your eyes, deciding to ignore his blatant lie, taking off your own coat and hanging it on the coat rack that was positioned beside the door.

"They were kind enough to invite us over." You scolded. "I know you'd rather be making love to your work, but you need to be on your best behavior and for god's sake, stop being such a dick."

He raised an eyebrow at your remark, his mouth turning downwards in a frown.

"Right." He gritted.

"I'm serious." You stated. "These guys are really nice and I want tonight to go well."

"Why?" He accused. "You don't want me to ruin your chances of sleeping with them?"

You stared at him with an awe'd expression, a cold chuckle leaving your mouth.

"Last time I checked, Jimin.." You whispered coldly. "You were the one who cheated. So back off and start acting like a decent human being."

Your boyfriend watched as you walked away from him, putting a smile on your face as you greeted your new friends.

He frowned, running a hand through his hair as he took a deep breath, following behind you.

"Everything smells so good!" You exclaimed, happily.

"Thank you." Jungkook popped proudly.

Hoseok sent him a disapproving look.

"You didn't even do anything."

The red-head shrugged.

"Way to expose me." He muttered.

You chuckled at their words, smile growing wider.

"So, you guys have been here for a few years, right?" You asked.

Hoseok nodded.

"Yeah. Why?"

You moved your gaze to the ceiling.

"Do you know who lives in the upstairs apartment?" You paused. "Mrs. Kim didn't give me a lot of information about him. She says he likes to keep to himself."

Jungkook hummed.

"That's Min Yoongi." He stated. "He's pretty much a recluse. He's stays in his apartment, writing music on that piano of his. It's actually funny you should mention him. We-"

"Piano?" Jimin's voice chimed in with a scoff. "What a stupid waste of time. He should get a real job."

Hoseok's face paled at your boyfriend's words, his throat clearing.

"I don't think-"

Jimin shook his head.

"If he's wasting all of his time writing music, it's no wonder that he lives in a run down apartment like that. His parents must be so proud of him."

You frowned, brows furrowing.

"Jimin." You scolded. "You should really stop talking."

"Why?" He asked. "It's not like he can hear me."

"Actually, he can."

The look of terror that came over Jimin's face was enough to make you almost burst out in laughter. You wished that you had a camera, you would have saved that look forever.

The silver-haired man behind your boyfriend, shed his coat, hanging it up on the coat rack, before shutting the apartment door, keeping out the cold weather from the outside.

The man before you was only a little bit taller than Jimin, his physique was lean and slightly muscular. His features were sharp and well-defined, the light of the living room shining against his pale skin.

The young man crossed his arms over his chest, eyeing Jimin with a cold expression.

"And I do just fine for myself, thank you." He spat. "I certainly don't need or want your opinion."

Jimin's eyes hardened on the male, his shocked expression morphing into a glare.

"I-"

"Who's hungry?"

You sighed in relief as Jin's voice spoke up, relieving the thick tension in the room with the promise of a hot meal.

Everyone shuffled towards the dining table, each one of you sitting down and eyeing the food before you hungrily.

Your mouth began to water as you took in the numerous dishes in front of you.

You hadn't had a meal like this in a while...and you hadn't eaten all day.

Sweet baby Jesus, you loved food.

You sat down between Jimin and Jungkook, a large smile on your face as you waited eagerly for the signal to begin eating.

Seokjin smiled widely, grabbing a bottle of wine and filling up a glass.

"Thank you all for coming," He began. "I am really glad that the two of you moved in. It gives me an excuse to finally throw a dinner party."

You chuckled at his words.

Jin sent you a sly wink, handing you the full glass of wine.

"We even managed to get Yoongi out of his apartment." He finished.

Everyone laughed, except your boyfriend.

The silver-haired man shrugged his shoulders, beginning to fill his plate with the food in front of him.

"I only came for the food." He deadpanned.

"And because of the hot new neighbor." Jungkook grumbled.

You raised an eyebrow.

Jimin's head snapped up.

Hoseok elbowed Jungkook in the ribs.

"And because of the hot new neighbor." Yoongi confirmed shamelessly, moving his eyes to you.

You blinked in surprise.

Wow. This guy was really blunt.

Seokjin cleared his throat, trying to clear the awkward tension that surrounded the table.

"Well, eat up, everyone. Plenty to go around."

You swallowed hard, tearing your eyes from Yoongi before reaching your hand out to begin to serve yourself.

Jimin swatted your hand away, his own hand grabbing your plate.

Your eyes widened slightly at his actions.

Jimin wordlessly began to fill your plate with food, avoiding some of the things he knew you didn't like and making sure you had enough to eat before he slowly placed your plate in front of you, beginning to serve himself.

You couldn't stop the shocked expression that covered your face.

Why was he suddenly being so nice?

You grabbed your fork, slowly beginning to eat.

To say that it was delicious would be a huge understatement. It practically melted in your mouth. You were pretty sure that this food was the closest thing to Heaven you were going to get.

Your smiled widened as you beamed at the brunette who sat down across from you.

"This is so good!" You exclaimed happily.

Seokjin chuckled at your eagerness, his eyes softening as he watched you enjoy his food.

"I'm glad you like it." He said.

Jungkook hummed contentedly, sending you a wink.

"I taught him all he knows."

You raised an eyebrow in disbelief, the sound of Hoseok snorting catching your attention.

"Yeah right!" The brunette yelled, laughing. "You can barely make popcorn without burning down that house!"

"That was one time!" The red-head retorted.

You couldn't stop yourself from laughing, a genuine smile falling over your features for the first time in a long time...

It felt good not to have to fake being happy.

These guys brought out a side of you that you thought you had lost forever. They made you smile and laugh, things you hadn't been able to do in a long time. You missed it.

"You have a nice smile."

You moved your eyes over to the silver-haired man that sat on the other side of the table, smiling softly at you.

A deep blush began to creep up your neck at his kind words.

"Th-Thank you."

Jimin raised an annoyed eyebrow at your reaction, his jaw clenching in anger.

Your brows furrowed at Jimin suddenly stood to his feet, the legs of the chair scraping against the hard-wood floor loudly.

He looked down at you, clearly unhappy.

"We're going home."

You frown in confusion.

"What?" You breathed. "We just got here."

"I have a lot of work to get done." He spat, extending his hand to you. "Let's go."

You glanced around the table, hating the way that everyone was looking at the two of you.

You could tell they were uncomfortable and that made you feel terrible.

You turned back to Jimin.

"You promised me that you were done with work for the day." You whispered.

He glared at you.

"Something came up." He gritted, glancing at Yoongi. "Get your coat."

You slowly shook your head, leaning away from him.

"If you absolutely must work, then you don't need me around." You stated, waving him off. "You always complain about me distracting you, anyway."

A low growl of anger erupted from Jimin, his hand shooting out and grabbing your upper arm, pulling you from the chair and towards the door.

"Jimin!" You exclaimed angrily.

Jungkook stood up, clearly intent on teaching your boyfriend a lesson, but Hoseok's hand on his shoulder stopped him from doing anything.

"It's not our place." He whispered.

Jungkook clenched his jaw angrily as he watched Jimin grab your coats and drag you out of the small apartment.

You turned, eyes meeting his almost as if you were pleading for help.

He expected you to call out for his help, tell him that you wanted him to take care of your boyfriend....but you never did...You just followed Jimin out the door.

Jin flinched at the loud sound of the door slamming shut.

"Well," He started slowly. "That certainly could have gone better."

A/N,

I'm so excited for what's about to happen. It's not even funny.

Hehe.

I'm thinking about writing a "One-Shot" book. So, if your interested, comment some one-shot requests-or message me, or post on my board. I will do my best to fulfill your wishes. I have actually wanted to do it for a while, but I didn't know how people would react.

Send in requests and I will try to publish the book soon. It honestly depends on how many requests I get as to when it will be published.

Don't be surprised if some of these one-shots turn into full on stories.

I love you.

-Max
