Chapter Five

"What was that!?"

Your voice was stern and angry as you slammed the door of your new home shut, keeping the cold rain out of your house.

Your e/c eyes were hard and unforgiving as you watched your boyfriend shed himself of his coat, throwing over the couch that sat in the middle of the living room.

The nerve that this man had.

He embarrassed you. He literally dragged you away from the only people you could have any sort of friendship with.

You were almost certain that Hoseok, Jungkook and Jin would want nothing to do with you anymore...all because of your insane, controlling boyfriend.

"I told you." He said. "I have to get more work done."

You shook your head, knowing better than that.

You weren't stupid. You knew that Jimin had self-esteem issues. Even when you had just begun to date, he always told you how he didn't feel like he was enough for you, and you would always reassure him, telling him that you loved him and only him and that he was everything you wanted and more.

And at the time, you truly felt that way.

But now...you weren't so sure anymore.

"You're unbelievable, you know that!?" You spat.

He turned to face you, eyes wide with rage.

"Oh, I'm unbelievable!?" He questioned.

You nodded your head, throwing your arms in the air.

"Yes!" You confirmed. "You embarrassed me! You treated me like a child in front of everyone!"

"How do you think I feel!?" He roared, unbuttoning the top buttons of his shirt. "That Yoongi was practically undressing you with his eyes and you didn't do anything about it!"

You scoffed.

"Why should I?" You asked, crossing your arms. "I like to be appreciated once and while, Jimin and since you never have the time to even talk to me, you certainly don't have to time to lecture me about being unfaithful! Not after what you did!"

He laughed coldly, raising his hands in mock surrender.

"Here we go again!" He yelled. "You're never going to let me forget about that, are you?"

You shook your head, sending him a death glare.

"Don't you dare-" Your voice cracked as you pointed an accusing finger at him. "Don't you dare try to make me the bad guy here! I never hurt you that way you hurt me! You ruined my life!"

"Oh god." He sighed heavily. "Don't be so dramatic."

You could barely believe the words that he was saying to you. Sure the two of you had fought plenty of times, but he had never acted like this...he had never been this cruel.

"Wow." You breathed awestruck. "You know what?"

Jimin's brown eyes snapped to your figure, your suddenly soft voice alarming him slightly.

"Y/n-"

"I'm sorry that I make life so hard for you." You stated. "I'm sorry that my pain is inconvenient for you. I'm sorry that me wanting to be with you and rebuild our relationship is annoying to you. I'm sorry that I'm not enough for you."

You raised your hands to your cheeks, wiping away the tears that had already begun to fall because of him.

"You begged me to stay, Jimin." You spoke coldly. "When I found out...You begged me to stay with you. You said that you would change-that you would do better....but you haven't changed at all...Sure, you haven't cheated on me again...but you're still the same man you were all that time ago...and you and I, we're crumbling. We're supposed to be better than this. We're supposed to love each other!"

He clenched his jaw at your words, his hands itching to reach out for you.

"Do you know how long it's been since you've kissed me!?" You cried. "Do you know how much I want you to hold me- To hold my hand!? I would even be satisfied if my skin brushed yours every once in a while!"

You couldn't stop the sob that left your trembling lips as you stared at him.

"I love you!" You yelled. "I love you so much...but I love myself too...and I know that I deserve better than this. I deserve to be with someone who loves me back..and you-You don't love me anymore."

The blond-haired man opened his mouth to speak, to tell you that you were wrong and that he loved you more than anything in this world, that he was too frightened and scared to love you again after what he had done...

But no words came out.

You shook your head, tears dripping from your eyes.

"You keep telling me to get over it." You sniffed. "But, what you don't seem to realize, is that I was willing to move past all of this. The second you said you were sorry, I believed you...but I can't do this by myself Jimin...I can't carry this relationship by myself..."

Your eyes fell from his form, body moving towards the staircase.

"I think it would be best if you slept in the guest room tonight."

Jimin only gave you a curt nod, his eyes never raising to meet yours.

You sighed.

It was like talking to a brick wall.

With a heavy heart, you turned on your heel, walking up the stairs and heading towards your bedroom.

Tonight was going to be lonely.

_______________________________________________________________________________

Warm.

That was the best word to describe how you felt in that moment.

Your body was snuggled underneath the thick duvet that currently covered your small form.

A feeling of contentment and bliss washing over you as you slowly blinked your swollen eyes open, allowing yourself to glance around the room.

The full moon shined through the large window of your room, which meant that you hadn't slept that long, but you felt oddly refreshed and alert...Which was highly unusual for you.

Deciding that you probably wouldn't get anymore sleep, you climbed out of your bed, running a hand over the side of the bed that Jimin usually occupied...

A heavy sigh left your lips as you remembered the fight that the two of you had...

You knew that you probably could have handled it with more maturity, but everything you said was true...you didn't regret anything about it and the fact that Jimin just sat there, silent....that only made you more angry...

He never seemed to fight for anything anymore...He never showed any emotion other than annoyance and boredom and you were beginning to grow tired of it...tired of him.

A sweet smell suddenly filled your nostrils, causing your head to perk up instantly.

Was that...food?

With curiosity fueling you, you grabbed your house coat, tying it around your waist before making your way out of the room and walking down the stairs.

Your brows furrowed in confusion as you looked around the house.

The paint on the walls seemed to be a brighter color than usual, no longer pale and bland. The chandeliers above were no longer covered in dust and cobwebs, instead shining brightly and illuminating the room. No more boxes laid around the house in random spots, causing you to begin to question your sanity.

Did Jimin do this?

Your feet finally met the floor of the first floor, your eyes still scanning over the house with a questioning gaze.

"You're awake?"

Your body tensed at the familiar voice that filled your ear, memories of your argument flashing through your mind.

You hesitantly turned to face him, swallowing hard as your eyes met him.

Your solemn look was instantly morphed into one of utter shock and confusion.

Jimin stood smiling at you, his head tilting to the side cutely.

You furrowed your eyebrows at his appearance.

His once blond hair was now replaced with dark, raven locks, his usual style of a loose button up and blue jeans had now been discarded. His slim, toned body adorned in a black tee shirt and black skinny jeans.

A small, silver necklace hung around his neck, the metal glinting underneath the light of the chandeliers as he stared at you with a loving smile.

His eyes were what caught most of your attention.

The warm brown that you had grown so accustomed to was now gone, his iris' were dark and cold...you feared that if you stared into them for too long, you would fall into the abyss.

Before you had a chance to speak, your body was wrapped up into a tight hug, his arms wrapping around your waist as he buried his face into the crook of your neck affectionately.

You blinked in surprise, his skin oddly cold against your own.

"Welcome home, babygirl." He whispered, placing a kiss to the soft skin of your neck. "I've missed you so much."

You swallowed hard, panic beginning to overtake your body.

Something in your mind was telling you that you should just allow him to hold you and that you should enjoy the affection that you had craved for so long.

But you shoved that thought aside.

You didn't know what was going on, but you assumed it was a dream...but something was telling you that something wasn't right with this picture.

You knew your boyfriend.

You loved your boyfriend.

And the man holding you...

He wasn't your boyfriend.
