Chapter Fifteen

Your eyes were hard and narrow as you stared at the man in front of you, hands folded in your lap as you waited patiently for him to start speaking and explaining himself.

Namjoon stood across from you, hands running through his hair as he occasionally stole glances at you.

You could tell that the thought of spilling the beans to you was making him uncomfortable, but you didn't care. You needed answers and he was the only one who seemed to know anything remotely helpful....

His words constantly rang in your head.

He knew about the Other world....He knew about the Other Jimin.

"Are you going to just stand there all night?" You asked, raising a brow as you crossed your arms.

The black-haired man let out a sigh, golden eyes snapping to your form.

"I'm not sure where to start."

"At the beginning, preferably."

He nodded slowly as he took a seat next to you, gaze moving all around the room.

"I guess this all started about five years ago..." He started slowly, head hanging. "We were all happy-my brothers and I....we lived in our world and you humans lived in yours...Our power was what kept us alive and healthy."

Your brows furrowed at his words.

"Everything was peaceful..."He continued softly, eyes moving to meet yours. "Until you came along."

Your eyes widened slightly at that, heart dropping.

"M-Me?"

He nodded.

"B-But I've never been here before Jimin and I moved from California."

Namjoon frowned, nodding his head.

"You have." He explained. "You just don't remember...because Jimin blocked those memories."

You blinked in surprise.

"W-When was I here?"

"I believe you had just graduated high school and being here, away from your family, was your way of celebrating."

You shook your head.

"But that doesn't make any sense." You stated. "If I was here, wouldn't Jungkook and the others remember me? Wouldn't Taehyung remember me?"

Namjoon's face fell, hand running through his hair.

"Because the Jungkook and the others live in such close proximity of the house...their memories were also blocked...none of them remembered you...As for Taehyung...he's a completely different story.."

"What do you mean?"

Namjoon sighed.

"That is not my secret to tell, Y/n."

You nodded in understanding, curiosity eating away at you.

"When you first came to us, we all took an immediate notice..." Namjoon swallowed as he continued. "You just...smelled so good."

You scooted away from him, body stiff.

"You-You wanted to eat me?"

Namjoon chuckled, brows raising as his tongue darted out to wet his lips.

"Not in the way you're thinking."

A deep blush spread over your cheeks as your mind processed what he had said, heart thumping.

"A-Ah." You cleared your throat.

"We would watch you for hours..." Namjoon continued. "We were all so entranced with you...We all wanted you..But Jimin..."

You swallowed at the name.

"Jimin was absolutely obsessed with you." Namjoon finished.

You remained silent as a creeping feeling of anxiety began to crawl up your body.

"I tried to tell him to let you go..." He stated. "I told him that you wouldn't be happy in our world...I told him that you were better off here...where you belonged."

He huffed, glancing at you.

"But he was relentless." He continued. "I remember one night, you had ordered a pizza and when the delivery man showed up, he flirted with you, making crude remarks about your body...I think that's the moment when Jimin finally snapped."

Your chest heaved as you struggled to process all of this information.

"I'd never seen so much blood." Namjoon whispered. "He tore that man to pieces right in front of you..."

"I-Is that why he wiped my memory?" You asked softly.

He nodded, raven locks falling over his eyes.

"That..and something else."

He paused, hand moving over yours.

"I need you to know that what I am about to tell you will probably shock you." He stated, eyes boring into your own. "I don't want this to change the way you look at me..."

You only nodded.

Namjoon inhaled deeply, his fingers playing with yours.

"You and I..." He started softly... "We were..together."

Your breath hitched in your throat at his confession, blood turning cold as you struggled to process the information.

"I-You-We....What?"

Namjoon chuckled quietly at your surprised state, his hand covering yours.

"You spent the entire summer here.." He said. "My brothers, they were content with watching you, but I...I wanted to get closer...I wanted to actually be with you."

Your hands began to shake as he softly continued.

"You thought I was just a neighbor," He chuckled. "And I went along with it...I didn't care who you thought I was, I only cared about getting you alone and naked...I only cared about bringing you back to my world...forever."

You could feel the color drain from your cheeks as he continued.

"I was so blunt with you," He recalled with a smile. "I told you that I wanted to sleep with you and in return, you slapped me across the face and stormed off."

Your hand covered your mouth. You were tempted to laugh at your typical behavior, but decided that this was neither the time nor place.

"I thought my chances were ruined.." He continued, eyes raising to yours. "But, then you came back outside and gave me a bag of frozen peas for the pain...That was when I realized that you weren't just some thing...you were a person..."

You swallowed.

"What happened next?" You whispered.

He smiled at your question.

"After a lot of convincing, you let me take you on what you call a "date,"" He laughed. "You taught me what bowling was and what flavors of ice cream tasted the best....and after that, we came back to the house, climbed on the roof and watched the stars together..."

You could feel your heart begin to beat faster as he recalled such sweet things, your head beginning to ache.

"You told me about your life and I told you what I could about mine." He sighed. "We talked about your mother and what she did to you...and then I tried to kiss you..."

"And?"

He laughed.

"You didn't let me."

You nodded your head, glancing around the room.

"Sounds about right."

"After that night," He smiled. "I saw you every day...we became closer and closer...until I finally kissed you...and you let me...We spent the rest of the summer together, laughing, crying, holding hands....kissing."

You moved closer subconsciously.

"Then?"

Namjoon frowned.

"Then you had to go back home." He sighed. "And I didn't want you to go...I knew I couldn't follow you to California and I begged you to stay here...but you couldn't and I knew that...So I planned the perfect date for our last night together...I can still remember your smile when you saw the candles and rose petals on the floor of the house....and the dinner I had ordered for us both...."

You couldn't stop yourself from smiling at the thought, wishing that you could remember such a sweet sight.

"That night.." Namjoon swallowed. "When I kissed you for, what I thought was, the last time...all of our emotions merged into one and...."

He paused, eyes locking onto yours.

"You told me it was your first time..." He breathed. "And you were so beautiful."

Your body stiffened at that, eyes widening as your stomach dropped.

"Y-You mean we-we had sex?"

He shook his head.

"It was more than sex, Y/n.." He whispered. "It was pure and emotional...You and I were the only two people in the world...That night was and is the best night of my entire life...."

You swallowed.

"I-I always thought that Jimin was my first..." You said.

Namjoon smiled sadly.

"Sorry to disappoint."

You shook your head slowly, resting your chin on your knees.

"I just...I can't believe that I can't remember any of this..."

Namjoon nodded slowly.

"When I went back to my world that night...Jimin knew what you and I had done..." He gritted. "He was livid...He banished me from my world and swore to kill me if he ever saw me again...when he blocked your memory, he did it to make sure that you come back....but he also did it to make me understand what it's like to love someone...and them not even know you exist."

You were speechless...

His confession was really beginning to make you dizzy...

You had a whole other life here all those years ago, you had been living a lie for five years...You thought that Jimin was your first love, you thought that you spent the summer of your senior year at home...You had no idea that you had been far away being loved and treasured by someone that you never even thought about.

"You're crying."

Your eyes snapped up to Namjoon's, hands gently touching below your eyes.

"I'm sorry." You sniffed. "I'm just...That's why you said you knew me the other night.."

He nodded.

"Yes." He paused. "I want you to know that I don't expect anything from you..."

He moved closer, hands cupping your face as he gently wiped your tears away.

"What we had," He took a breath. "Is something that I will always-always treasure...but, I know that you have another life now...you've moved on from me...even if I haven't moved on from you."

Your bottom lip trembled.

"Y-You lost everything because of me and I-I don't even know you."

Namjoon shook his head, his forehead resting against yours.

"When I found you," He breathed. "You became my everything."

Your body jerked as you tried to contain your tears, emotions beginning to overwhelm you.

Namjoon shushed you quietly, his arms wrapping around you as he pulled you into his chest.

"Listen to me, Y/n." He started. "Jimin has been trying to get you back ever since you walked out that door the first time." He deadpanned. "And now that you're back, the only thing keeping him from taking you back into that world...is your Jimin-the Real Jimin."

"I don't understand." You started softly. "Why is Jimin so important? What kind of power does he have?"

Namjoon let out a breath of air at the question, eyes saddening.

"Jimin is your only link to this world," He answered. "Whenever my brother has you in his clutches, your Jimin is able to pull you back because you and he share or have shared a deep bond."

You frowned.

"Isn't there another way to keep me out of that place?" You asked. "Jimin and I...we-we don't talk much anymore."

Namjoon shook his head.

"I wish that there was." He said. "You have no idea how badly I want him gone...Every time I look at him, I'm reminded of what I don't have and all I can think about is him being with you, hugging you, kissing you, touching you...But even if you did remember me, I'm not from this world...Jimin is."

You bit your lip, thinking about his words.

"Why can't I just leave?"

Namjoon clenched his jaw.

"If you try to leave, Jimin will just block your memory and make sure that, one day, you return to him...then you'll have to go through his hell all over again."

You frowned.

"I went into town with Taehyung. What if I just pretend like I'm going to the store and then never come back?"

Namjoon sighed

"The trip with Taehyung was just Jimin being nice and generous with you." He frowned. "Besides,

"Taehyung isn't as innocent as he seems."

A/N,

BOOM!

Now y'all know why I waited so long to introduce Namjoon into the story.

I hope you enjoyed this.

I love you.

Bye!
