Butterfly Legacy, Chapter 6

Thankfully, the lights come back on but I'm left trembling. "W-what's a Shadowform?" I ask. Tigris replies, "It's a race of shapeshifters who are bent on killing the Aranai, whose favorite form is a shadow." I shudder at the thought. "It's likely been killed now, though." My scalp prickles as my silver hair surges down and hits the floor, piling up until, from my scalp to the ends, it is 30 feet long. "Tigris?" I ask. "Yes?" "Can you help me plait my hair? I'm no good at it in a normal circumstance so with rapid growth silver hair I'll probably be even worse." "Of course, Kalyssa." She grabs a gold hair tie and a brush and pulls it through my silvery hair, probably killing her arms in a single stroke. She continues until my hair is silky smooth and she then takes large strands of it and weaves them together into a simple plait down my back. She pulls the hair tie through it and now I have a twenty foot long silver plait down my back. I'm not even twenty feet tall, so it's longer than I am. She takes gold pins and pulls them through my bangs, accentuating my serene face with the elfen features and blazing gold eyes. "I look so different. I thought I was ugly when I looked human, but now I look so regal." I say. "Well, of course you should look regal, you're the princess!" replies Tigris, all enthusiasm today. I rummage through the wardrobe to find a purple floor length gown with the skirt in mermaid style. It is strapless with ruffles around the collar, with a V-neck. I decide to wear it to whatever my mother happens to plan for me. Speak of the devil. Someone who is obviously my mother walks in, and her eyes fix on me instantly. "Kalyssa?" she says, unable to believe the input her eyes are giving her brain.
