"Hello!"
I bow respectively before the newcomer, who's most definitely older than me.
"Everyone, this is Seokjin, he'll be training as a vocalist," PD-nim says, leaving out the obvious fact that Seokjin will be a visual. I mean, look at the guy. He's definitely a visual.
"I'll leave you to yourselves," PD-nim adds and then leaves Seokjin with us.
"You can call me Jin, if you want," he offers shyly and I smile along with the others — ignoring Yoongi, who only nods.
"I'm Hayoon, nice to meet you!", I now my head once again and the boys follow with their own introductions, Yoongi's falling short, as expected.
"How old are you, if I may ask?", Namjoon asks cautiously, to which Seokjin replies "I'm nineteen."
"Ooh, Yoongi-oppa is nineteen too! Which year were you born?", I ask, even more curious now. I wonder who holds more authority.
"1992," Seokjin says and Hoseok and I grin at each other. 1992 meaning that Seokjin holds authority over Yoongi and Yoongi has to show someone his respect, too. Finally someone within the band who could teach him some manners in some way.
"So Yoongi-oppa comes after you, then there's Hoseok, me, Namjoon, Taehyung and Jungkook," I clarify.
Hoseok had told me shortly after I became part of the group that he didn't want me to call him oppa, since it would make him feel older than he already is, especially since we're born in the same year, so I don't call him that.
"PD-nim told me we're incomplete?", Seokjin says and Namjoon nods "He said we're gonna be a band of eight so I guess one is still left to appear."
"The last one will have to be a vocalist too," Taehyung states and we nod once more, Seokjin adding "I was told we have four rappers."
He takes a look around the room and points at Yoongi, Namjoon, Hoseok and lastly Taehyung "You're the rappers, right?"
Taehyung solely raises his hands as if defeated and says "I wish."
Seokjin'y gaze goes to Jungkook, who only shakes his head.
Finally his eyes land on me and he looks like he's been rendered speechless.
"I'm faster than Namjoon and Hoseok," I shrug with an innocent smile. In response, Hoseok chucks his hat at me, hitting my arm, making me giggle at his childishness.
"This hat is mine now," I put on his hat and stick my tongue out at him, a gesture he returns.
Namjoon sighs "Sometimes I really doubt the fact that the two of you are older than me!"
Hoseok and I shoot him a glance that just screams murder.
"Anyways," Namjoon says loudly, quickly changing the subject, "PD-nim asked me earlier if any of us have ideas for a stage name."
That sends me into thought right away. I remember telling PD-nim on my first day that I already have an idea, but I haven't given it any further thought yet, since I've been quite busy elsewhere.
"I want to be called something with hope!", Hoseok almost yells and I laugh at his bright smile.
From what I've heard from Namjoon, in the past weeks Hoseok has always tried his best to cheer up the others should things go wrong.
"How about just Hope?", Taehyung suggests, to which Hoseok frowns "Just Hope?"
"J-Hope?", I suggest and Hoseok looks at me, in thoughts, before he mumbles the name to himself a couple of times. Then he says "I'll think about it, but it sounds nice."
"What about you?" We turn our attention to the currently two youngest of the group, who both shrug. Taehyung says "I guess I want something short."
"Jungkook sounds good enough," Jungkook says, more to himself.
"I just want something short," Taehyung mumbles.
"We can think of something together," Namjoon smiles and then says "I've been thinking about Rap Monster."
I can't help but snort "You really need to improve your speed for that one."
Namjoon groans and shoves me slightly, making me laugh.
"What about you, noona?", Taehyung asks and I shrug "Honestly, I've been thinking about Yoona maybe?"
"How about Hana?", Yoongi butts in, taking us all by surprise a little.
"Hana?", I ask and he nods slowly "Since you're the only girl, maybe Hana* is a good name."
I think about it for a while, Hoseok and Taehyung already all for it "That's a great name!"
Finally I nod "Yeah, Hana sounds good."
-
"Namjoon just texted me, he said he forgot something at the studio, so he'll be back in a bit," Hoseok says, dangling head-over on my couch.
I sit in my arm chair opposite of him. He came over just now and literally there himself at my couch.
"Why does he constantly forget stuff at the studio?", I ask myself, Hoseok replying with a grin "I remember when he forgot his jacket and we were almost back home. I've never seen him run back faster. Well, it did turn out that his phone was in that jacket."
I laugh at that story and nod slightly to myself "The last time I forgot something was last week on set, when I actually said unnie's line instead of mine."
Hoseok laughs at that, "What happened then?"
"Well, unnie was confused now and the director yelled cut anyways since I messed up," I reply with a big grin.
"I hope we get some behind the scene cuts," Hoseok says and I shake my head "Dear god please no, you do not want to know what kind of stuff happened off camera."
Suddenly his smile turns suggestive and I immediately threw my pillow at him "Don't you dare!"
"Noona, hyung, the food has arrived!", the door bursts open and Taehyung strolls in, grabbing my hands and pulling me out of my chair towards their dorm.
Hoseok follows behind us and suddenly all I see is black.
I frown at that, when I realize that Hoseok had covered my eyes with his hands.
"Okay what is going on and do I need to be scared?", I ask with a nervous chuckle. I feel Hoseok breathe into my neck when he chuckles, sending shivers down my spine.
"No need to worry. We just want to make sure you don't see anything you're not supposed to see. I don't know if Jungkook is decent yet," Taehyung says, making me assume that the maknae just took a shower and ran around their dorm naked.
Okay I did not need my mind to go that far.
We enter their dorm and it smells nothing like the takeout we thought Namjoon would bring home with him.
"Why does it smell like seaweed and...something burned?", I ask with a frown. I can hear Taehyung stifle a giggle and can feel it with Hoseok, his breath stopping and his hands stiffening up slightly.
We enter a room and I hear some shuffling, before Hoseok takes his hands off of my eyes and allows me to catch sight of the dining table - filled with traditional, home made food. I can tell from the smell and from how it's served.
"What is this?", I ask with a frown.
My question is answered when Namjoon enters the room with a small cake and candles burning on top.
How did they find out?
My eyes dart to Hoseok, who just grins innocently, before they start singing.
I can only guess that he heard me on my phone with my brother yesterday.
I can't help the smile that comes onto my face.
"Make a wish!", Taehyung yells while Namjoon holds the cake out for me.
I grin brightly, before blowing out the candles, making the boys cheer.
I wish we will never part ways.
