I got to my house at 6:40 am. Mom was already awake.

"Why are you up so early? Usually Dad is up before you." I said.

"I don't know. Maybe it was because I went to bed early." Mom exclaimed, taking a sip of her coffee.

"Can Miranda come over?" I asked.

"Sure honey." 

I ran upstairs into my room and grabbed my phone. I called Miranda.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hello Vanessa!"

"Hi! Can you come over? I know it's a bit early." I asked.

"Sure, that's okay! Miranda answered. "What time?"

"Is right now a good time?"

"Yep. I'll meet you up your house. Bye!"

"Bye!" I turned off my phone.

I was going to tell Miranda about Jordan and where he is moving. Things like that.

Miranda came over to my house 10 minutes later.

I opened the front door. "Hey Miranda! Let's go into my room. We'll talk about things." I told Miranda.

Miranda nodded and took off her boots. We ran upstairs into my room.

"So about Jordan..." I started.

"Yeah? What about him? You told me he was moving." Miranda exclaimed.

"Yes, he is moving. I helped him put some boxes in the moving car." 

"So, where is he moving?" Miranda asked.

"He's moving far away. You have to drive an hour there." I answered.

"Oh. That is far away."

I nodded. "I'll be back."

"Where are you going?"

"I'm coming back. Don't worry."

I ran downstairs and grabbed 2 cups. I poured water into each cup. I ran upstairs, careful not to spill the water. "Here you go." I said, passing the cup to Miranda.

Miranda took a sip. "Thanks. So, about Jordan. Christmas is coming up and...

Oh! Christmas! I forgot about that. What's should I give Jordan?

"I think you should give Jordan a Christmas present." Miranda finished.

"What kind of present?" I asked her.

"I don't know. Maybe something that he likes. Do you know what he likes?" 

I shook my head. "He'll call me when he gets to his new house. I'll ask him what he likes." 

"Yep." Miranda agreed. "Vanessa, I have to go home and get ready to go to a movie."

"That's okay. We can talk about Jordan on the phone." I said. "Bye."

"Bye." Miranda exclaimed. She left my room. 

I walked downstairs. Miranda was putting on her boots and getting ready to go outside. I walked into the kitchen to see Ashley and a boy. "Uh, Ashley. Can I talk to you?"

"Yeah, sure." Ashley walked over to me. 

I pulled Ashley into the dining room. "What are you doing with that boy?"

"What? He's my boyfriend. His name is Alex."

"What happened to your other boyfriend?" I asked.

"Oh, he wasn't into me that much." Ashley answered.

"Okay." I said.

Ashley went back into the kitchen. She kissed Alex on the cheek. Alex kissed her back.

I wonder what they're going to do. I thought. The thought of it made me gag. But I know me and Jordan kiss sometimes.

I walked upstairs into my room and turned on my phone. I opened the Best Fiends app.
