I looked out the window. Why can't Ashley tell me where we're going? Are we going to an ice cream place? ? I kept wondering.

10 minutes later the car came to a stop. I jerked my head toward the window and saw a lot of people walking around. I looked up at a sign that said: "Lilac Carnival" Why did Ashley bring me to the carnival?

"Come on!" Ashley exclaimed.

I climbed out of the car.

"Is Mom and Dad coming?" I asked.

"Mhm," Ashley mumbled.

Why was Mom and Dad coming to the fair? Were they planning to go to the carnival?

Me and Ashley walked to a little booth.

"How many children and how many adults?" a man asked.

"2 kids. I'm 17 and she's 14." Ashley said.

"OK, $20 please." the man exclaimed.

Ashley handed the man a $20 bill.

"Have fun kids!" the man told us.

Me and Ashley walked toward a building. It looked like an arcade.

"What game do you wanna play?" Ashley asked me as we walked into the building.

"Ashley, why are you being so nice to me?" I asked.

"Cause I want to." "Now let's go play some games!"
