"Why does father look at me with such hatred.?"

(Y/n)'s eyes shot open as his vision came back to normal seeing he was in the hallway still in front of Team Rwby's dorm. The time being 5o'clock in the morning he went to the kitchen and made breakfast for the group of girls.

It didn't take him long to finish but it must not have been what everyone was expecting mostly they have pancakes and waffles but (Y/n) made an actual meal for the team which caught others attention.

Walking into the dorm room he left the food on the table for them as well as premade coffee then left again to the hallway.

Few minutes passed by then the girls woke up to the sight of a good breakfast and coffee made and wonder who did it but there was a note saying "Have a good day Team Rwby" - From (Y/n) Makino

Blake: Well that's sweet of him.

Yang: This food is so good! I wonder who taught him how to cook.

Ruby: This is so much better than chicken and waffles!

Weiss: When did he have the time to do this? I mean it's 6:30 and this looks like it takes 2 hours to make.

Yang: 'I wonder' (Y/n)!

Blake: Yang why would you-

(Y/n): Yes Ms. Xiao Long is everything alright?

Blake: How did you-

(Y/n): Ah yes, you see I was on the other side of the door Ms. Belladonna I'm never too far away. Plus I heard Ms. Xiao long's voice, so stating back to my original question at hand. Is everything alright ma'am?

Yang: It is, the food is absolutely delicious Weiss was just wondering how long it took you to make all of this great food.

She said practically stuffing her face with more food causing (Y/n) to chuckle at her when he realized what he did he quickly changed expressions looking at Weiss.

(Y/n): Sorry, Ms. Schnee it only took me an hour finding everything was a hassle but once it was neatly organized the cooking part was easy.

Weiss: 'His chuckle is oddly...adorable.'

(Y/n): If you don't mind ladies, I'll be waiting outside in the hallway.

He left leaving the team to eat and get ready for the day. He stayed with them only a few paces behind. He didn't interfere it was like he wasn't there unless he was spoken too.

It took a little while to get used to (Y/n)'s presence but like hunters and huntresses they need to adapt. Eventually they got used to him.

Things stayed like this for awhile, however he wouldn't be with team Rwby all the time the more time he's away the more they miss his presence which started to become weird.

One day at lunch team Rwby and Jnpr sat with one another while (Y/n) stood behind them glancing over at a group of guys who seemed rather "indecent" or "dirty" as one would say. But most people refer to them as Cardin and his lap dogs.

Cardin was known for bullying those weaker than him especially Faunus. Velvet was walking by to get to her team and he had the audacity to yank and pull on her ears. Which caused her to yelp in pain he looked like he was trying to rip them off.

Her food dropped to the floor as he laughed

Cardin: See told you boys they were real, and you dropped your food you animal, it would be such a shame if you let it go to waste wouldn't you?

(Y/n)'s veins started forming in his arms as he teeth sharpened and growled. He hates seeing people her bullied especially the Faunus.

Yang: Poor Velvet.

Weiss: He's such an animal.

Pyrrha: Something needs to be done.

Ruby: What do you think (Y/n)?

Ruby: (Y/n)?

The girl turned around to see (Y/n) not in behind her but walking towards Cardin.

(Y/n): Excuse me.

Cardin: Hm? What do you want?

(Y/n): Nothing important just your head.

Cardin: My wha-

Cardin's face was smashed through the table and on the cold marble floor making everyone and everything stop and look.

(Y/n): You owe Ms. Scarlatina an apology you imbecile.

He lifted Cardin's head off the ground making him look at Velvet.

Cardin: S-Screw that.

(Y/n) let go of his head then stomped down on his head causing Cardin to be in immense pain. His lap dogs were going to try and stop him but (Y/n) looked up at them.

(Y/n): Take another step and his skull goes through the ground.

His team definitely didn't move at all.

(Y/n): You think it's okay to pick on Faunus but we're nothing more than human like you and wanted to be treated the same. But of course there's always people like you who never understand. Because your life was handed to you on a silver platter.

(Y/n) grabbed Cardin's by his hair holding him up again making sure he saw Velvet.

(Y/n): You won't go near her, you won't touch her, you won't do as much as look in her direction. If I hear you even looked at her funny.. well you're going to wish I hadn't I'll put it that way.

(Y/n) basically threw Cardin onto another lunch table as his team went to go help him. When they left (Y/n) could be seen helping Velvet by rubbing her ears gently, but his body was shaking from anger.

(Y/n): I do apologize Ms. Scarlatina, for not helping sooner, but it won't happen again I assure you.

Velvet: It's alright, I'm okay but uh-uhmm.. are you okay?

She reached for him but he moved his hand away standing up.

(Y/n): That should do it, apologies again Ms. Scarlatina. If I need to treat it later I will but I must be excused.

(Y/n) left the lunch room with eyes on him good and bad. Team Rwby, Jnpr, and now Velvet a little worried for their butler since he's been an emotionless robot that says ma'am or miss yet makes great food and tea.

Cardin: I'm going to kill that wolf!

Later on that day in Glynda's class matches were going on, (Y/n) stayed far back away from the girls/any teams getting a good look at the students weaknesses and strengths.

Pyrrha's a great fighter but everyone knows that so no one will give her a proper challenge, Nora is a wild card pretty sure she's scares everyone, Jaune lacks discipline and confidence in himself. His form could definitely use some work.

Glynda: Mr. Winchester you will be our last night of the day who you chose?

Cardin: I want to make an example! I want the Faunus girl, the bunny I believe her name was Velvet or whatever.

(Y/n)'s ears perked up as well as his tail, he knew that Cardin was trying to bait him.. it worked.

Glynda: If that's-

"NO!"

All the side chatter stopped as they looked in the direction of where the voice came from.

(Y/n) could be seen walking down to the arena.

(Y/n): I do apologize professor Goodwitch for the intrusion but I refuse for this battle to occur, I will go in Velvets place.

Velvet looked at (Y/n) in shock this is the most emotion he's shown since he's been here.

Goodwitch: As sweet as your intentions could be I-

Cardin: Works for me. I want my payback from earlier!

Glynda: Sigh..

(Y/n) jumped into the arena walking over to team CVFY's spot looking up at Velvet, she was blushing from embarrassment but also from him protecting her from Cardin.

(Y/n): I'll do my best not to disappoint you Ms. Scarlatina.

He bowed

Velvet: Show him who's boss out there.

Coco: We are rooting for you!

He nodded taking off his vest handing it to Velvet. He was left in a buttoned up shirt, dress pants, dress shoes, and gloves.

Cardin stood on the opposite side with a huge smirk on his face holding his mace up with one arm, some students cheered for him.

(Y/n) got in position then unbuttoned his shirt gaining a lot of stares from everyone. Once his shirt was completely off he wrapped the shirt around his waist showing his ripped but bulky upper body.

(Y/n): I'm going to bring him down a peg or two.

Glynda: If you're both ready.

Cardin: BRING IT ON!!!

This caused his team and a few others from the class to cheer him on

Glynda: Begin!

As soon as it started Cardin's charged (Y/n) met him in the middle of the arena dodging a swing from his mace he struck Cardin from his ribs up to his elbow which made him drop the mace.

Cardin: WH-

(Y/n) jumped high enough to basically clear Cardin's head and kicked him across the jaw.

Cardin: Ah- ijawww (My Jaw!)

Coming down (Y/n) kicked the back of Cardin's knees making him fall to his knees.

Without hesitation (Y/n) was able to grab Cardin's mace and hit his lower back sending him out of the ring. However when the mace made contact with his back there was loud crack sound, but (Y/n) didn't care.

Goodwitch: Makino! Ozpin's office now!

(Y/n): Yes ma'am.

(Y/n) left without making any eye contact with his team(s) going straight to Ozpin's office.

Could this be a good thing that he acted off of pure emotion? In his fathers eyes he would've failed but to Ozpin who knows.

Ozpin: Ahh (Y/n), glad to see you've made it safe and sound.

He nodded standing up not saying a word. Ozpin pulled out a folder of injuries dealt to Cardin.

Ozpin: Let's see here, major concussion, broken jaw, fractured ribs, black eye, small fracture to the skull, lower back extremely... EXTREMELY damaged, with extra broken bones. Would you care to explain why one of my students are like this?

(Y/n): Forgive me sir I did what was necessary.

Ozpin: Necessary by almost killing a student someone who should be a comrade?

(Y/n): I don't consider that buffoon a comrade of mine after he yanked on a certain Faunus' ears. A Faunus I'm tasked to watch over. I did my job of defending and protecting her sir. Forgive me when I say this but if you can ignore the goodness of my heart by protecting that girl from him then you're a fool.

Ozpin: I never said you were wrong, his antics did need to be stopped which you did. However next time don't almost kill him to put a message in his head and everyone in the school.

(Y/n) bowed going back to his regular posture.

Ozpin: You are dismissed for now (Y/n), I will contact you if I need anything else.

He left his office as Ozpin sighed a door opened to see Glynda Goodwitch walk out of it with a stern look on her face.

Glynda: That's it? You're just going to let him off with a warning after what he did to that boy!

Ozpin: Take it easy.

Glynda: That boy is a monster-

Ozpin: Glynda. For the love of remnant sit down and observe for once instead of opening your mouth without knowing both sides. Cardin Winchester may be strong but he has no brain, life was handed to him on a silver platter, the boy was spoiled all the way up till he enrolled in Beacon. Mr. Makino on the other hand he's not allowed to show any form of emotion, mother left when he was infant and his father took that out on him. I've kept my eye on the boy for a long time and his actions were justified. The first time he's allowed to act upon his emotions without any consequence and you're here blaming the boy.

Glynda: ....

Ozpin: You are dismissed for the night Professor Goodwitch. This conversation is over.

(Y/n) was seen walking to CVFY's dorm lightly knocking on it.

Coco: It's open.

The infamous Butler walked in seeing the two boys of the team knocked out snoring while Velvet was sleeping quietly.

Coco: You're really kind (Y/n), Velvet appreciates your efforts for sticking up for her. We all wonder why you don't show your emotions more actually. Why is that?

She yawned looking tired barely staying awake. (Y/n) walked over carefully picking her up and placing her down on her bed softly.

(Y/n): That is a discussion for another time Ms. Adel, your flattery never seems to waver to me. This is goodnight for now and I will see you tomorrow in class. Just text my scroll if you need me. Sweet dreams.

(Y/n) left the room turning the lights off and closing the door gently as possible. Not even 20 steps away (Y/n) received a message from Coco saying she misses his presence even though he tried not to he couldn't help but smile softly
