Today, you felt different.

"Good morning Y/n!" Link cheered unusually as he stepped down from the platform where the bed was. You were sitting at table reading a diary you had found at the ruins of an old village. "Oh yeah, I forgot to thank you for taking me to see Naydra the other day! So... Thank you!"

His smile looked oddly bright, even Link must've been feeling different today.

You stayed silent, nodding at him as you kept your eyes pinned to the diary. An odd feeling, like a dark hole inside of you, was eating you up.

"Well anyway, I'm heading out hunting. I figured we might need some other protein instead of mushrooms and eggs." He chuckled as he walked out the doorway, closing the door leaving you alone.

You looked up, making sure he was gone...and then, something took over your body, making you walk over to where the weapons were hanging. The same place you saw that sword with what looked like humans blood. You found yourself reaching out and lifting the heavy piece of iron up.

It was overcast, there was a real gloomy feel to the atmosphere. You could feel the electricity in the air, charging your dull mood today. Why had Link decided to leave you on a day like this? It was as if your personalities had been swapped today...

You felt the cold metal of the blade dig into your thigh as you twisted it a little. A tiny drop of red blood surfacing where the blade was cutting in.

It's too much... I can't take this anymore, waking up each morning and seeing those cuts and bruises I couldn't prevent. I'm worthless, useless, hopeless. Why would Link want to date someone like me? I'd only make him feel worse... I wanted to save him, I wanted to save him so badly... But he's the hero after all, what could I have been thinking to help him? He's the one who helps others.

Why hasn't he saved me though? Why do I feel like this? If he can't save me...
Link can go fucking save himself...
