Readers: Sooo.... What is the main plot again?
Me: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just kidding, guys. I DO have an outline. It is just a very loose one.
Idk why there are so many women in this arc; there just are. I didn't even mean to do that, lol.
Also, yes, this arc is centered around Elyse, as you'll find out shortly. Really didn't want to make an OC just to be a love interest or anything, so she has her own story.
Also apologies in advance. Decided to take a risk. Walking on a tightrope here. You'll see what I mean.

CREEEEE'K
A large steel door was opened to reveal two figures to the black abyss, one large and one small entering from a wall of bright white light.
Pap.. pap.. pap...
Principle Nezu stepped between distorted figures on the ground. His paws tugged at each other behind his back as he stopped in the center of a room full of tethered Nomu corpses.
"...May I ask why you have brought me here of all places?" The rodent questioned, his breath visible as a thin mist in the cold room. The short bushy haired, dark toned detective who had stepped in after him scanned one fallen Nomu after another. Their bodies were slowly eroding away due to some magical force eating at what remained. Freezing them in a dark room seemed to be the only way to slow this process down as much as possible.
"The results are in... Your blood matches with these creatures by a whopping 24%."
"I see..." Nezu looked around himself at all of the fallen monsters, creatures which had disturbed so many innocent lives.
"...Mind telling us where that 24% came from..?"
Nezu sighed and closed his eyes. "..I would wish for you to not have to interrogate me... Perhaps we can talk about this over a nice cup of tea?"
"This isn't an interrogation, sir. You are free to leave whenever you like, but we don't have much time I'm afraid. And if All For One is so insistent in using these things as his pawns, we need to know all we can about them." The dark man stood straight, though young for his position, he clearly was no slacker nor the type to goof around.
The principle sighed.. a second time. "Project Nezuko, an experiment funded by the government to find a way to combat the rising fear of the Quirk Singularity Doomsday Event theory at the time. They sought to force evolution so that the physicality of quirk users would improve for the up-in-coming powerful quirks.
...I was one of many test subjects."
"Project Nezuko? Wasn't she one of the first--"
"--recorded quirk users...? That would be correct. She is also the reason I refuse to believe in that particular doomsday theory... Because her quirk was like none other of its time. Even now, she could easily rank among Japan's top ten heroes.
Nezuko's quirk enabled her to change her physical form to fit whatever situation she was in. Most impressively, she was able to make herself physically strong enough to accomplish impressive feats not even fifty men could handle. There are even myths that she could regrow her own limbs if severed.
But I prefer to stick with the facts... And the facts are that she existed, and that through her blood, those same capabilities could be passed down to others...in the rare chance that her blood didn't kill them first.
I was one of these rare cases who survived her blood infusion. And I was the only one who survived receiving a quirk afterward. I named myself after her as an act of cruel irony..." A moment of silence was given to the mouse and his still, shattered body. "...Whatever blood that remained of hers was gone by the time I broke out. I made sure of it. ..So how can you tell me these are my brothers?"
"More like cousins." The investigator nudged one of the gray skinned monsters with his foot. "Because these guys have a much purer concentration of her quirk than you."
The mouse gasped. "That's impossible!"
"Unfortunately...it isn't." The detective's chin fell, hand rising to pick at the back of his head. "If this Nezuko was able to pass her quirk on through blood, then who's to say it wasn't passed on to her first?
"You're not saying.."
"-I'm saying... there might just be the corpse of a quirk user out there, who was even more powerful than Nezuko. And whoever it may be, All For One's robbed their grave and started using their blood to create the Nomu."
"How is that even possible?? A body from that era would have to be hundreds of years old! It's still considered a miracle that a sample of Nezuko's survived!"
"Don't ask me, man!" Raising his hands defensively, the detective feared the mouse might just pounce. "However.. we do have a potential lead in this case, which is another reason I brought you here." Nezu's ears twitched, staring up at the man with his full attention. "We have reason to believe that a girl we've been tracking has just fallen into the belly of the beast, and we'll need your wide connections and tactful brain to help infiltrate the place. .. Think you can help us out?" The detective knelt down and offered his hand. Nezu grabbed it without hesitation.
"You can count me in~" Nezu's unrivaled blood lust for revenge could not resist being awakened. His little dot eyes squinted, ready and eager to finally take out the source of his past suffering.
----------
The past few weeks had been more than hectic. Ryo's widespread attacks on the top heroes made fear and paranoia ripple down through the ranks until it reached the average citizen. Then, Mob's perfect timing was like a flame to a pan of oil, where those at the bottom were struck first with fear, fear that bubbled up quickly, occasionally jumping out of the pan and causing mayhem.
There was a widespread unease among the general population. No one knew whether they were safe or not. This, sadly, made hero work even harder. For fear that the heroes wouldn't be there to save them, untrained citizens bought dangerous weapons to defend themselves instead.
Gangs sprung up, eager to take advantage of the local fear to grow their territories. Vigilantes sprung up as well. Some good, and some bad. All impossible to keep track of or manage.
Mayhem was the right word indeed. There was just too much to do for the heroes, both big and small.
Elyse was lucky for only losing her quirk for a few days. Some heroes were brutally beaten afterwards by the gangs they chased, forcing them into retirement. Elyse got off easy with this one. She was grateful for that much at least.
But, now that she was back in action, there was just so much to do. So little breaks. She was working on over time, constantly!
Her shoes pelted the wet concrete, each huffy breath shortening as her speed increased.
"Hand it over!! You promised you'd pay up for our services! Do you want to lose your shop or not?!" A store vendor was kicked to the ground. The man's glasses shattered on the sidewalk, his trembling arms shooting above his head.
The rain sprinkled across her visor. Each breath of hers short and concise hisses through her teeth.
"B-business hasn't been as good as usual.. I- I need more time!" Instead, he got a shotgun pointed at him aiming right between the eyes.
"I'm not one to take excuses.. Now hand it over!"
A blur skidded around the nearby corner, the local hero encroaching at insane speeds. Before the men could even react, she dove in, yanking the gun away from the first man, and used the handle of the weapon to knock its owner out.
Now, she cocked the gun and aimed it at the other two. "Put your weapons down.. NOW!!" Both men flinched, but they rose their guns and pointed them at her head. Elyse growled, aiming the gun down on their fallen boss. Immediately, the two dropped their firearms and dropped to their knees with their hands over their heads. As she thought..
Elyse huffed and swat a loose strand of hair out of the way. She touched a device on her ear to call base. "I've got three gang members out here in broad daylight. They appear to be quirkless, though send reinforcements just in case."
""Alright.""
BOOM!
The woman groaned, though was too preoccupied to dare turn her head. Sounded like a large explosion down the next street. Perhaps one of those new weapons even.
Elyse cuffed the boss of the three first, then moved on to the others. Too bad she had to do all of this by herself, though. She was pretty used to having at least one sidekick at her side, however thanks to the chaos, everyone's had to split up in order to cover more ground.
"You know how to use a gun, right?" The woman was panting still when she finished thing all three of them up, locking their wrists together so it would be even harder for them to escape. The store keeper shook his head, a little worried by the question. "Well then, I'll teach ya." She kicked all their guns further away and picked up a simple pistol. "Ya pull this bit to reload the ammo, then hold it like this... Make sure it's facing down in case of an accident." She helped the man, instructing him while moving his hands into all the right positions. "Alright, that looks good enough... Okay, now you bozos better stay put, 'less this man'll put a couple holes in your head! Got it?!" The store keeper's eyes widened, his body trembling at the idea. Elyse just pat him on the shoulder and mouthed a simple thanks.
In a hurry, she raced in the direction where she had heard that explosion.
----------
After dealing with that villain attack gone bad, Elyse was relieved to hear the gang members from earlier had been apprehended. A sigh of relief... She really took a risk with that one.
The stormy skies were clearing away as Elyse stood around the rubble one of the untrained citizens had caused trying to defend his shop. She held onto a stone cold expression as some of the gathering people jeered her for being too slow. She was used to backlash, but to this extent, it was pretty new at least.
After she captured the villains and made sure the injured were in the safe hands of an emergency medical team, her hazy eyes scanned over the crowd of angry faces.
...Strange... She didn't feel anything.
Beeep-
"Hello?" Elyse held the button to her ear piece.
""Queller, there's somebody here to see you about a mission.""
"Hhh, tell 'em it'll be a while. Got a pretty big mess on my hands right now."
""Some of the top heroes are getting involved."" Elyse's mouth slipped open. ""...Sounds like it's a pretty big case.""
...
"I'll be there in a minute."
----------
That same evening. After dusk.
"I trust you read the reports already." The officer walking alongside Elyse side eyed the hero as the two turned a corner into an alleyway.
The woman in her hero outfit folded her hands behind her neck and sighed. She stared up the tall walls encompassing them with a bitter look on her face. Dang, she didn't get enough sleep for this... "Wasn't much... Surprised you guys are calling me in, since it sounds like a pretty big case."
"Well you know already how short we are on heroes as a while. And, from our record it sounds like you already have experience infiltrating bases like this one."
"Got that right.." Funny to think she was dressed as a moose last time.
Elyse was led through a door into a hidden waiting room. Even inside the building, it was a little dark. Someone already inside jumped to her feet. It was the now #5 hero Mirko! Her grin broadened when she saw the new recruit enter.
"You must be Queller, right?"
"Mirko?! You're joining us??" She knew this was big, but not THIS big!
"You bet! We're gunna be partners in this one, so mane sure to watch my back, alright?!... Now.. let's get this show on the road!" The hybrid excitedly punched her palm, ready to rumble.
"First," Elyse turned to the officer again, "why was so much of the case classified?"
"--Because some of this information cannot risk being leaked." A new character emerged; a simple looking man with black hair, broad shoulders, and a tan coat covering a simple black outfit. Elyse felt like she recognized him somewhat, but couldn't quite place a finger on when, where and who.
"Tsukauchi.. It's been a while." Mirko shot a smirk his way. He hardly reacted. Merely nodded his head in acknowledgement.
"Our only witness was kind enough to join us this evening to speak with you two in person. We may have just struck gold with this case..because it turns out this branch of villainy runs much deeper than we expected..." Turning around, the man motioned for the heroes to follow him into the other room he had just appeared from.
It was smaller but brighter. A single table sat in the middle, which was full of papers and empty noodle cups. Along the right wall was a couch where a few other officers sat around waiting. A couple officers sat at the table, busy doing their own thing. A boy sat between them at the end of it. The teen so still and quiet, fingers intertwined and resting on the desk.
"Mob??" Elyse gasped. Mob looked up, surprised but happy to see her.
"You know him?" The detective turned to look over his shoulder.
"Uh, yeah! He's my boyfriend's student!" Wow, that felt weird saying out loud. "Mob, what did I tell you about getting kidnapped again??" Placing both hands on her hips, the woman glared down at the teen across the table. Mob's eyes darted all around for some help. He seemed especially meek today. ...Poor boy..
"Wh?? I- I don't r-remember you--"
"Oh calm down, bud, I was only joking."
"Oh.."
Elyse sighed and rounded the table. She felt pretty bad for the kid. Targeted twice in less than two full months. Now that's gotta be some record! When she appeared at his side, she ruffled his hair and chuckled warmly.
"Don't worry, kid, you did good. We've got it from here. Just leave the rest up to professionals." Under her hand, she could literally feel the stress melt away from the boy...some of it crawling up into her own arm instead.
"Let'a make this brief." Tsukauchi pressed a button on his remote, awakening a projector. An image of Nezu appeared on the wall, the mouse smiling warmly, his paws folded on the desk by where he sat.
"What about Mob?" Elyse brought up.
"He's already heard most of this." The detective explained. Mob craned his neck to look at the image of his principle too.
"Ah."
""Hello, everyone."" Nezu spoke. ""Since it appears you are all online, now's probably the best time to explain what is going on. Sorry for the poor conditions of your meeting rooms. Being a critical mission, and at such a pressing time no less, I didn't want a large gathering of heroes to trigger the villains. This feed is currently being viewed from five different locations, each of which designated as different strike forces.""
"Fancy.." Queller.
"Mhm." Mirko.
"He can hear you, ya know?" Tsukauchi growled.
"Excellent." Grinning, Mirko approached the table and placed her hands upon it, staring down the camera across from her. "So this is some sort of quirk trafficking ring we're taking down, right?"
""Unfortunately, it is a bit more complicated than that."" The mouse started to explain as images slid onto the screen, his face cam scooting into the corner. ""The trafficking is so closely intertwined with underground fighting rings that in some parts of Japan there is no difference..."" He pulled up another slide showing a blurry image of three individuals. ""These are the big three; the overseers of the trafficking side of the operation in Japan.. which is ironic, since DNA samples taken from the one who died earlier last week match a former victim of the very same system. Though much of this trade has nothing to do with any major organizations, preferring to stick to themselves, we have reason to believe these three are close associates with All For One, likely even the very reason he has been able to garner so much power in these past years without entering public eye. ... This is also where I believe he finds his Nomu.""
"Wait, Nomu?? Those monsters?!... Oh..crud." Mirko pressed her palm to her forehead as the pieces of the puzzle slid into place. She hadn't even considered those things once being people before!
""You said there was someone we were trying to rescue, correct?"" Some male hero's voice on another line asked.
""Of course.."" Nezu pressed another button, pulling up a mugshot featuring a rather snarky looking girl smirking at the camera. Mirko chuckled. ""She's simply known as 'Z', however, Kageyama informed us that she introduced herself as 'Zeya.' Height: 159 centimeters. Blood type: B+. Natural silver hair and brown eyes."" Elyse squinted at the image. Despite all the tattoos and messy short hair, there was something familiar about her...
"I can see that, but how do we find her?" Mirko brought up, standing up straighter to place her hands on her hips firmly.
""That will be the easiest part, actually."" The mouse smiled. ""Before Z was taken, she ingested a tracker, which only deactivated two days ago. She even handed Mob her phone."" Following, Nezu held up said phone. Though the screen was cracked, the image was clear. A small map of the city with several, differently colored dots on it. ""Though hers went out, it sat still in one place long enough to be certain this was her final stop."" A more defined map appeared on the big screen, which had an arrow pointing to a dark patch on the map. Another image appeared after, defining the dark spot as a large building, perhaps even the hidden base.
Mirko smiled at that. Deviously.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go kick some villain a##!"
----------
""Since there will be five small strike forces infiltrating this fortress at once, communication between the teams will be vital. Mei Shiin will be in charge of communications as well as interrogating if any of the villains are caught.""
----------
"Wonder who this Mei chic is..." Elyse wondered while most of her attention was placed ahead of her on the road. The #5 hero sat beside her in the passenger seat, propping her elbow on the door.
"Mmhm, sounds like a name I would remember.." Rabbit ears mumbled, resting her cheek against her fist.
The city streets were quiet late at night, especially back here, where the roads were eroding away, the lamp lights flickering on occasion.
' 'Stop here.' ' Elyse hit the breaks immediately, rocking the car.
"Woah!" Mirko jolted at attention. "Why the he--"
"Did you hear that??"
"Hear what?!" The bulkier of the two huffed and crossed her arms.
' 'Walk from here.' '
"That!!"
Mirko's ears twitched. "...Nah.. That wasn't hearing... Tfh, guess someone has a quirk that lets them speak to people's minds." The hero smirked. "Question is, are they friend or foe?"
' 'Friend. I'm that 'Mei chic' you were wondering about. Head of communications for this mission.' '
"Oh-" Guess she could see why this woman was in charge of communications. Though everyone still had coms anyways, this was instantaneous and without risk of hardware failures.
' 'I'll be down in a minute. I'm on the roof. You're a little bit ahead of the other teams.' '
"Alright then.." Mirko shrugged, stepping out of the car. Elyse carefully, still uneasy about listening to someone they knew so little about. Not long after the two stepped onto the sidewalk, another woman dressed all in black hopped down from a canopy, rolling over her shoulder to recover from the drop. Springing up, the young woman approached the other two. She had medium black hair and dark brown eyes. On top of appearing quite a few years younger than the other two, she was also a little shorter as well. Most defining of all her simple features was a black mask that covered the lower half of her face and neck.
' 'It'll be safer to walk on foot the rest of the way, since there are signs of The League being here as well.' '
"The what?!" Elyse gasped. What were the coincidences of this?! Did they come here often??
' 'It would be better for you to keep quiet and just think your questions clearly. I am both deaf and mute, so there is no point in talking to me verbally.' '
"Raaad.. Sorry." Mirko. A few awkward seconds passed of Mirko and Mei staring at each other.
' 'Im case you are wondering, Queller, Mirko here is right about me. I'm an underground hero, slash detective.' '
'Hey, I used to be a detective too!' Elyse smiled.
' 'That must be why you were positioned here, then. .. Judging by satellite scans of this site, a bulk of the computers in this facility will be in the East branch.' '
'Got it.'
' 'Download all the information you can into a USB.' ' Mei handed both Mirko and Queller one just in case they weren't handed one already. They dad one, but took these as spares. ' 'Oh, and if you can, please include information on the people trafficked through the ring. ... I only got into this business to track down my missing brother, and all trails end where he entered this nightmare of a business.' '
'Sad... Not too far off from why I became a detective..' Elyse thought, turning away from the young woman to start down the sidewalk.
' 'Guess we have something in common, then?' ' Elyse's shoulders tightened.
'Uhh, you weren't supposed to hear that!'
' 'Sorry, I cannot help it unless I deactivate my own quirk, which, in our situation would be a terrible idea.' ' Now Mirko was watching them with confusion, wondering what the two were talking about.
'Ahh... Guess I shouldn't think about anything private around her then.'
Mei's eyes squinted, showing her smile. ' 'Everyone thinks that, but it never works. I know six different languages as well, so thinking in another language likely won't work either.' '
'S###, that was my next idea.' Elyse made Mei chuckle. Then Mei's head spun around to look at Mirko, who was glaring the two down.
' 'Right, right. Sorry. You two hurry on ahead. I've trained my quirk to be able to speak with those at great distances, so as long as you stay within the site's range, I should be able to reach you. Keep a listening ear out for my voice, alright?' '
'Sounds good.'
'Alright.'
----------
As Elyse and Mirko snuck around in the shadows between buildings and around piles of trash, Elyse thought she heard a couple oddly familiar voices shushing each other around a corner. She peeked her head around it, spotting two full grown men wearing bush costumes over their suits.
'Oh no... Hey, Reigen! Wait-' "Psst! Reigen?!" She whispered as loudly as she could. The two men ahead of the two ladies spun around frantically, terrified looks on their faces. They both looked at least a little more relieved to see it was a familiar face who had called them.
"Elyse?? What the h### are you doing here?!" Reigen whisper-shouted.
"I should be asking you that, bozo! We're on a mission!"
"Wht?? For real?!"
...Appearing above Elyse's head, Mirko smirked at the sight. "One of these that boyfriend you mentioned earlier~?" Speaking her usual volume.
"Shhh-shh-sh!" Elyse pushed the human-rabit off of her, a faint blush appearing thanks to her untimely comment. "Bu-yeah. The blond one.."
"Aww, that's cute. Yeah, you two idiots are the perfect match." Still at a normal volume, which annoyed the frick out of Elyse. Both protested in the quickest way possible that they were indeed not idiots, but Mirko didn't care.
' 'League of Villains identified in the East Wing. Try to destroy as little as possible.' ' Both Mirko and Elyse looked up, but couldn't see Mei anywhere, whereas the two men wondered why they were looking around all of a sudden.
"..Why the h### did they send me here then??" Mirko huffed.
"Seriously, guys, why are you here?" Elyse.
"It's-it's a job. Someone said they saw a spirit with a chainsaw head nearby and wanted it exorcised before it hurt anyone." Serizawa explained. Reigen continued for him.
"I bet it's nothing big. I'll just throw some salt around the warehouse, and that should do the trick." Reigen explained casually.
Placing her hand on Elyse's shoulder, "Okay now I really want to know how the frick you found this man." Mirko chuckled.
"H-hello, Miss Mirko!" Serizawa stood just to bow at the hero, who had been steadily emerging from around the corner as the conversation progressed. "I- I started doing some research into heroes after Mob joined UA! Con-congratulations for making fifth place, ma'am!"
Mirko crossed her arms and smirked at the male brunette. "Teh, thanks. It was no easily feat, but save the celebratory stuff for later when I rank number one!"
"R-right!"
' 'Would you ladies quit flirting already? Just tell the citizens to evacuate and be done with it. Endeavor and his team are moving into place. If you're quick enough, you can scare The League from the East Wing to the West wing for him to handle... They still haven't noticed any heroes yet.' '
'Okay.' Elyse sighed and stood straighter. "Listen, I know you are on a mission and all, but you two are headed in the direction of a potential big baddie base, so I really suggest leaving it to us." Elyse warned. Reigen squeaked with worry, while contrasting, Serizawa showed even more interest.
"Let us help." Serizawa.
"Not without a hero license, buddy." Mirko placed a hand on her hip. "Do you even have a quirk useful for for combat?"
"I am a fairly powerful Esper.." The way he said it didn't make him sound so sure.
"--Wait... If it's a comic book villain you guys are talking about.. I can handle this." Standing up confidently, Reigen smiled at Elyse before spinning on his heel. "If I talked an entire evil Esper organization out of their ways once before...I'm sure I can do it again."
"You're seriously going to talk the League of Villains out of their cruelty?!" Elyse called from behind. Reigen's head shrank between his shoulders for a moment. But then he recollected his cool and continued onward.
"If it means keeping you out of harms way as much as possible.. it's worth a shot." Shrugging. "Come come, Serizawa. Watch and learn from a true delegator."
"Y-es, sir!" They marched on ahead, completely ignoring Elyse's warning.
"...Just going to let your boyfriend run off like that? Heh, I would dump him."
"Now hold on a second.." Holding Mirko from passing her with one arm. "He may not have a quirk of his own..but he's probably the only guy I know who doesn't need one..."
"Huh?"
"And besides, if he gets into any trouble, Serizawa's got him covered. The man fought Shigaraki at his strongest one-to-one."
"D###!.. Luucckkyy!" The girls followed in a much more secret manner as Reigen and Serizawa wove through the alleyways until they came upon the site. The base of sorts kind of looked like an octopus of sorts. One big dome sat in the center, four rectangular warehouses around it. The scans had shown that this was only a front. The real base was underground, connecting all of the warehouses together into one big base or laboratory of sorts.
"..You have no idea how badly I want to bust through that domb... Pop it like a zit. Get it done with with one kick." Mirko mumbled under her breath as the two watched the guys climb the fence and enter the warehouse. Elyse gave Mirko a concerned look.
"...I can see why they partnered us up now... Because, no."
After a little bit of waiting, Mirko was starting to get antsy. Elyse too, but not as obviously.
"They alive still?"
' 'No one has died yet. I have a hard time understanding why you trusted them. ... But somehow, it's working.' '
The door to the East entrance flung out, Reigen racing out the door with Serizawa and some other guy. All three hopped, climbed, and stumbled over the high chain-link fence.
Reigen stopped and panted when he reached the girls, bracing his hands on his knees while trying to catch his breath.
"...Whew!... Well, most of the people in there were insane out of their minds, but I did manage to convince one of them. Everyone, meet..what was your name again? -Twice! ...Psst, Elyse, pretend you, Serizawa, Mob and I are a little group called the Antiheroes, ahkay?" Elyse nodded and smirked. His suit was a little ruffled and perhaps a bit singed.. but he was alright. A lot happier that he was okay than she expected to be, Elyse grabbed Reigen's head and kissed him on the sweaty forehead... Ew, salty.
"Glad you're okay. Now where'd the others go?"
"The other way."
' 'The League ran toward the West Exit. They should be clashing with Endeavor in about a minute now. Oh wait, you weren't asking me, were you?' '
'No but thank you for the extra info.' "Now run on, guys! We've got it from here!" Elyse waved the three to run along. The only one who had some restraint was Twice, whose masked face bore a ton of confusion and worry.
"Yu-yu-you guys won't kill them or anything, right?!"
"Listen, the only thing we came for was Intel and a kidnapped child. Any fighting will be in self defense!" Elyse couldn't speak for Mirko, however that was always her policy. And she didn't want to say anything more and possibly undo all of Reigen's previous convincing.
"O-okay, thanks!"
"I don't believe her!" Twice spoke with two different tones as he hurried off after Reigen and Serizawa.
Mirko stood in a broad stance beside Elyse, punch her own palm excitedly. "Finally!!!"
"Hold up for just a second..." Elyse still felt like there was something off. "I'll go first.." She stood steadily. Mirko growled.
"Seriously?! What makes you think you can do that?! I'm a much higher rank!
"I'm older, I'm going first."
"Pssh! Record says you're only a year older than me! Step aside!!" The rabbit hero forcefully shoved Elyse to the side, grin broadening.
A loud thud sound from the warehouse stole their attention from one another. Both grimaced as the remaining echo from the sound faded away.
It could be literally anything at this point...
...
"Step aside, grandma, I'm going in." Mirko marched ahead, easily hopping over the fence.
Elyse sped herself up so that she climbed over it just as quickly, again at the #5 hero's side. "Didn't you JUST say you were only a year younger than me?!"
Though they liked to pick fun at one another out here, they knew the battle inside would be no joke.
