Chapter 33

Adore's POV

Time Check:

I step into the class, eyes on me, and all I can think of is how I could've just skipped. I know I could've, but no. I decide to abide by the damn rules. I'm a dumbass.

"Is this even your class?" I hear a familiar voice. I don't even look at her, I just look at the teacher and she comes over to me and takes me to her desk while the class continues on their work, with a few still looking at me. I can feel my face and neck heat up under my makeup and I'm sure if I didn't have any on I'd be red as hell.

I swiftly take out my schedule and show her how I'm "supposed" to be in this class. "I know," Ms. Flowers says, "I put you in here. I definitely think you'll benefit from it; from what your prior teachers told me, you've improved greatly from before, Adore." she finishes and I mentally roll my eyes at this. "You're seat is right there." She points to a deal with two empty desks in the back, then hands me a worksheet.Thank heavens, because sitting in the front was a no go.

I walk to my seat and quickly sit down in it, making sure I didn't make any eye contact with anybody. The only person I know for sure is in this class is Bianca, and I haven't heard her yet. I continuously look at my paper and scrunch up my face, because this is all so foreign to me. I've never learned about this. For once, I look up the board-- and nothing else but the board-- and see an example of numbers 1 and 2. I copy them and see...... nothing but shit.

Suddenly, I feel something hit my left boob, and looking down, I find that it's a paper ball. I look up and around the class to see who threw this at me and who wants these hands; the only person I see looking at me, though, is Darienne. She shoots a look at the ball, and I pick it up and open it.

"Are you switched in here?" I look up at her and nod. She makes a motion to the teacher, who was near her, to see if she could come sit next to me; the teacher allowed it, and Darienne picked up her pencil, calculator, and the paper and walks over to me. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Darienne says amusingly, and I just faintly smile and she sits down. "What we have here is a confused Adore." I say while resting my head on my head. I sigh a little as she picked up my paper. But, before she could start explaining the problem I stop her by asking her, "Isn't this Bianca's class, too?" It's not like I care a whole lot, I'm just curious because I don't see her as I'm looking around for any more of my friends. "Yeah," I hear Darienne say. "But she didn't show up. I was wondering if you knew." I snap my attention back to her. She's gone again? I just saw her this morning. What happened now? "Oh she's still here, she just wouldn't tell me where." She rushes out. I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. Maybe I do care a little. "Ok that's good."

She helps me out a little with getting the problems down, and after that, I continue it by myself. Yet, in the back of my mind, I start thinking about Bianca, of course; it has become a habit I just can't shake.

I don't want to think about her at all anymore. She's bipolar, and she could start spazzing out on me at any given moment. I don't want to walk on eggshells around her. Literally a walking ticking time bomb. But.... I still worry for her and want to make sure she's okay. Maybe I want to be her friend, but at a distance. Yeah, that sounds okay.

Next thing I know, the bell rings and it's time to leave. I pack up and walk out the door to go to History. I walk down the stairs through the kids and notice Bianca. Talking to some girls I've never seen before. Now I know everybody in this school, even the 1st year middle schoolers, but these girls are new to my eyes.

I spot Darienne coming down the stairs, so I pull on her arm. "There she is." I say, and I hope she gets the message that she's with these other ladies. "Oh good. But who are they?" She asks me in a hushed voice. I shrug my shoulders. "Well go ask her!" "What? No YOU go ask her." After a moment of arguing with each other, we look back over and see them all staring at us.

"And if you look to your left, you'll see the biggest assholes of our school." Bianca says, making the crowd laugh. We both walk down the rest of the stairs and over to her. I wave awkwardly while Dar does a curtsy and says, "Darienne Lake, a pleasure." Bianca rolls her eyes. "What do you want? I'm kind of busy here." she asks. "What are you doing? A tour group?" Darienne asks and she nods. "Well we'll let you get back to it. Come on Dar." I give one last smile to them and push Darienne to History class. I look back for a second and see one of the girls immediately link her arms with Bainca's. Her makeup looks flawless, and her outfit is stunning. The only thing is: she's bald. It doesn't make her look bad, though. She almost looks evil though. Maybe it's her eyebrows and how crafty they look. Hmmph. I'll ask about it later.
