Where do I go from here?
@merrybitchmas ^
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS NOT THE LAST CHAPTER TO THIS BOOK
It might seem like it but I still have five more chapters to write for this book
And please stop theorizing about how this is going to end or keep suggesting writing a sequel
Especially the theorizing stuff or "writing a fanfiction of a fanfiction" it makes me feel bad because a lot of what you guys write is no where near what I'm going to write and I don't want you guys to hate the ending if everyone is expecting something else
I am not going to write a sequel to this book
It will make sense as to why I won't in two chapters
((but also I just don't like sequels on this site, they never work out))
And apparently I have to reiterate this don't use my original characters ((Evan, Quinn, and Wylan specifically))
So don't even bother asking anymore because I'm not going to say yes
If you guys want to write my characters, get Thomas to read Don't Let Me Be Gone
I'm sorry if I'm coming off mean or angry, I don't mean to

Virgil POV
I don't want to do this. I can't do this. I'm not going to do this. I can't handle this. This is all way too much change way too quickly.
"Virgil," Roman said softly, gently setting a hand on my back. "Just take deep breaths. I don't want you getting a panic attack fifteen minutes before our graduation."
I looked up at him from where I was curled up in a plastic desk chair. Roman smiled at me softly and I looked over his graduation gown. The traditional black but with a red tassel on the cap for the school colors.
"It's just a lot to take in," I mumbled, running a hand through my hair.
"It's just a few seconds where you walk across the stage," Roman reminded me. "Take your diploma and then your done."
While I was worried about having to walk across the stage in front of the entire senior class and their families, it the realization that high school is coming to an end that scared me more. College and true adulthood comes next. There's so many scary possibilities.
"But what about after that?" I asked. "I got accepted into college but it's so much all at once."
"But remember," Roman said. "We're going to the same college. My parents will pull strings and pay extra so that we can be in the same dorm room for freshman year. Then we're going to buy an apartment together. I will be there for you every step of the way."
"But what if you aren't?" I rambled, my anxiety seeming to be on overdrive today. "What if we break up? What if one of us drops out or gets kicked out? What if one of us dies?"
"Virgil," Roman said sternly. "None of that is going to happen. I promise." He pressed a soft kiss to my forehead and then put my cap back on.
"What if I trip walking across the stage?" I asked worriedly. "I could make a total fool of yourself."
"You're not going to," He told me. "Now c'mon, I wanna hang out with the others before graduation. Are you up for socializing?"
"With our friends, yeah," I answered, standing up.
Roman led the way back down the hallway and into the classroom our group had taken over. The principle let's try senior class roam the high school for the hour leading up to graduation. Usually social groups just choose classrooms to change and hang out in.
Our group choose the music room, kicking the theater nerds in with the band geeks in the band room. Roman managed to convince them to let us have the room since Roman has become even more popular since everyone found out what Jackson did.
When Jackson's trial went public, it basically outed everyone. Of course there's been the occasional homophobe, but there's been a lot more accepting people.
Roman pushed open the door to the music room where everyone else was. Everyone had put on their graduation gowns already. Logan was trying to explain that the correct name for them is an academic dress but Remy refused to except it.
Quinn was having a panic attack in the corner about having to walk across the stage in front of everyone while Damien tried to calm him. Quinn seemed to be calming down a bit but repressing the fear.
Patton and Emile were gushing excitedly about the future together. They were the only two sitting down at the desks. Roman quickly joined the two while I perched myself on the windowsill.
"What is everyone's feeling on graduation?" Patton asked. "I'm very excited!"
"I didn't think I'd live this long," Quinn mumbled.
"Same," Remy and I both said at the same time.
"Now kiddos," Patton sighed. But he didn't really know how to respond to something like that.
"I'm surprised I even graduated," Remy said with a self deprecating laugh. "My grades were fucking horrible."
"Agreed," Roman laughed. "I think the only reason I'm graduating is getting a full ride theater scholarship."
"Nah, I ain't going to college," Remy said. "And the only reason I graduated was copying off Emile."
"And I'm so glad we never got caught," Emile whispered, shaking his head.
"Cheating off your boyfriend is not going to get you anywhere in life Remy," Logan told him.
"That's why I ain't going to college," Remy reminded him.
"'Ain't' is not a word," Logan sighed, rubbing his temple.
"Moving on," Patton interrupted.
"Have we not done enough moving on this school year," Logan mumbled, mostly to himself.
"What's everyone majoring and or studying in college?" Patton asked. "Except for you Remy."
"Hey!" Remy yelled. "I'm going to be a self taught mixologist and open a gay bar."
"Good for you," Patton told him with a proud smile. "What about everyone else."
"Theater and acting," Roman declared dramatically.
"English and liberal arts," I said next.
"Law," Damien answered.
"Psychology," Emile told him.
"Art," Quinn mumbled. I'm still shocked Quinn decided to go to college. I didn't take him to be someone able to handle the stress. Well, neither am I if I'm being honest.
"I will get my masters degree in biochemistry and my doctorate in biomedical engineering," Logan answered.
"But both of those are considered some of the hardest college majors," Roman told him, confusion evident on his face.
Before Logan could answer with probably a very long explanation, someone knocked on the door. Then the door opened and Remus and Evan were there.
Evan has his graduation ceremony yesterday. We all went to it since he is a virtual person in our friend group now. I'm glad I met Evan.
"Hey, we snuck in so be quiet," Remus said quickly, silently shutting the door. "Principle hates me with a burning passion."
"Who doesn't?" Remy smirked. Evan gasped in offense for Remus.
"That wasn't very nice," Evan chastised. "I don't hate Remus."
"It's a joke, chill," Remy sighed.
"Anyways," Patton interrupted again. "What are you going to study Evan?"
"I want to major in veterinary science but also get a minor in biology," Evan answered.
"What did you study in college Remus?" Patton inquired.
"It was really dumb," Remus laughed awkwardly, suddenly embarrassed. "I tried to get a degree in the science of demolition. It sounded fun, the idea of blowing stuff up for a job. Then I dropped out."
"You should got back to college and try to get the degree again," Emile suggested.
"Oh hell no," Remus said sternly.
They were about to continue arguing when Principle Williams came over the speaker system. It crackled to like with a terrifying sound.
"Attention students," Principle Williams said. "The graduation ceremony will begin in one minute. Please head to the gymnasium doors now."
"Okay, gotta go," Remus said quickly, grabbing Evan and pushing him out of the room. The two disappeared quickly.
"Well, this is it," Patton mumbled as we all grouped around the door. "Group hug."
Everyone quickly joined the group hug, even Quinn. I smiled a bit, feeling a little better as I was being smushed in a group hug.
We pulled apart and headed silently to the gym. Then we separated and got in the line in alphabetical order.
~~~Le MaGiCaL TiMe sKiP~~~
Almost two hours later, I was sitting in the audience holding my diploma in my hand. I just kept staring at it in shock, barely paying attention to the other students still walking across the stage.
Roman went before my anyway so there wasn't any reason to keep watching. Besides, my last name put me near the end and all my other friends were before me.
I was in shock. I can't believe I made it. I've officially graduated high school. I'm going to college in a little more then three months. I survived. I'm free.
