Mistletoe and Christmas Snow

I'm really proud of myself for coming up with this title idk why

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

I'm sorry I've been missing updates, yesterday I was fine just tired but I'm lucky to have this chapter prewritten bc I've been having a panic attack

I've kinda been having a mental breakdown bc people have been saying I'm racist because Remy said "I don't speak taco"

I don't think that it is, please explain to me

I didn't mean for it to come off that way

I thought it was a funny joke, things I've heard people joke about in my Spanish class

I'm really really sorry if it did offend someone

I never meant for that to happen

I'm really sorry

Back to hating myself, wishing for death, and watching my self esteem and pride in my book go up in flames

I originally was gonna write a Logicality part to this but it's hard to write right now

I'll try to do another chapter

Emile POV
I hummed Winter Wonderland to myself softly while making some hot chocolate. It was already Christmas Eve and I'm excited.

I got Remy two presents that I hope he'll like. Well one is kinda a gag gift, but it'll still be useful. But the other, I've been saving up for. Also I got him a little Christmas basket full of tons of smaller things for him.

The Christmas basket is a tradition my family's always done. So I introduced it to Remy and then he spent the day shopping to put one together for me.

I walked back to the living room with the mugs on a tray. Dad followed me, carrying a tray covered with tons of Christmas cookies.

He was trying to pamper Mom since she's been working so much to bake cookies and wrap presents. Now he's been spending the day getting her to relax and take a break.

I loved how their relationship worked. They were so obviously in love even almost thirty years into their marriage. I hope Remy and I life a long happy life like that.

Dad sat the cookies on the bedside table between the couch and the big chair. The big chair was this really big chair with big fluffy arm rests and pillows and a big ottoman.

I snuggled into the chair with Remy, getting under the fluffy Christmas blanket. I handed a mug to Remy, setting the other two on the coffee table. My parents sat down together on the couch, also getting under blankets.

Another tradition my family has is staying up late on Christmas Eve to binge watch all the Christmas movies. The fireplace crackling in the background.  The lights dimmed and the smell of Christmas trees in the air.

"So which first," Dad said, grabbing the box of dvds. "Elf, A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, Polar Express, Christmas Vacation, or Home Alone?"

"Elf," I said, Remy agreeing. Mom also agreed so he started Elf on the tv.

The rest of the night went by nicely.  Getting to cuddle with Remy and watch Christmas classics.  Remy gave me little kisses whenever he thought my parents were looking.

It was a good night.

"Remy,"  I whined.  "Wake up!"

"Don't wanna,"  He grumbled, keeping his face buried in our pillows.

"It's Christmas morning!"  I yelled excitedly.  "You have to get up so that we can open presents!"

"That can wait until after seven in the morning,"  Remy complained.

"C'mon, it snowed again over night so there's Christmas now,"  I said, trying to drag Remy out of the bed.

"Sleep,"  He mumbled.

"Remy,"  I said sternly, resting my hands on my hips.  "No kisses today unless you get up and come downstairs."

"You wouldn't dare,"  Remy said, finally opening his eyes to look at me.

"I do,"  I laughed.  I turned and started to walk away.  I just got my hand on the doorknob when Remy bolted from the beds and wrapped his arms tightly around my waist.

"Oh I don't think so,"  He whispered, kissing up my neck.  I turned around, giving him a big kiss.

"No coffee then,"  I teased.  I slipped out of his arms with practiced eased.

I bolted downstairs while giggling.  Remy had to pull sweatpants on over my boxers before being able to go running after me.

Mom and Dad were already downstairs.  They both had cups of coffee, sitting on the couch near the tree.

I sat down on the floor, Remy trudging behind me still half asleep. Mom handed him a cup of coffee, already knowing.

I started passing out presents, handing a bunch to my parents but turned to watch Remy open the first present I got him.

It was a big square shaped present. Remy opened it and then started laughing. He held up the box that contained a black motorcycle helmet.

"Really?" He laughed.

"Absolutely," I answered with a giggle. Remy then handed me a present.

I opened the present to find a white jean jacket. It matched Remy's black one. There was also a ton of new cardigans. Brown, white, and grey ones.

"Oooo," I said, going through all the new cardigans.

I gave Remy another present. He opened and pulled out a black shoe box with fancy silver writing on the side, Christian Louboutin. Remy opened the box and pulled out a pair of heels.

They were an extremely expensive pair of shiny black heels with a silver glitter six inch heels and grunge esq buckles on the ankles.  The bottom of the shoes were red.

"Emile," Remy said, just looking at the heels in shock. "These are like two hundred dollar heels.  These are designer heels, from like the best brand on the market."

"I know," I said with a smile. "You wanted them, so I got them for you. You deserve them."

"I don't even know what to say,"  He mumbled.  "These are amazing."

"I'm glad you like them,"  I laughed, extremely proud of myself.

Remy handed me another present.  I opened the present to find mini figurines of Steven Universe characters.  I started squealing in happiness.

"Oh my goodness!"  I exclaimed.  "They don't even make these anymore!  They're so cute!"

"Well like you said to me, you wanted them so I got them for you,"  Remy laughed, smirking at me.

I pulled Remy into a tight hug.  We stayed hugging while my parents opened theirs.  I got some more presents from them.  They even gave Remy a present.

Then it was time for the baskets.  I gave Remy his and he gave me mine.  Mom and Dad exchanged theirs too.

I opened mine excitedly.  Pulling off the pretty wrapping paper to see the contents.  I gasped again in happiness.

There was a Steven Universe fluffy blanket rolled up.  I unrolled it and wrapped it around my shoulders.  There were three gift cards: one to Hot Topic, one to Barnes and Noble and the last to Target.

Everything in the basket was laying in a ton of pins. I started going through the pins. Some were bands and singers I liked, others were pins from cartoons and movies I was obsessed with, there were too heart shaped pins, one had the pan pride flag, the other one was the gay pride flag, there were other rainbow and pan pins, a few with cheesy jokes and references, then a few with cute little cartoonish animals and plants.

But what really got my attention was the big Stitch stuffed animal.  I grabbed the plushie and hugged it tightly.  I hope I never loose this.

"Oh my goodness this is amazing," I squealed. Remy smiled happily.

Then he opened his.  I had given him a Starbucks gift card and a Hot Topic gift card.  There was a black round mug that said Parental Advisory Explicate Content.  There was a bunch of CDs for bands he liked.  Also a collection of grunge pins.  I filled the bottom with some of his favorite candies, M&Ms, snickers, and Reese's.

"Aw, thank you so much Emi,"  Remy said with a grateful smile.  I smiled back.

We started cleaning up, disposing of all the destroyed wrapping paper and putting presents in piles.

Mom and Dad disappeared into the kitchen to make a nice Christmas breakfast.  I headed out of the living and too the stairs but Remy stopped me in the doorway.

He wrapped an arm around my neck and smirked down at me.  I blushed a bit but didn't push him away.

"Look up,"  He told me.  I looked up to see mistletoe hanging from the doorway.  I started laughing softly.

Then I wrapped my arms around Remy's neck and pulled him in for a big Christmas kiss.
