Midnight Coffee Date
SORRY I MISSED UPDATES AGAIN, I REALLY HATE MYSELF RN BUT THATS OKAY
ANYWAYS...sorry
Emile POV
The clock on the wall ticked to 12:01 am. I let out a sigh, taking another sip of my coffee. Remy kicked his feet up on the ottoman.
"I thought you said your parents would be home by 11," Remy said again.
"They did," I answered. "They're never home this late."
"They're an hour late," Remy commented.
"Why is it such an issue to you?" I asked him. "I thought you'd be happy if my parents weren't home."
"I love being home alone with ya babes but that crazy ass thunderstorm out there is worrying." He motioned towards the window with his coffee. I nodded slowly, trying and failing to mask the concern on my face.
"Patton still hasn't texted me about how his hand out with Logan went," I added.
"Ya mean date?" Remy laughed.
"Patton said it was just a hang out," I told him sternly. Remy let out a sigh.
"Well the powers out so his phone might be dead," Remy suggested. "Nah. I bet ya a coffee he's staying at Logan's because he hates thunderstorms."
"I wouldn't be surprised," I laughed.
"I'm still gonna punch that nerd one day for being a dick to Patton," Remy said lowly.
"Logan didn't want Patton to get hurt," I defended him.
"Well he did a bad job at that," Remy joked. I laughed a bit even considering the truth behind the statement.
"How's things going with your mom?" I couldn't help but ask. Remy froze.
"Well she won't let me go back into the house to get all my stuff," He told me. "She throws shit at me so I'll go away."
I slipped my hand into his. I pressed a kiss to his cheek, bringing a smile back to his lips.
"It'll get better," I told him, rubbing my fingers over his knuckles. They were scarred and cracked from the many fist fights he's been in. "Even if things don't work out with your mom, I'll always be here."
"Thanks Emi," Remy smiled, giving me a loving kiss. I laughed at the nickname. "I love you, ya know that right?"
"Of course, I love you too Rem," I told him, returning his kiss.
"Once we're graduated, what do you want to do?" He asked me.
"Go to college and become a therapist," I answered. "Get married. I'd like to adopt a kid some day. Live a nice long love filled life. Get to help people."
Remy let out a sigh, obviously thinking something over. I took another sip of my coffee.
"What about you?" I asked him.
"I have no clue," Remy sighed. "See, you got everything planned out and I have no clue what the hell I'm even gonna do tomorrow."
"Well planning for the future takes lots of work," I said. "Do you want to go to college?"
"Don't have the money to," He answered.
"Would you if you had the money?"
"Maybe, but probably not," He said with a sigh. "It's just never been in my long term plan."
"What's your long term plan?" I asked him. He turned towards me with a smirk.
"Well it was originally to ask you out and date you but I got that covered," He laughed, kissing me again. "But now I don't know."
"We'll figure it out together," I told him, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. "But what would your dream life look like?"
"A sweet ass apartment in the city. Not too big and fancy but big enough to not be cramped. A nice job that pays well enough," He said with a far off look. "I don't think I'd be a good parent but I'm hoping I'd be able to come home to the bestest most beautiful therapist in the world."
I blushed bright red at Remy's wish. I giggled a bit, but giggling soon turned to laughter.
"I'm not," I argued while trying to contain my laughter.
"Oh yes you are," Remy argued back with a smirk. "But I'm serious that I think of how I would take care of you in the future if were still together."
"I'd like that too," I mumbled. "But you don't have to take care of me."
"I am gonna spoil you no matter how little money I have and you're gonna accept all my love," Remy told me, wrapping me into a big hug.
I laughed, holding out my coffee as to not spill it. I let out a content sigh and leaned into Remy's touch.
"I think a nice apartment in the city, with a cat and lots of plants," I started.
"Sun blocking curtains and coffee," Remy added.
"Pastel theme but enough black and monochrome for you," I laughed.
"A nice living room with a big comfy couch and a good sized tv to binge watch movies and tv shows," He said.
"Especially Steven Universe," I added quickly.
"Absolutely," Remy laughed, pressing a kiss to the top of my head. "And a good kitchen since you like to cook."
"And I think it only needs one bedroom," I joked.
"Well the bedroom is the best part," Remy teased, kissing at my neck. I blushed down to my chest but laughed it off.
"You only say that because you love to sleep," I teased back.
"Maybe," He admitted with a laugh. "But it'd be lovely to get to wake up with you in my arms every morning."
"That would be nice," I agreed with a soft sigh. I could envision our dream apartment almost perfectly.
"Wait did you say a cat?" Remy asked, looking at me in mock offense. "Because we're obviously getting a dog."
"Cats are cuter," I told him.
"Dogs are more fun," He argued.
"Cats are super soft and they cuddle," I said.
"Dogs aren't little demons with fur with little razor blades on their paws," Remy laughed. I couldn't help but laugh a bit too.
"Let's get both," I said, turning around so I was facing Remy in his lap. He rested one hand on my hip and the other on my thigh.
"Both is good," He agreed.
"We're naming the kitten either Lapis or Ruby," I said, going through names and fusions from Steven Universe.
"Then we call the dog Steve," Remy joked.
"No," I whined. "You are not naming our dog Steve."
"Espresso?"
"You can not call a dog Espresso," I deadpanned.
"But you can name a kitten after a shiny rock?" He asked with a smirk.
"They are the Crystal Gems!" I yelled in mock offense. "Not shiny rocks!"
"Espresso it is then," He laughed.
"You're such a goof," I told him.
"Uno reverse card,"
"Seriously?"
"Abso-fucking-lutely."
I sighed, resting my head on his shoulder. Remy laughed, running his hand up and down my back.
We both started drifting off a bit, when the front door slammed open. We both jumped, Remy quickly shoving me next to him in a protective manner.
Patton came through the door, shutting it loudly behind him. He had a huge grin on his face and was practically bouncing on his feet.
"What?" Remy asked, probably a little to harshly. But anyone should expect a grumpy Remy if you wake him up.
"LOGAN KISSED ME!" Patton screamed, a look of pure happiness on his face.
