I'm not a piece of cake
Sorry I missed updates again
Logan POV
I let out a long yawn as my alarm clock went off. I got up easily, stretched a bit and turned it off.
It's finally Monday. Thank god I finally get to go back to school. Weekends are not fun times for me considering how my family is anything but loving, emotional, or sentimental.
But his weekend was, for lack of a better word, amazing. I kissed Patton. I actually kissed Patton.
I haven't been this excited to see him at school in a while. If anything, I was in more of a hurry because I wanted to see him again.
I walked over to my closet and started searching for something to wear. Eventually I decided on black jeans, a dark blue button up, and a black and blue tie.
I discarded my pajamas in my hamper and started pulling on my clothes. I grabbed my brush and fixed my hair.
Pulling on socks, I headed down to the kitchen. I glanced at the clock, 7 am. Right on schedule, as always.
I headed down the stairs, stopping at the library first. I peeked my head in to see Father sitting at his desk.
I walked over to him, keeping my hands laced respectively behind my back. I cleared my throat to gain his attention.
"Good morning Logan," He said gruffly, barely sparing me a glance.
"Morning Father," I said. "Are you aware of what day it is?"
"It is November third," Father answered. "A day of no importance. You need to be aware of the date Logan. You can't rely on others to always know."
"Apologies." I said, trying to bite back an angry retort.
"You were up late this morning," He told me, glaring up at me.
"My clock is right on time," I argued. "I was not late."
"My clock says you are, therefore, you are late." Father told me sternly. I nodded my head, having to bite my tongue to keep from arguing with him.
I have a temper. I am aware of that and I do my best to keep it in check around my parents.
"I'll be going to get my breakfast and leave for school," I told him.
"Very well," He said with a sigh, not bothering to look up from his papers.
I scowled, turning and leaving. I headed to the living room next. I have heard that some family's refer to a living room as a family room. But a room like that does not exist in this house.
I entered the room to see Mother reading a massive book, obviously from some sort of archive.
"Good morning Mother," I greeted.
"Logan," She said, not nothing with morning pleasantries.
"Are you aware of what day it is?" I asked her.
"Ask your father," Mother said, obviously getting agitated by my presence.
"I already did," I told her.
"Then why are you asking me?" She asked, shooting me an annoyed glare.
"It's November third," I said. Mother thought for a bit.
"A regular day," She finally said. "There is nothing of value to us happening in the world today."
I sighed, trying not to argue with her. This is one of the many reasons as to why I can't stand my parents.
"I'm going to go eat breakfast," I told her. I left without waiting for a response, as if she had one.
I entered the kitchen to the warm smell of pancakes. Mrs. Abbot was standing next to the stove.
"Good morning Logan," She said in a cheery voice. She was the chef my parents hired. She was an older woman but one of the best chefs ever.
"Good morning," I replied, sitting down at the island.
"How are you doing today dearie?" She asked in a motherly tone. It made me feel a little better.
"Could be better," I said, resting my chin on my hand. Mother might quite literally smack me for sitting so improperly.
"Well," She huffed. "It'll get better." She grabbed something off the stove and set it in front of me.
It was a large pancake covered in powdered sugar, syrup, and whipped cream. A bowl of fruit set off to the side.
"Happy birthday honey," She said with a gentle smile. I smiled thankfully up at her.
"You're the only person that remember," I mumbled.

"This is my beautiful, amazing, emo boyfriend!" Roman declared, hugging Virgil tightly.
"Oh my goodness!" Squealed Patton, Emile mimicking his face. "You two are dating?!"
"Yeah," Answered Virgil with a laugh. Roman sat down at our lunch table quickly and started ranting to Patton and Emile about his date with Virgil. Those two ate all the cliche romance right up.
"About time," Damien laughed, poking Virgil.
"Oh shush," Virgil mumbled, trying but failing to hide the blush coming to his cheeks.
"Logan? Patton?" Remy asked, smirking at the two of us. I gave Patton a look, the two of us silently communicating.
"We went on a date this weekend," Patton said in an adorable, flustered manner.
"Oh my, gosh peck, yes!" Roman exclaimed, flapping his hands in an excited manner.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. Patton blushed while Roman and Emile talked to him about it. Remy smirked at what he had started.
"What about you Damien?" Remy asked, propping his sunglasses on the top of his head. "You are technically the only single person in this group now."
"Oh, I don't-" Damien started, but Virgil cut him off.
"There's his crush," Virgil teased, pointing to the corner where Quinn Corotion sat. Quinn was drawing in a sketch book, biting his lip.
"Shut the hell up," Damien hissed, turning a bright red.
"Oooo~" Remy teased.
"Someone has a crush~," Patton joined in.
"You should invite him to sit with us," Emile said.
"You need to confess your love to him so that the two of you may live a long love filled life together," Roman told him.
"I will not be doing any of that," Damien said, blushing bright red.
"Gurl you just need to go for it," Remy told him.
"No way," He argued, shrinking under my gaze.
"Just ask him to sit with us and we'll see what happens," Emile suggested.
"No,"
"Please," Begged Patton.
"If you won't, I will," Remy said.
"Absolutely not," Damien said, his face twisting into one of jealousy.
"Oh my fucking god," Remy laughed. "You're freaking head over heels for this guy."
"Language," Patton chastised.
"You two would be cute together," Roman added.
"If I go ask him will you shut up about it?" Damien asked.
Roman, Emile, Patton and Remy all nodded there heads frantically. Damian let out a long sigh but then moved to get up.
"Excuse me," Said a voice behind me.
We all turned to see who it was. It was Steve. One of my friends from my old group. Mostly comprised of 'nerds' and the smart kids.
He was really into chemistry, the googles still resting on forehead. By far the best chemist this school has seen.
"Clock block," Remy whispered, followed by a grunt as Emile elbowed him for saying that.
"Logan," Steve said, handing me a card in a dark blue envelope. "My Mom told you I had to give you a birthday card, since you understand, family friends."
"Nice to know," I forced out. It's bad enough having my own family forget my birthday. I didn't want all my school friends to know about it.
"Anyways, happy birthday," He said. "Make sure to tell your mom I gave you the card so she tells my mom so I don't get into trouble."
Without another word, Steve left. I set the card on the table, not bothering to open it or give it so much as a sideways look.
"It's your birthday?!" Patton screeched. "And you didn't tell anyone?!"
"It is just a normal day of the year," I told him. "Nothing of importance."
"Dude, it's your birthday," Remy said. "You gotta throw a rager or something."
"Or just a fun get together with all of us," Emile fixed.
"With cake and ice cream!" Patton said.
"And streamers and balloons!" Roman joined in.
"No, that is not necessary," I told them, wishing they would drop the subject.
"We are throwing you a birthday party no matter what," Patton told me.
"Oh hell yes," Remy laughed. "Party on a Monday night! Let's go~!"
"You don't have to," I said.
"Too late! We're doing it!" Roman yelled.
I let out a long sigh and rubbed my temple. I looked back up at them all staring at me with giddy eyes.
"There's no way I'm getting out of this is there?" I asked.
"Nope!" They all answered.
