Ava's POV

We pull into the restaurant.

I was nervous before, but being here now in the moment made me feel crazy nervous .

I just wanted to know how Josh was feeling.

Was he as nervous as me?

Josh's POV

We pull into the restaurant parking lot.

I look over at Ava and she looks very nervous. I didnt know what to do.

Is this a good idea?

Does she actually want to be here with me?

Or would she rather be someone else? Someone better?

I park the car and turn it off.

Josh: ready?

She turns towards me. She looked worried. I know her very well. So i know this is her first date. She isn't the type to go on dates with anyone.

I put my hand on hers.

She looked up at me.

Josh: hey everything gonna be ok. I promise. Just breathe. If this is to much we can go back to mine or your place and chill there.

She starts to take deep breaths.

Does she not want to be here? With me?

Josh: ......Ava?

Ava: i want this..... im just scared Josh... i dont want things to be different....

Josh: ...... i understand.....

Ava's POV

Josh: ...... i understand.....

Oh no he looks upset. Im so scared but i need to do what makes me happy.

And Josh makes me happy.

I look up at him and hes looking down.

Nows my chance.

I grab his chin and lift it up.

I start leaning in and so does he.

Josh's POV

I felt her hand lifting up my chin.

Then all of the sudden she was leaning in. And so was I.

Then i felt her soft lips on mine.

Things were different...,

But a good different.

Ava: i want this Josh... i do.... i just want to take things slow...

Josh: me too Ava. I want you happy.

I turn on the car and start driving to my house.

Ava's POV

All of a sudden we were driving.

I felt a little bad but this is what i want.

Im not ready for big yet.

I hope hes not upset.

I look over and hes looking at me.

I put my hand out so he could hold it.

He interlocks his hand with mine.

My heart felt warm.

It was like I finally found my happiness.

And my happiness comes from being with Josh.

Josh makes me happy.
