"Ruby! Connect our hearts! Mega evolve!"  Christina's voice rang into my ears, and my collar started glowing. I felt myself changing, as if my DNA was awaking. i still wasn't used to this. I let out my battle cry and assumed my position. My opponent was just practice, a friend of Christina's. Usually he would just be a regular blaziken, but he's got some serious stats.

"Ruby Thunderbolt!" Christina ordered. I quickly summoned up a thunderbolt but Simon, the  blaziken, dodged.

"Sorry but you cramp my style." He laughs.

"Simon use power-up punch!" Brendan commanded his pokemon. Simon charged towards me.

"Dodge with bounce!" Christina ordered me again. But i was too slow,  and got hit hard.

"You little-!" i managed to yelp. He laughed as he backed up. i heard Christina's voice in my head. use bounce off of Simon. i quickly followed orders, and landed right on top of him, sending him tumbling backwards.

"Sorry doll your cramping my style." I smirked and followed another order in my head, high jump kick. I made contact and he layed on the ground.

"Good job Ruby." Christina patted my head and i returned to normal. My collar returned to my neck, the blue frilly material  made me feel more in tact with humanity. Chris took a revive out of her bag.

"No it's fine Chris  you don't have to." Brendan replied.

"i insist." She quickly sprayed the revive on Simon and i crossed my arms.  He was up in a few moment and i sighed.

"Later Brendan." Chris waved as she started walking off, hiding her face with her hair. I quickly followed.

"Hey doll!" Simon's voice called from behind me and i crankily turned around, "Maybe your ok." he laughed and continued on, leaving me to mumble to myself.
