"Daaaaaaadddddy"

I heard Lucy and saw her running I would've ran after her but my arm was in so much pain and my recovering ribs meant running was a no-no .

I had walked with her to the entrance as since I didn't have a phone we wouldn't have known if he was here or not.

I saw her jump into his arms and he swung her around as he smiled brightly. Just seeing his face instantly made me happier and guilty as well due to me asking his daughter to lie.

But I had no choice if Nikki was right and he had been considering the fact that I could be cheating, him finding out Aaron was here would just make everything worse and play right into Aaron's hands. I guess I was selfish but I would do anything not to lose any of the people in my life.

As I reached them, he had set her down and held her hand as he saw me his smile became bright yet again.

I hugged him with my other arm and he threw his arm over my shoulder and held me close.

"You okay baby girl?" I nodded as he kissed my forehead. I breath in deeply and exhaled and smiled brightly as he let me go.

"Look what Lucy won me!" I pressed a laugh and Roman began talking to her asking her how she managed to do it on her own.

She didn't mention anything about Aaron, I knew she wouldn't. She took Pinky promises very seriously, I just hated lying so much and now I made her lie to her own father well technically not lie I guess.

"Let's go get some hot dogs. I'm sure you twisted Aunty Mi's arm so that you could eat sweets all day!" He teased and winked at me.

"We only had ice-cream daddy"

"I hope so..." I felt him clutch my hand and I turned to look at him.

"Have you heard about Seth?"

I nodded. "He came to drop Lucy off as Jenna was working. What's going to happen to your title shot?"

"I honestly have no idea, guess we'll see on Monday. I'm so glad its in New York so I can be with you and.."

"Daddy look there's Elsa!" I turned and saw her and I realized we hadn't seen her before.

"I need to sit down a bit you guys go and catch up with her before you lose her"

"You sure?" I nodded and he kissed my cheek and ran off with Lucy to reach her favourite movie character.

I glanced through the crowd and saw them heading my way with hotdogs in hand.

"So were you able to reach her?" I asked as they joined me at the table and Roman handed me a hotdog.

"Yes! She sang as well, she was so pretty but not as pretty as you Aunty Mi, and mommy and Aunt Coco and.."

She was cut off by Roman as he probably figured she would go on all day.

"Hey aren't I pretty?" He teased and she turned to look at him as they sat opposite me.

"No daddy, you're a boy.. you're gross!"

She said seriously and then bit into her hot dog. I bit my lip to hold back my laughter as Roman's shocked face was priceless.

"Guess I should be happy that you feel that way about the opposite gender" Roman shook his head but she wasn't paying attention as a guy was juggling near to where we were and her eyes were focused on him.

"I guess you're the only one who thinks I'm worth paying attention to" he smirked as he took a bite.

"I don't know, that juggler sure seems intriguing." I looked over at the guy and Roman's eyes were focused on me as my eyes met his again.

"But I'd pick my Tarzan any day over any one " I smiled and hoped he believed it.

"You better, I can't go looking for another Jane when I already found the only one that matters to me in this world.." he said as he finished and placed his hand on mine.

I swallowed my last bite and then noticed something about his hand and he knew it. As I looked up he was smirking.  

"What's that?" I raised my eyebrow as I looked at the silver ring band on his left hand.

"Engagement ring" he shrugged, " apparently guys have ones too these days. I figured waiting for you to propose would take awhile, so I bought one for myself" he shook his head.

"I never knew they even..."

"Now whoever doesn't watch wrestling will know I am taken as well " he smiled, sat up and leaned over the table. He kissed me gently.

I heard him sigh as I knew he wanted more and so did I. I needed more but it would have to wait.

"Come on Luc.. let's win some more stuff and go on a few more rides. We can't leave too late tomorrow" he stood up and took her backpack before I could and handed me the bunny.

I slipped my arm around his waist as his arm draped over my shoulder again.

"You guys are back early!" I was surprised as I heard John's voice.

"I'm just going to lie her down quickly " Roman whispered as she had fallen asleep in his arms on the way back as I drove.

Roman refused to drive it as according to him since Nikki owned it, it was officially labelled as a women's vehicle and the fact that the license plate read 'COCO02' made him object even more.

I made my way to the kitchen as that was where I thought his voice had come from.

And I was right as I entered and saw them sipping some wine as Nikki sat on the counter while he sat on a stool.

"I didn't know you would be back so soon!" I smiled and made my way to him and he pulled me into a hug.

"He surprised me just as I was on my way out " Nikki smiled and I hopped onto the counter next to her and I immediately winced as I had put pressure on my arm.

"You okay Mi?" John asked and I nodded.

"What's going on?" Roman asked as he entered the kitchen and saw their concerned faces.

"I briefly forgot about my injury and hopped on here" I sighed and Roman walked over and stood between my legs.

"Have you taken the medication yet?" I shook my head.

"I'll take it before bed." I smiled and he nodded as he wrapped his arms around me and gently pulled me closer.

He rested his head against mine as both of us were staring at John.

"The lunch is still on tomorrow right cause that's one of the main reasons I made sure I got home earlier?"

"Yes John it is still on and I better be the number one reason!" She rolled her eyes and he laughed.

"Of course baby!" He winked and kissed her cheek.

"So whose getting up earlier to make something for us to take with?"

"You, since you asked Tarzan!" Nikki teased.

"Fine and do not let me give you the lecture on who the only person is that can call me that" he narrowed his eyes at her and she showed him middle finger.

"Oh Roman, I heard you flashed for my fiancé over here?" He smirked.

"Fla... oh blame Dean! Even though I know now your sex life has most likely improved thanks to my visual stuck in her head and.." his shit talking was cut short thanks to Nikki hitting his forehead.

"You only did that cause you know that Mia can't kick your ass in my honour right now!" Roman laughed.

" Oh please ... both of us knows she would defend me way before you" Nikki smiled.

"Baby gir...." I put my finger to his lips.

"Oh no I'm not getting into this!" I kissed his cheek.

"Come on Tarzan let's get to bed you have to be up early tomorrow"

"Mmmm you're right let's not hurt Nikki's feelings" he teased and lift me off the counter using me as a shield so that Nikki couldn't get to him.

I wrapped my legs around him and his hands held my thighs , "NO S-E-X IN THE HOUSE!"

I heard John and Roman rolled his eyes.

" My daughter is seven years old John, she can spell! But luckily for your ass she's a sound sleeper"

"Yeah yeah Tarzan!" Roman rolled his eyes again but didn't respond as we left the kitchen.

"This is way better than FaceTime" Roman whispered against my lips as he sat down on the bed and I straddled him.

"Really? I find FaceTime Roman much hotter, especially when he's butt naked and singing." I teased and he had an amused look on his face.

"I can give you a live show right now" he whispered against my skin as he moved my cardigan off the unbruised arm as he trailed kisses along my collar bone.

I pushed down on his lap and he immediately bit into my shoulder in response but then I remembered my bruises.

" Ro.." I breath out.

"Please don't make me stop.. " he mumbled.

"You know the rules..."

"He said no sex baby girl and we are not doing any sexing unfortunately" he smiled as he looked at me.

"I'm sure you singing to me in the nude would lead to that" I narrowed my eyes at him, he laughed and gave me two quick kisses.

"I know I'm hard to resist !" He teased.

"You are though" I smiled and kissed him.

No one could ever make me smile and laugh like he could even after I had a horrible surprise earlier that day.
