Gerald version
Dylan woke up a week ago. Doctors wanted her to stay a little longer but as I was feeling being trapped somewhere I wanted to go and she wanted to leave. Officers came in and out to tell us to testify but I tell them that we don't want to be involved in this anymore. But they want our version. So I gave them mine and Dylan.

I told the doctor to stop giving loads of drugs shit that affects Dylan to sleep. I came back from the cafeteria. I brought a sandwich, cookie and water. Before I left she was asleep. "Hey." She smiled
"Hey baby." I sat down on the chair next to the bed. I place the food and drinks in a small desk. She grabbed my hand. "How are you feeling?"
"Better. I'm just fucking irritated to be stuck here."
"Baby I know but you know the doctors won't let you till they examine you."
"What's there to be examine g? The only thing they do is putting shit loads of drugs on me to just make me sleep. I'm getting tired of it. I just want to go home and be with Suz and the whole family."
"I know baby. I'll get the doctor to see if we can go now."
"Okay and thank you my love. I really do appreciate it you staying here with me all this time." I get up from the chair and lean to her to kiss her
"I'm here for you in sickness and in health baby." I left the room. I went to the front desk to talk with the doctor. The nurse told me to meet in his office.

The doctor arrived since he wanted to talk to me. "Mr Gillum, you wanted to talk."
"Yes dr. Well my wife, I see her in a better condition and we were both wondering if you can release her so we can go."
"I see. Well I get your wife is in a stable condition but we need to examine her more."
"More what? More test? She's better! She's fine! She's healthy as a horse."
"I get it but we just don't want her to get into any physical or any contact danger."
"What danger?! Were going to be staying at my mother's house. She will be in bed rest until she is capable to do any sort of physical activity."
"We just want her here to keep any eye out like we have you sir. See your injury has healed."
"So as my wife's injury. We've been here for almost a month. We're both fine."
"I'm sorry but you and your wife have to stay a little longer."
"Okay I guess."

I get up from the chair and walked out. I went to the room were Dylan was. Anthony was there with her. "Let's get out of here. Oh hey Anthony."
"We can leave now?" Dylan questioned in excitement.
"Technically not but I'm busting you out of here."
"That's not a good idea." Anthony told us
"You try to stay here for a month then tell me how much you want to leave." Dylan told him. She took off anything that was connected to the monitor "did you bring any of my clothes Tony?"
"Uh no because I didn't know that you and Gerald was escaping from here today."
I looked at Anthony "just keep an eye out." He walks to the door. She gets up from the bed "careful."
"Gerald I'm okay, I'm not fragile like glass." I took off my jacket "here, use this since...."
"Thanks baby. I just want to get out of here. But I never thought leaving with a jacket and a hospital robe."
"Yeah." She puts on the jacket "are you going to be okay by walking bare foot or do you want me to carry you?"
"Yeah I'll be okay walking. We're trying not to make it obvious leaving."
Then Anthony called us. "We good, we can leave."
"Ready?" I looked at her.
"Yeah." She grabs my hand.

We leave the room. She puts one the hoodie and bends down her head down so the nurses or the doctors would see her. "Anthony, meet us at the lot." He nods his head then leaves. "Mr Gillum?" Shit we were almost there. We turned around and we seen the doctors "we said..."
"I know but you have us locked up here like prisoners. She's okay now."
"I was going to say you may go now. There's no point to have you both here." They left. We continued walking to the out to the lot.

I didn't say anything to my mom or my brother. Anthony was the only one that knew we were escaping from the hospital. Anthony parked his car in my ma's driveway. We got out of the car. I see Dylan's eyes tear up "you okay?"
"Yeah."
"Then why are you crying?"
"It's so surreal. Is Suz in there? Waiting for me?"
"Yeah baby, she's been there ever since the rescue. She waited for you to get better. Come on, she's dying to see you." She grabs my hand. Anthony opens the door. Mia, James and my ma were sitting in the couch at the living room. Suz was sitting on Mia's lap. When they seen us they were so happy. Ma was the first one to hug Dylan. Then Mia got up and hug her then gave Suz to her. Dylan was in tears seeing her. Then James gave her a hug.

Dylan, Suz and I went upstairs to my old room for a while before dinner was ready. My ma told us she was doing her special family dinner. Dylan was cradling Suz to sleep. "Has she always been this way, while I was at the hospital?"
"She only cried rarely when I wasn't at the house at nights because I was taking care of you."
"Aw, my baby." She got up, put Suz in her crib next to our bed. "Thank you for staying with me at the hospital." I kissed her
"I love you and that's all that matters. You took a bullet for me." She smiled "well imma go take a shower."
"Can I join you?" She smirks
"Yeah you may." I grabbed her hand leading to the restroom.
