Brick by brick
Stone by stone
After her heart was broke
She vowed to be alone

But then one day
After they'd talked for a bit
She found herself falling
For a handsome poet

As time went by
The wall started to crack
She was terrified at first
It was under attack

His poems fill her with laughter
After reading others, she cries
But he brought back the twinkle
In her beautiful eyes

Brick and stone
Did start to drop
Addicted to him
She didn't want it to stop

Slowly he hacked
And chipped away
Then there it was
Her heart on display

Broken it was
Perfectly in two
It was just like his
But he knew what to do

He weaved his words
And their hearts did tether
Made them whole again
And joined them together
