News travels fast, 

Soon family and friends arrived;

Eager to meet Leanna and Lucus, 

And hear how we all survived.

The Doc showed up, 

 As soon as he could. 

"Mother and babies are healthy! 

Congratulations, Lorne, you did good! 

I know it will be a chore, 

But you keep Myna down. 

She needs plenty of rest, 

Before she heads back to town."

"There you have it my Desert Rose, 

Straight from the Doctor's mouth!!"

I try to protest, 

But my arguments all go south.

Looks like I will be out of the game, 

For a bit longer. 

I don't want to admit it, 

But I need time to get stronger.

The Doc fills us in, 

On the latest excitement; 

How Bella had been shot, 

And 3Gun, to county went.

The babies are such a joy, 

Motherhood everything I had hoped! 

But something deep inside, 

Has me feeling roped.

It's funny how life works, 

How we can feel we're sinking in the sand.
