Two plus Two 

CG sat at the desk 

Thinking of recent events 

But nothing made sense.

He had tried to justify 

He claimed he was threatened

Who was the main villain

He said he had no choice 

They were being watched 

 So, he did as he was told 

He was frightened for his life 

And for his future wife.

CG had told him straight 

She couldn't let this slide 

Lou was a good friend 

She had died 

Hearing this, 

Patty had cried.

They would leave town 

Never to return 

All business dealing done 

Nothing further to defend 

With that came another end.

She tugged at her sleeve 

 Trying to believe.

She tried to recall

Lou in Jail 

Patty alone with gold 

Leo missing without a trail. 

Leo found by the tracks 

Hidden by the doc 

Nearly died but alive 

To the sheriff refused to talk. 

Talked to me 

He'd ratted on Lou 

Kidnappers questioned him 

Nothing else new. 

Ladies trip to and from County 

Lou had died 

Leo and Patty leaving town 

"They had lied!"

CG yelled 

 And ran to the jail 

"Sheriff! 

They liedStop the train!
