Oh, Hell No! (Ruechari)
Oh Hell No!
Brandy got the men
To carry Bruce in,
To Shamus' old place
A frown on her face.
"Put him in there."
She pointed to the bedroom
When she'd noticed
Rosetta sitting in a chair.
She seemed in a state of despair.
"Shamus and Lou, gone it isn't fair.
How am I to tell Brody,
That he has no more family?
Brandy, I can't go back to BG.
I can't face him.
I'm not as strong as Lou, or you.
I just don't know what I should do."
Brandy sighed and sat down
She still had to figure out
How to get Bruce out of town?
This was supposed to be an easy trip.
In and out, zip- zip.
Then back to her life she would go.
"No worries. I got this, Roe."
"Will you let Petra know?
There's a girl, Bella Fray.
I'm sure if you'd ask
she'd stay.
Helping Petra in any way."
"Either way Petra is capable of
Running that place on her own.
What do you have planned?"
Brandy asked.
Now that she was saddled
With this task.
"I'll go back to my horses
and my trick shows.
Wandering whichever way
The wind blows."
"Okay, take care, Roe."
Rosetta was gone by the morning light
Brandy watched her ride out of sight.
One way or another to BG
Brandy now had to go.
But how to get Bruce to follow.
She found Bruce still in bed.
Sleeping like the dead
She smiled, her head she shook
Time to take a page from Shamus' book.
She rifled through Shamus' things.
Until she found the rings.
She slipped one on
It felt weird.
She slipped his on
He didn't notice
too far gone.
She let the boys know
What was going on.
Told them to spread the word
And play along.
Donavan asked, "You sure Brandy this will do the trick?"
"Only if we all to the plan, stick."
"You really think he's the one to lead?"
"I know that's how Lou felt, so yes, indeed."
They all agreed.
Trusting Brandy to figure out
What the group needs.
To get Bruce into shape.
Some rules she may have to break.
She climbed into bed
On his chest, she laid her head.
No longer able to think
She fell asleep, her body
Over his interlinked.
Bruce woke up, he felt like hell
He wasn't alone
that much he could tell.
Across his chest
A cascade of blonde hair fell.
Brandy had him cuddled up like a stuffed bear.
He needed to get out of there.
He ran his hand
Across his face
Something cold he felt a trace.
Oh no, no, no!
What hell was on his hand?!
Please tell me, this is not a wedding band!
Against him, he felt Brandy Vine stretch
Her hand now splayed across his chest.
His only thought, how to get out that door.
When a matching ring he saw she wore.
Brandy smiled, this should be fun to fake.
He pretended to be asleep
when he realized she was awake.
She grabbed her things pretending
To sneak around the room.
"There is no way!"
he heard her say.
"That I am going to stay.
Uh-uh cowboy, not today."
She was moving at a fast and furious pace.
Soon she was gone without a trace.
Well, that was easier then he thought.
He tried to pull the ring off
But on his finger, it was caught.
He made his way to the bar.
From his place, it was not too far.
The moment he stepped inside.
People started to congratulate him
on his new bride.
"Best decision you ever made.
Marrying Brandy Vine!"
"Must be grand design!"
Donavan announced from the bar,
"To the new boss and his wife
May they live a long and prosperous life!"
"Here! Here!" echoed the crowd.
Bruce thought,
Oh for crying out loud.
He made it to Donavan behind the bar.
"Stroke of genius, Boss!
How's married life treating you so far?"
Bruce wasn't sure what he should say.
"By marrying Brandy
You removed any doubt.
Marry Brandy Vine
Gave you some clout.
In one night
You set everything right.
Those boys will listen to you now.
You must be something special
To get Brandy to settle down somehow."
Bruce couldn't remember a thing.
Only waking up wearing a matching ring.
Now Brandy's runoff.
Bruce gave a nervous cough.
"Donavan, Brandy she ah..."
"Tell me she didn't run away?
Oh man, she didn't stay?
Oh, Bruce, you're in trouble.
Better get her back here on the double."
"I think without her we'll do just fine.
Why do I need Brandy Vine?"
"Bruce, because of you they lost Lou.
You want to tell them you've lost
Lou's sister too?
If you do, I really wouldn't want to be you?"
"So she Lou's real sister?"
"That's right. That's how come it sealed
the deal for you up tight."
"Out of simple curiosity
Where do you think she'd go?"
"That's easy, the one place she would know
You wouldn't dare follow."
"Oh, hell no! Don't tell me?"
Donavan shrugged.
Bruce knew he'd have to go back to BG.
He sloshed back his drink.
Wishing he didn't have to think.
How the hell am I to convince, Brandy Vine,
That she wants to come back,
And stay this time?
Bruce said he had a mission he'd be back soon
And he left them all in the saloon.
Brandy came out from the back.
Over her shoulder her rucksack.
"Guess I best be on my way.
Don't want him getting too far ahead today."
"Good luck lass. I hope you know what you're doing."
"I never know what I'm doing, that's half the fun.
But I will keep this group together, that I promise everyone."
To all she said, good-bye.
"I don't know if I can pull this off, Lou.
But let's give it a try."
