Lorne Order the Hero - Part One 

They kicked me out 

 Of my own cafe! 

Said I can't come back, 

'Till I have this baby!

Lorne agreed, 

And took me home, 

Said I'm to stay in the house, 

Not get out and roam.

Nine months come and gone... 

A baby soon... daughter or son?

It seems there's a circus in town, 

And I'm gonna miss all the fun.

Everyone, except Lorne and I, 

Are all dolled up for opening night; 

Seems we'll be stayin' at home, 

Enjoyin' the firelight

Lorne grilled some steaks, 

Made a salad too; 

I wasn't very hungry, 

Even though I'm eatin' for two.

I decide to go to bed early, 

Somethin' seems to be a bit off. 

A good night's sleep, 

I'm sure will pay off.

The first pain comes, 

 Just after midnight. 

The second one comes, 

Before Lorne can turn on the light.

"Hold on my dear, 

I'll go get the Doc and Sue. 

It won't take long, 

They'll know just what to do." 

I scream out in pain, 

"There's no time my dear! 

This baby's comin', 

Before you could get them back here."

Lorne's face turns white, 

I see fear in his eyes. 

Another pain comes, 

I see him put on a hopeful guise.

"Lorne, some warm water and towels, 

A hot water bottle too, 

Whiskey and a very sharp knife. 

Delivering this baby is all up to you."
