Finding Direction (Ruechari)

Finding Direction

Lou sighed with frustration

Here she was again

Bailing out the Buchanan's

Why can't they follow a plan?

If she were honest

It wasn't their fault

She was use to her boys

Whom she had taught.

Her informant ring

Was second to none

There wasn't anything

She couldn't get done.

But Buck turns himself in

Without real reason

Perhaps out of guilt

But without even an alibi built?

Bruce is who knows where

She was wiling to let him go

Not that she didn't care

But if he's given all he can give

With that she could live.

But now to get Buck free

She had to see

If she could track down Bruce

Or Wade if he was still on the loose.

She had a feeling that Justice

Was throwing her off track

She thought it odd

That Billy never made it back

But she knew just where to start

In the bar, where she was to meet Write.

She scoped out the place

Until her prey came in sight.

She came up to the bar

Got him a drink.

She knew he traveled far.

By the way in the chair he did sink.

"Nice of you too offer but

It's sad said to say

I'm too tired to even to enjoy

the pleasure of you today."

"I wasn't offerin', Mitch."

Lou took her finger and tilted his chin

"I'm looking for information."

He pulled her into his lap

She gave his face a slap.

He chuckled hard

But her escape he barred.

"I've missed you, Lou.

You've been hidden away.

I was wonderin' if you'd surface

After I heard about Domain the other day."

"If you don't wish to end up like him

You'll tell me what I want to know."

He grabbed her around the waist and kissed her

Putting on a show.

"Careful Lou,

There are those who

Would love to see you dead."

She slipped coins into his pocket

"Those that have tried

Have ended up six feet under instead."

"Who you looking for?"

"Pearce Wade or the girls he'd hide

for Domain. Do you know where they reside?"

"You're looking for Pearce?

You're in the right place

He was brought to Justice

By some babyface."

"Billy!" Lou said in anger

Now that she got her answer

"Wade's not in a cell."

He knew what she wanted

But he wasn't ready to tell.

His arms around her tightened

But she wasn't the least bit frightened

She knew exactly what to do,

It came second nature to Lou.

She cozied up to him just for fun

Letting him think he had won

Until he heard against his ear

The click of her gun.

"You'll tell where Justice has him

You'll tell me now, Mitch."

"Still the same, old Lou

Still a little...."

She silenced him with a kiss.

"He's under guard at the hotel.

You won't get near him."

"And here I thought you knew me well."

Lou said with a grin.

"Leave the details up to me."

Mitch said,

"You know I'd have told you for free."

"True," said Lou,

"but I know how you love our little games."

Another kiss he tried to claim.

But she placed a finger to his lips.

His move so easy to predict.

"You really don't fight fair."

She slid from his lap, and winked.

"Thank you, Mitch. Take care."

There was only one decent hotel in town.

She distracted the owner easily.

Got a hold of the registry.

Found out which room Wade was in.

Now she knew just where to begin.

She climbed up the fire escape

First she had the wrong room by mistake.

The couple inside looked quite surprised.

When through their window she arrived.

"Carry on," she said them

Back out the window to room 10.

This time she looked before she leaped.

She'd seen Wade in bed asleep.

Inside his window she did climb

Careful not to wake him until it was time

A hand over his mouth took him by surprise

A muffled yell, he looked at Lou with wide eyes.

"Lou!

Am I glad to see you!"

"Keep your voice down.

Why is Justice keeping you here?

Your guess is as good as mine,

But I think it has something to do with Bruce, I fear."

"What makes you think it has to do with Bruce?"

"That's all Justice wanted to know about

so it wasn't hard to deduce."

Lou wondered why, Justice wanted him so bad,

He'd lie to her about information he had.

Then she remembered Bruce too

Wanting to avoid County and her suspicions grew.

"I'd seen him, Lou."

That brought Lou's mind back to the present.

"Bruce?"

That news was heaven sent.

"He came to find me

asked about the girls.

I told him all I know."

Wade filled her in,

"No, you really need to go."

"I'll get the proof.

That Domain was a sleaze.

Won't rest until Justice frees

Both you and Buck."

Wade shook his head,

"Good luck."

Lou snuck back down the stairs

Suddenly she became aware

Of someone standing at the bottom there.

Mitch ratted her out

No time to pout

She stole back into another room

Seen a maid sweeping with her broom

Gave her a sob story about running from a lover

Needing to get away without being discovered.

The maid agreed to switch clothes.

Promising not to expose.

Lou thanked her and stepped out into the hall

Pulling over her head the woman's shawl.

She walked right past Mitch and the guards

Watching them look around hard.

As the guards, went back inside

Lou laughed and stole Mitch's ride.

As she galloped past she blew him a kiss,

Saying... "Thank you, for this!"

"Damn you, Lou!"

His hat to the ground he threw

But his grin was hard to miss.
