Reading Lesson 5 (silenttomorrows)
Reading Lesson 5
Sue, you've worked, your hide off today
The buckets of dirt, you've barrowed away
While Hugh and I have dug and dug deep
Amazing Sue, just look at that heap
Sue I'm pleased, as pleased as can be
Hugh and I, found water plenty
We've fixed the walls with pieces of stone
Soon, you and I, can wend our way home
Bucket and winch, are firmly in place
The waters are fresh, feels good on your face
The well is good, as good as can be
We'll read tonight, but first get some tea
Gosh - you know how to cook a pie Sue
Where's t cut book, come here, grab a pew
How To Speak Well
You see,
well can mean very good,
feeling well not ill,
indecisive
or like we dug today
W ell ... That's it Sue .... Well
You're doin very well at reading
I'd say that you're exceeding
Where once you found it hard
I think you are succeeding
This is tricky ...
To 2 ( two) too
"It's the same word Frank
But you got different spelling
I feel my eyes are wellin
There's so much I got to learn"
Sue you deserve a magic word
I've seen one in your book
Comprised of special meaning
Shall we take another look
2 is a number we spell it as two
T double O, means when you come too
To on its own is where you go to
To
Simpler than that is, now read ... G e t - get
Remember this word ... Don't For ... get ... forget :)
"Your funny Frank, you make me smile
I don't feel quite as beguiled
That's not a magic word though is it?
It's just you teasing me, forget it"
He and Her
So near
yet so far apart
H e He like me
"Are you laughing Frank
What have you drank"
Her ..... Her
So here's our magic words
To get her
Join them up Sue
Join them
Together
"Together "
Yes Sue,
because together is a magic word
It's one that has most meaning
Together we can make a go
Together has no ceiling
What we earn we both will share
We're equal through and through
What we build is jointly owned
And will be hitherto
