Another Way

Lou waited in bed

Planning on escape

Or winding up dead

She was at peace

With either result

She would get released

Little did she know

The Buchanan's were on their way

Each not knowing how to save the day.

Bruce couldn't believe in him she had faith

Buck knew her dead was

not something he could face

Both rode in silence

but as hard as they could

Each wanting a chance to do

what they knew they should

Lou knew Domain would come to her

As the sun sunk low, she steeled herself

Against what she did know

So many times she pictured her child's face

Wondering if they'd be ashamed to have a mother

Who had fallen from grace

Or would she have had the family she wanted

But now she'll never know

Her dream forever stunted.

The man responsible came into the room

His hands upon her all too soon

Lou let her eyes flutter open

She pulled him down for a kiss.

It was quite some time 

before Domain pulled away,

"Now that's the Lou I missed."

She gave him a lazy bedroom eyed stare

Gazing up at him like she hadn't a care

He stood up and soon his pants were undone

As they slid around his ankles Lou thought,

"Time for step one."

She reached out to him but what he did not know

Is she had a knife ready, primed to go.

Deep into his leg it did sink.

Lou ran across the room like

a mad woman on the brink.

Buck and Bruce who busted in the door,

Heard from upstairs an ungodly roar.

They each took the stairs two at a time.

Neither sure what they would find.

"I'LL KILL YOU, you little...wh..."

But what Domain had said was drowned out

By the busting in of yet another door.

He lunged but his pants brought him to the floor.

Lou stood there batter and bruised.

Her clothes disheveled, her heart abused.

She didn't even flinch when the Buchanans came in.

"It's time for you to pay for your sin."

She cocked the gun, her eyes were wide

She pulled the trigger but Buck pushed her aside.

The bullet then went astray,

Hitting the wall in a ricochet.

Lou stumbled to the side.

No! He had not died!

She pulled the hammer back again.

To hell with all of them!

She aimed again, her mark was true.

"Don't do this, Lou."

She heard his voice but would not look at his face

"You don't know what he's done."

"No, but I know you're better than this... for one."

"He's the reason I'm broken. He's the reason I'm scarred.

He's the reason from all happiness, I've been barred."

The gun still in her hand remained steady and aimed.

"Scars heal, though they don't go away. But they don't

define us, I heard someone wise once say."

Lou refused to look Bruce's way.

"Domain has to die, to pay the price.

For all that I was forced to sacrifice.

My love, my child, I'll never have another."

"Like me, Lou...

there's more in life for you to discover.

You made me believe,

there is more that I can achieve.

But you do this and he wins.

Is this where your life ends or where it begins?"

Domain didn't make a move,

two guns on him were trained.

He knelt there on the floor

His clothing was bloodstained.

But it was evident by his eyes

His rage was barely contained.

Bruce no longer satisfied

Standing there on the side

Stood in front of her gun

And suddenly Lou was undone.

Forced to see his face

The look of desperation not misplaced

With shaking fingers his scar she traced.

The gun then dropped down to her side

Bruce held her as she cried.

"Come on, Lou. Let's get you home."

A maniacal laugh filled the room.

"There is no where you can hide,

you'll forever have to roam.

I get you Lou, I swear to you..."

On and on he would have drone.

Except there was a sudden blast

His expression was one...

Of shock and amazement

His chest held two holes 

from two guns.

Both brothers stood by Lou's side

Now responsible for how the Judge died.

He was not a threat anymore

His body hit the floor.

All three of them left him there

He died with no one to care.
