A Train to Catch

"Doc said, The poison on the darts was curare

For which there is no cure.

Gyn and I must help assist

In keeping them breathing

We'll work in shifts."

Lorne embraced his sister,

"AJ WILL pull through

if for no other reason

than to get back to you.

You just need to believe."

Loren nodded sadly, and took her leave. 

3Gun had his own look of concern.

Another dead-end nothing to discern.

"Gyn told Myna she didn't see a thing.

I found a knife and a trail of blood

Outside the café

Led to Tent City

then just went away."

Lorne frowned.

"Well at least we know the villain is hurt

We best put the town on alert."

"Do we even have any idea why

This happened to AJ and Ray?"

Myna asked the men with a heavy sigh.

"Robbery perhaps, but then again..."

3Gun didn't care for this person's tactics

"You're till is accounted for

so it seems rather anticlimactic."

Myna shook her head.

"A lot of effort for very little pay.

And why take it out on AJ and Ray?

Why not just run away?"

Lorne said,

"We won't find the answers standing here.

We'll get to the jail send out the alert

Find out if anyone's seen someone hurt."

"Myna you're left in charge while I'm away."

Myna nodded to 3Gun.

Lorne kissed her cheek, "I'm going with him

To see what the people have to say."

Myna nodded she understood.

"Let me know if it turns up anything good."

"Myna you know you're needed here. 

You must sit this one out I fear."

"You telling me this as my boss or as your future wife?

How do you expect me to sit idle while AJ fights for his life?"

Lorne saw her tears, 

He understood her fears. 

"I promise you who ever did this to AJ and Ray

Will one way or another pay. 

We of course will operate within the law

but should they force our hand 

I promise you I won't hesitate to let them fall. 

The wedding we will delay 

Until we have back AJ and Ray. 

I have faith Myna they'll pull through

right now they need you, and I do too." 

He held on to Myna a moment

Just held on tight.

Wishing he could speed up time

this one night. 

Lorne looked at is sister who sat by AJ's side.

His heart broke for her as she silently cried.

Someone will pay if God forbid AJ died.

The town was alerted and given the news.

Reports started flooding of items that were lifted.

Whoever the thief was he was rather gifted.

They complied quite a list

And then Will appeared in the door and said, 

"Mayor, I really must insist.

You and I have a chat."

Lorne looked up annoyed,

"We're in the middle of something here.

Several people have been robbed I fear."

"Yes, I know and I think I can help you with that."

Suddenly, 3Gun and Lorne were all ears.

"I've fallen into some financial difficulties..."

"You mean you are in the rears."

Will cringed, "Have it your way. But I'll take

Financial compensation for what I have to say."

"Let's have it first to see what it worth."

3Gun said.

"I'd seen Manny Ger's deliveryman

running from the scene."

"Enzo? Is that who you mean?"

Will nodded.

"He just boarded the early morning train.

Couldn't get on fast enough 

if you know what I'm sayin'."

"If he's our man, you understand, and this

Information leads to his capture. I'll settle your

accounts this once but you're own here after."

Will took that deal.

"My information is real."

3Gun glowered,

"Looks like I got a train to catch."

"You mean we. I want you to deputize me."

3Gun grinned and handed him a star.

"Does this mean you work for me now?"

Lorne frowned. "I wouldn't go that far."

Will watched the duo ride out.

They had a master thief to catch.

Will almost felt sorry for Enzo,

For being up against Lorne and 3Gun

Together... he'd be far out matched.
