A Promise

The picnic was the place to be

Everything was so lovely

Loren felt to happy for Myna

and her brother.

She knew forever for him

It would be Myna and no other.

Still she was happy to be back home

And get a moment with AJ alone

Every minute spent away from him

Seemed an eternity lived again.

After all they've been through

He took off running but Nod quickly gained

Sue apologized and sent Frank for the muffins

It really was the least of her worries.

She sat watching AJ work, her eyes blurry.

He looked up at her from kneading the dough

She stood up and walked over to him

He wiped his hands on his apron

"I think you and I should get some time away

Sometime after the wedding day

AJ held her tighter, he knew this wasn't his Loren

She was a fighter

Loren looked up suddenly,
